Koko Taylor, this big cat wishes she’d known her...

Associated Press headline ~ Blues queen Koko Taylor dies at 80
From http://kokotaylor.com ~
Born Cora Walton on a sharecropper’s farm just outside Memphis, TN, on September 28, 1928, Koko, nicknamed for her love of chocolate, fell in love with music at an early age. Inspired by gospel music and WDIA blues disc jockeys B.B. King and Rufus Thomas, Taylor began belting the blues with her five brothers and sisters, accompanying themselves on their homemade instruments. In 1952, Taylor and her soon-to-be-husband, the late Robert “Pops” Taylor, traveled to Chicago with nothing but, in Koko’s words, “thirty-five cents and a box of Ritz Crackers.

Though the Kougar was raised in the whitebread suburbs, as they’ve been called, she became musically hooked by the Blues, a B.B. King tune, the very first time she listened to the raw sensual beat and soul crooning at a small outdoor summer concert... way back when.
Meow-indeed, If it were possible to take little time travel trips back, this big cat would definitely get to know Koko Taylor and her blues music, up close and in feline person.
Wouldn’t that be a big kick and a big hoot... time travel jaunts back into your own lifetime to do all those things you wanted to do, but never got to do. Like see Jimi Hendrix perform in person. See Janet Joplin again... and on, and on... there’s a great story in there somewhere. The Kougar may discover it and paw-pen it.
Oops, that is, if her creative energies don’t stagnate. If she can crawl out from beneath the editorial whip of *some* and recover her authoress liberty.
~~~
Ooooh, Kittens, the Kougar’s red roses are in full glorious bloom and look like Spirit Hearts. Tomorrow moi needs to trim off some dead branches and give them some extra water. She has kept them very well fertilized with the willing assistance of her poochie babes... who never stop giving in this manner.
Slow tail twitches... to perk herself up today the Kougar penned part Three of Romance’s Red Ribbon ~ The Romance of Prince Zrejovv ~ now posted on the Happily Ever After blog.
BREAKING NEWS, MY KITKATS ~
'Embarrassing' mistake puts US nuke list online
By H. JOSEF HEBERT (Associated Press Writer)
From Associated Press
June 03, 2009 7:13 PM EST
WASHINGTON - The government's inadvertent and red-faced Internet posting of a 266-page list of U.S. nuclear sites provided a one-step guide for anyone wanting details about such sensitive information. Obama administration officials said Wednesday the document contained no classified material about nuclear weapons. They contended the locations and other details already were available from public sources.
Energy Secretary Steven Chu said "a snafu" led to the online posting. "A little embarrassing," he acknowledged.
The document, stamped "highly confidential safeguards sensitive," made it onto the Government Printing Office's Web site - and why that happened was not immediately clear. A newsletter that focuses on government secrecy quickly picked up on it. The printing office removed the document when informed "about the potential sensitive nature" of the list, the agency said.
By then it was too late.
COMMENTARY ~ Yowling-gee, this is the government that is gps-ing your front door and demanding every iota of your personal information with the promise it will be kept confidential... yeah, what a load of fat bloated stinky trout that is.
Happy Courtship on another Earth
X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues....
Part 158 ~
Sylva stroked her parted lips back and forth over her cowboy’s firmly textured mouth.
She basked in the freedom to kiss him as she felt most passionately inspired to do. “Cherry Rootbeer,” he whispered against her mouth. “Here?” Sylva withdrew her lips. “Here,” he affirmed. “Enter,” he called out, yet didn’t move them. Instead he cuddled her, holding her on his lap. Sylva decided she could *sooo* get used to this. That is, if this kissing-couch scenario continued between them. Moments later a waiter entered carrying a fancy silver tray with their drinks. With a flourish, he set it down.
Zeke nodded his thanks as Vincent bowed briefly. “May I bring you anything else, Mr. Vintorr?” Covering his Sylva’s little hand, he loosely clasped. “Not right now. Thank you.” Pausing, Vincent faced him. “There is a message from your father waiting for you back at your family apartment. He said it is not urgent, however it is a matter which requires your attention. My pardon for the interruption of your honeymoon.” Vincent bowed again, then swiftly pivoted, departing. “Cold water,” his bride murmured. “Yep, darlin’, it does throw cold water on our ardor.” Gently, he lifted her from his lap.
I found you. Didn't think I could go the day without knowing how things are going with Zeke and Sylva.
Does this mean Sylva is going to meet the in-laws soon?
I will of course, be back tomorrow to find out.
(Oh, and Gem and Royce are doing fine.)
~kitty cat pace~ aah, time travel back to see what things you missed or really want to see again! Happiness would abound if I could do that... Aerosmith concerts, The Beatles, Cat Stevens before he was not Cat Stevens...and I won't even get started on the historical events...grassy knoll anyone? LOL
Thing is I would need two lifetimes to his some of my tops! hehe
Write it Lady Kougar for I shall read!
I'm trying to think of another writer's forum where we could continue with Zeke, Royce and Tanner ~ that is, if you two are interested.
I looked at Romance Divas... but my little dial-up isn't happy there.
Gem... thanks for the latest on you and Royce...
Lady Shay ~ yes, the grassy knowl is an absolute must... oh, wow! yep, it would take up a lifetime exploring your own lifetime... except if time was suspended while you traveled... hmmmm...
Serena Shay said...
Oooh suspending time would be good and with that you could decide to be either in the past moment, where you could interact with people, or outside of the moment, where you moved around it where no one could see you, but you could be right there as it was happening!
Kitty purr...I could be on stage with Steven Tyler and Joe Perry! I could be right behind the rickity fence as the final shot rang out!
Definite possibilities here!
I'd love to continue with Zeke, Tanner and Royce...if you can find somewhere that works for you...bummer that RD is a no go.
I'm following, and w/u Savanna. Left a comment at another thread below. but I'll say it again.
I love the way you create sensuous male characters. Heck, u make me want to jump Zeke's bones and I'm all tied up with Royce.
Let me know where yu decide to post, I'll follow.
LOL, Gem..."tied up with Royce, huh" Did he go for the ropes after he pull you though that dimensional hole in the ceiling? I love it!
I agree, Savanna does do very sensuous male characters! ;-)
