Yep, my Big Sassy Cats, it’s the shot heard ‘round author-world. The Kougar doesn’t know the latest in this Big Web Biz monopoly-move by Amazon, nor does she know the whole sordid story which Borders on the ridiculous, at first glance.
What she does know. Never trust a Monopoly business. Doesn’t matter who is at the helm... could be the best, most honorable person in the world... absolute power corrupts absolutely.
For more details, author Jeanne Barrack has posted info at the Liquid Silver blog.
The following is a comment made by moi of the Liquid Silver forum ~
Not surprising. This kind of generally happens the bigger a company becomes, certainly if they have monopoly status. Well, I say, let them have the goody two shoes market only.
Readers who want the genre of books they're denying should be kindly shown where to go to purchase the titles they want, elsewhere.
Amazon has the We're too Big to Fail attitude going... so, we can do what we want...
Of course, they might need the foot they shot off. *Shrug*

Further comment ~ Now would be a good time for those with the cahonies to step up and create rival companies to Amazon. Also, every other bookseller should take advantage of this ax-strike through Amazon’s armor. There is no reason for authors or readers to suffer this kind of degrading decision.

While the Kougar was paw-penning The Weekly Angelic Forecast from Volcano ~ she heard this song lyric ~ Angels dining at the Ritz ~ a song done by Glenn Miller’s band. The real and tragic story of Mr. Miller’s capture by the Nazis was told on Coast-to-Coast am, last night.
Glenn Miller - A Nightingale Sang In Berkeley Square
WHEN TRUE LOVERS MEET IN MAYFAIR SO THE LEGEND TELLS
SONG-BIRDS SING, WINTER TURNS TO SPRING
EVERY WINDING STREET IN MAYFAIR FALLS BENEATH THE SPELL
I KNOW SUCH ENCHANTMENT CAN BE
'CAUSE IT HAPPENED ONE EVENING TO ME
THAT CERTAIN NIGHT THE NIGHT WE MET
THERE WAS MAGIC ABROAD IN THE AIR
THERE WERE ANGELS DINING AT THE RITZ
AND A NIGHTINGALE SANG IN BERKELEY SQUARE
I MAY BE RIGHT I MAY BE WRONG
BUT I'M PERFECTLY WILLING TO SWEAR
THAT WHEN YOU TURNED AND SMILED AT ME
A NIGHTINGALE SANG IN BERKELEY SQUARE
THE MOON THAT LINGERED OVER LONDON TOWN
POOR PUZZLED MOON HE WORE A FROWN
HOW COULD HE KNOW WE TWO WERE SO IN LOVE
THE WHOLE DARNED WORLD SEEMED UP-SIDE DOWN
THE STREETS OF TOWN WERE PAVED WITH STARS
IT WAS SUCH A ROMANTIC AFFAIR
AND AS WE KISSED AND SAID GOODNIGHT
A NIGHTINGALE SANG IN BERKELEY SQUARE
HOW STRANGE IT WAS, HOW SWEET AND STRANGE
THERE WAS NEVER A DREAM TO COMPARE
WITH THAT HAZY, CRAZY, NIGHT WE MET
WHEN A NIGHTINGALE SANG IN BERKELEY SQUARE
THIS HEART OF MINE BEAT LOUD AND FAST
LIKE A MERRY-GO-ROUND IN A FAIR
FOR WE WERE DANCING CHEEK TO CHEEK
AND A NIGHTINGALE SANG IN BERKELEY SQUARE
WHEN DAWN CAME STEALING UP ALL GOLD AND BLUE
TO INTERRUPT OUR RENDEZVOUS
I STILL REMEMBER HOW YOU SMILED AND SAID
"WAS THAT A DREAM OR WAS IT TRUE?"
OUR HOMEWARD STEP WAS JUST AS LIGHT
AS THE TAP-DANCING FEET OF ASTAIRE
AND LIKE AN ECHO FAR AWAY
A NIGHTINGALE SANG IN BERKELEY SQUARE
I KNOW CAUSE I WAS THERE
THAT NIGHT IN BERKELEY SQUARE

X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues...
Part 107 ~
Sylva figured her best option at the moment was to ride out the current soap-opera storm whirling around her. “I like his fancified duds. What do I call you, by the way?” Guiding her toward what appeared to be a sitting area, he halted, half-turning beside her. “Royce will do just fine.” He bestowed a smile on her, one designed to disarm her. “May I offer you a beverage?” he asked. Behind his amazing blue eyes Sylva watched him assess her without appearing to. “I’d prefer it, if you took me to a place where I can observe my husband.”
Zeke approached, keeping one eagle eye on Merlinda’s whip hand. Her skill, especially when her temper had been aroused, was notoriously good. Behind her, he caught a glimpse of Barnabas Lockerbie, a man who lusted after Merlinda from afar ever since she’d granted him a few nights of her charming company in bed, several years ago. One problem, Barnabas was lousy with a rope. “What have you got to say for yourself, Zeke Dhurago Vintorr?” Merlinda’s tone was a low shriek while her eyes spilled flaming lava. Zeke thought of several things, none of them what she wanted to hear.

Volcano’s Angelic Forecast for this week ~
Straight from the Carnal Cherub himself...
Angelic Forecast ~ XXXII
The following week will bring no let up in intensity. Instead there will be subtle ratcheting up of divisive energies. This will show up on a personal level as miscommunications and misunderstandings. Indeed, proceed carefully and look for the truth in all matters before flying off into action. On the world stage there will be major happenings behind the scenes which will manifest in the next two weeks. There are likely to be more than one major event happening at once. Hold onto your hats and not because of the Spring winds, which are likely to be forceful.
