Monday, Monday, it just turned out that way...

Pic from ~ http://freedigitalphotos.net/images/photos/Pink-Flamingo.jpg ~

Yeppers, lots of peppers, my darling Big Cats, that’s how Monday went for the Kougar... yowl! Just turned out that way...
A rumbling I swear, fractiousness and stuff in disarray... it must be the top vibration. Many grrrring shakes of this Big Cat girl’s head!!! Not that the world is in great shape. Roar about disarray, tons o’ discontent and contentious fires breaking out all over.
Moi may have to consider paw-penning some daydreamy escapist poetry.

~~~
Yep-meow and that ain’t all. Moi learned some disturbing historical facts today that she’d never known about. Seems the US census that was taken before World War II was turned over to the FBI by President Roosevelt. That information was used to round up Japanese and German US citizens, for the purpose of putting them into camps.
Gee, how often does history repeat itself? And, guess what, your door has been GPS-ed.
~~~
Happy news... happy mews... the Kougar needs some happy snappy news... Oops, there it is! The heavens have delivered. Moi just spied this story on the ticker headliner thing at the top of her monitor ~

Screamin' seafaring tale wins bad writing contest
From Associated Press
June 29, 2009 7:53 PM EST
SAN JOSE, California - A shambling sentence about screaming seafarers on the sturdy whaler Ellie May stood shoulders above the rest in an annual bad writing contest.

David McKenzie, 55, of Federal Way, Washington state, won the grand prize in San Jose State University's annual Bulwer-Lytton Fiction Contest with this:

"Folks say that if you listen real close at the height of the full moon, when the wind is blowin' off Nantucket Sound from the nor' east and the dogs are howlin' for no earthly reason, you can hear the awful screams of the crew of the `Ellie May,' a sturdy whaler Captained by John McTavish; for it was on just such a night when the rum was flowin' and, Davey Jones be damned, big John brought his men on deck for the first of several screaming contests."

The contest, a parody of prose, invites entrants to submit bad opening sentences to imaginary novels. It is named after Victorian writer Edward George Earl Bulwer-Lytton, who opened his 1830 novel "Paul Clifford," with the much-quoted, "It was a dark and stormy night ..."

Contest categories include purple prose and vile puns. Among other winners announced Monday were:

- "How best to pluck the exquisite Toothpick of Ramses from between a pair of acrimonious vipers before the demonic Guards of Nicobar returned should have held Indy's full attention, but in the back of his mind he still wondered why all the others who had agreed to take part in his wife's holiday scavenger hunt had been assigned to find stuff like a Phillips screwdriver or blue masking tape," from Joe Wyatt of Amarillo, Texas, winner in the adventure category.

- "She walked into my office on legs as long as one of those long-legged birds that you see in Florida the pink ones, not the white ones except that she was standing on both of them, not just one of them, like those birds, the pink ones, and she wasn't wearing pink, but I knew right away that she was trouble, which those birds usually aren't," from Eric Rice of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, winner in the detective category.

Just for the cowboy lovin’ big cats ~ a sneaky peekie NARRATIVE-snippet from BRANDED BY THE TEXANS...

Once her crying jag eased off, Dillon glanced at the position of the sun through the sparse new leaves of elderly aspen trees. A green-golden transparency, they delicately fluttered in the low wind. It was comin’ onto late afternoon and they were still about two hours ride from the ranch house.
Sniffling, she still clung onto him. He wasn’t certain if it was because she’d exhausted herself or simply needed to hold onto something. God willing, he wanted to be the man, the something she always held onto.

X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues....

Part 184 ~

Sylva watched the colorful images his story evoked flash before her mind’s eye. “We were sluggin’ away at each other, both of us in a red blazin’ frenzy. Bets were already being made as to who would win and how long it’d take. When neither one of us showed any signs of quittin’, the owner rounded up his ‘brawl boys’ as he called them. Between the six of them, they managed to shove us outside while we kept pounding on each other. For good measure the brawl boys pushed us into a giant ole’ mud puddle from the morning’s downpour.”

Zeke paused recalling the oozing chill of the mud until the heat from both of their adrenalin-rampaging bodies had warmed it up. “There we were rollin’ around like two yearling bulls, head-butting each other because our fists were slidin’ off. Truth is, we ended up on our butts as much as we plowed into each other. Naturally, a crowd gathered and they were shoutin’ bets, howling with laughter and slapping their knees to boot. That only fired up me and Ranson. We started circling each other, looking for wrestling holds. Course, we were slimy with mud from head to toe.”

Weekly Angelic Forecast from Volcano

Straight from the Carnal Cherub himself...

Angelic Forecast ~ #43

For the following week take your ease, or make your life as easy as possible. Think about this seriously. What would make your life flow with more ease? Once a solution appears, act on it as you can. One step toward ease brings about another step, then another step. This is important for the future.
With Independence Day coming up this Saturday, this is also the ideal time to consider freedom and that means to you personally, and what it means to the world as a whole community. For, freedom, is the watch word of the Aquarian Age.

Zeke and Ransom sound like they were pretty young.

Maybe Ransom got over the trouble and just wants to say, "Howdy."
