World Pillow Fight Day

World pillow fight day? That’s what the Kougar heard... oh, purr, to be that carefree, once again.
There is such a heaviness to the world now days... completely understandable. Life is becoming miserable for more and more people. The Kougar grieves, and wishes she owned a magic wand that worked to bring forth the good times. And she wishes life could be as carefree as a free-for-all pillow fight ~ for all of us.
As moi grew up, she desperately wished to know what it felt like to be carefree. Not that there was no goodness and joy in her life, there was. Meow-but it was never carefree. In fact, at one point, it became a goal, one never achieved, except in this KitKat’s imagination and stories.

Today, the Kougar paw-penned the opening to a Title Magic bloggie presenting the blurb and excerpt for MURDER BY HAIR SPRAY IN GARDENIA, NEW ATLANTIS ~
Moi had no idea, the opening would turn out like it did, until it was written.
Just for the Big Beautiful Cats, here it is ~

I am so pleased this story was published for several reasons, one of them being I've always wanted to write a love story that included Atlantis, past and future.
Atlantis was a long-lived empire where magic was the norm. What kind of magic? That subject is collosal.
One of the most magical and exciting to me was the magical manipulation of genes to create new or variants of animal species. For example, the Cheetah. Recently, it's been documented that the Cheetah was a created species, not one which evolved Darwinian style. This was revealed by an in-depth study of the Cheetah's genetic code.
Unlike today, where designer genes are created via the techniques of science, in the Atlantean times, genes were also imprinted with a holo image of the animal design desired by those who wished to bring it about. Now, this alone may not seem magical. However, often the design for new animals came from a dream, or a mystical vision. Further, not only was a holo imprint placed by use of type of laser we don't currently possess in our technology, the intention of the Creators was also placed in the genes. Usually this was not just for the physical design of the animal, but for personality and character.
How do I know all this? The imagination is wonderful thing. It's downright magical.

Part 97 ~

Sylva sizzled with dreamy passion, and wondered if men carrying women this way was normal on this Earth. Around her, fancy crystal sconces lined the wall, the light shimmering over walls the color of antique gold. “You can put me down,” she offered.
“Zeke,” a man’s baritone voice greeted. “This way, ole’ son.” Halting, Zeke lowered her beside him in a dashing manner that left her quivering inside. “Roy, meet my bride, Sylva.” Sylva started to extend her hand, but froze. She had no idea what proper etiquette was here. Embarrassment stealing over her, she turned toward her cowboy husband.

Zeke lifted his bride’s hand gently. “What do I do?” she asked. “I mean I don’t know what’s customary here. Back home, I would shake his hand.” Her gaze implored him. “No, darlin’, this is my mistake.” He caressed her cheek with his fingertips. “I’m so hoof-stuck in the head over you, I forgot to explain our social ways. Offer the top of your hand to Roy, and say, pleased to meet you.” Pivoting, she gave Roy her hand, repeating his words. Roy clicked his heels together, slightly bowed over her hand touching a kiss. Rising, he wiggled his handlebar mustache.
