Bird Invasion and a Hanging Snake...

Bird invasion and a hanging snake... and how was your Friday, my Big Sassy Cats? The Kougar ended up with three frantic birdies in her lair... darling adorable little brown critters with blush-red breasts... without too much mishap, they all winged their way back outside when the windows and doors were opened... so, okay, moi is diligently finishing up her edits, which turned out to be a bigger, more complex endeavor than she realized... no meow, moi will spare you the boring details... when, her mommy calls for her in that voice that lets you know, okay, something major is going on... outside the dining room’s oblong large window is a hanging snake... a good three footer, at least... dark-colored... you can’t tell it’s a snake at first because it looks like part of the ~ THIS BLOG IS INTERRUPTED DUE TO THE STUPID WORDPERFECT PROGRAM WHICH HAS JUST SCREWED UP THE FORMATTING ON THE EDITS DOCUMENT MOI SLAVED OVER TODAY... however, having had this happen before the Kougar created a copy document as a fall back position... roar and scratch wordperfect’s eyes out, this nasty glitch caused part of moi’s bloggie to be lost... it’s been exactly that kind of day, my Kitties....exactly-yowl that kind of day!!!
So where was the Kougar in her snake saga ... the snake looks like part of a cord thingie which is hanging down from the roof’s overhang for some purpose moi is not aware of because it came with the house.... anyway, the Kougaress is now staring closely at this snake’s head because we are separated by glass... said snake does not appear poisonous, not having a triangular head or the right eyes... it turns out the snake is hanging because its tail stip is stuck inside of loop of the cord... and it’s wriggling to free itself... moi decides to head outside to assist... however, the snake suddenly frees itself falling from the window ledge close to the doggie pen... on the chance it is poisonous the Kougar heads outside, grabs a long plastic pole... so, in the meantime moi’s mommy decides it’s a rattler... however when moi lifts its tail with the pole it doesn’t rattle nor look like its about to rattle and there is no attacking fang strike...
The drama goes on... not to worry, though, my Big Kittens, so far all is well... and no one has been harmed...
Not to also mention, there were those four young pythons that got loose on a passenger airplane... okay, how monumentally stupid is that? Transporting wild animals with passengers... I wonder what greed-inebriated genius thought that one up.
Yeah, gee, I want to get on a plane with snakes on board.

Sylva started at the crash of the whip, even seeing the snake-like lash snap beside Merlinda. Royce lightly gripped her shoulders, making certain she didn’t fall over the railing. Before she could thank him, Whip Woman’s words reverberated throughout the ballroom. Irony of ironies Sylva understood, given the unpredictable hand of fate in her own life. Until maybe now, with Zeke. And, here, on this Earth. While empathy filled her, she was also ready to tell Merlinda to keep her big fat mitts off her cowboy husband. Which struck Sylva as oddly irrational. She’d known him for about six hours.

Zeke considered how to keep Merlinda’s attention on him without feeling the wrath of her whip. Barnabas eased ever closer, a large loop dangling from his hand. A piercing look of hope and purpose gleamed in his pale gray eyes. It was against the code for Zeke to grab hold of Merlinda and pin her arms, or restrain her in any manner. She seethed, her breaths puffing in and out like a bull on the rampage. “What can I do to help you?” Zeke quietly inquired. Her eyes spit fire. Her mouth opened like a chasm, loosing a horrendous scream.
