Monday's Robin Redbreast

This afternoon, my Loveliest Kittens, the Kougar spied her first robin redbreast, despite the hideous cold setback to Spring. He sat atop a twelve foot fence panel seemingly oblivious to moi’s doggies, who paid him no attention either. Unusual, indeed. More unusual, he remained in position until this cat girl retrieved her glasses, all the better to see him with.
In a flash, the Kougaress remembered what she’d written as an opening to Volcano’s Angelic Forecast ~

“Escalating big time,” I say while watching the robin redbreast spread his wings, then launch from the Heavenly One’s finger.

Part 100 ~

Sylva felt her eyes nearly desert their sockets as Zeke escorted her inside. Lavish was her first thought. The decor and furnishings of the private booth, the size of a small loft apartment, were intricate in design. Even the two heart-shaped, antique gold chairs, padded with jade green velvet, sat on legs made of extravagant celtic knots. She stared, fascinated by how the various shades of green, the aurora crystalline surfaces and the golden accents made the room magical and richly romantic. “What do you think, darlin’?” Zeke purred close to her ear. “It’s perfect for a tryst,” she answered.

Zeke eyed Roy, who remained at the entrance, and nodded. “Once you’ve decided on what flavors of cherry you’d like, Sylva, I’ll have that Cherry Splash served to you. May your fantasies come true.” Roy briefly bowed his head, then closed the door. Gently gripping his bride’s upper arm, Zeke guided her toward the exquisitely draped entrance, and pulled the heavy brocade aside. Before them was an excellent view of couples whirling on the enormous pearlescent dance floor. The fast strains of a swing waltz drifted up to their level, about ten feet above the dancers. ”Cool,” she softly enthused.

“Escalating big time,” I say while watching the robin redbreast spread his wings, then launch from the Heavenly One’s finger.
He nods sagely. “The intensity becomes ever more intense.” He smiles like he has the most fun secret.
“What?”
“The good, the bad, the ugly.” The Cherub pretends to draw his gun, and shoots toward a peach tree. Instantly brand new buds appear.
I wonder if there will be more peaches this year. “The Clint Eastwood spaghetti western?”
