David Carradine, may he rest in sweetest peace.
Yes, my darling-est KitKats, the Kougar was a devoted fan of Kung Fu, the olden times’ TV show where the wisdom and power of the East meets the wild chaos of the Old West. There was something truly mystical and magical about that weekly show, something that fed the soul of humanity. In this day and age, too often, TV starves the soul in this Big Cat’s opinion.
Now, with the passage of time, the promise and hope of Kung Fu has been lost. What our future could have been... if... if the world had turned toward service and the love of our fellow beings, if enough of us had turned toward real power and the ability to protect ourselves... instead of letting our protection be the provence of those who, too often, have their own corrupt agendas and care nothing about our welfare... if we have practiced true prosperity and generosity, instead of looking to the consumption of products as our salvation... *the Kougar does like her things... make no mistake* still, the general worship of greed serves no one in the long run.
Yet, for one bright shining moment there was Kung Fu like there was Camelot, once upon a time...

~~~~~~
Ooooh, Big Kittens, the John Maher Trio *sp?*, absolutely tore it up on the Tonight Show with their rendition of California Dreaming... utterly excite-matastic. Rick Nelson and Jimi Hendrix must spun their essences together and created this super-talented kid.
Just for the cowboy lovin’ big cats ~ a sneaky peekie snippet from BRANDED BY THE TEXANS...
“Not overly fond of men, are you?” he asked, his tone neutral.
“That sounds like an indictment, as though I should be fond of them.” She gave him a glare for good measure.
“I’m certainly fond of you already, Sparks.”
“Yeah? Probably for all the wrong reasons.”
Hearing a torrent of rain strike one side of the hut, Kylie jumped, landing on her somewhat sore butt. “Ow.” She stopped her hand from rubbing, then twisted so she leaned on the side of her hip.
“I’ll put some salve on.”
“No, thank you,” she snapped.
Now ~ FIRST! just for the big cool cats ~
Happy Courtship on another Earth
X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues....
Part 159 ~
Sylva felt trembly and uncertain, a complete turnabout from the passionate heaven she’d been in. The stark realization she truly knew little about this Earth hit her between the eyes. Yes, she figured she was probably overreacting. Still, she was allowed. It wasn’t a everyday a woman crossed into a parallel dimension. Zeke gently grasped her arm guiding toward their table. “We should leave so...” He didn’t let her finish, turning before her. “No, my beautiful bride, if my father says it’s not immediate, his word is gold. Let’s watch the dancers with our drinks. Whatever it is will wait, darlin’.”
Zeke watched the clouds of uncertainty in his woman’s eyes. Until she got her footing here, he’d have to take particular care. She was a filly suddenly out of her territory, no matter if she was developing a deep fondness for him and was becoming as passionate for him as he was for her. He caressed the top of her fingertips with his lips. “Are you feeling weary?” She shook her head no and gave him a wan little smile. “I’m feeling lost.” Zeke drew her close, pressing a kiss on top of her head. He stroked her little back.
How sad about David Carradine. I too liked Kung Fu, it was a show I watched with my dad. It's interesting how some things are put into perspective when someone dies. When I saw my dad yesterday, I was going to tell him about DC's death, but he beat me to the punch...and do you know, he looked forlorn about it. This person he didn't know, but a show he watched a lot. I have to wonder, was my dad thinking of his own mortality, his lost youth or something else altogether.
LOL...where did that come from?
Thanks for the sneaky peekie!!
Your Branded is wonderful, Savanna. I want to read it. When will it be available?
And as for Zeke and Sylva, *He caressed the top of her fingertips with his lips.*
You do the most sensuous love scenes...I love them.
Keep them coming, I'll be back. Oh, I'm w/u on DC's passing. Sad.
Serena, fascinating about your Dad. That show had a deep impact on a lot of people I knew at the time.
Gem, thanks. Branded is still being written as I type here. I'm hoping to complete it this month and get to Siren... but, I dunno, it all depends.
Ladies, I'm thinking of putting Sylva and Zeke's story on The Romance Studio forum. It isn't over active yet as far as lots of participation. However, I think it could be a good opportunity for us all to get exposure with the readers.
A lot of readers enjoy hanging out at The Romance Studio.
LOL...The Romance Studio would be a good spot for Zeke and Sylvia and I'm all for good promo for all of us! You know, everyday I think I'm getting better about knowing what's what with publishing a book and then ~blush~ the newbie comes out... I had no idea about TRS! LOL
So, I'm going to sign up, but any suggestions on basic vs upgraded membership?
Serena, I just started out with the basic membership. Then, when they had a good advertising sale and I had a couple of titles, I went for it.
Their sight is good eye candy, for one thing. And I've found out they are good to work with. I signed up for another year's package when they had Memorial day sale.
I'm also blogging with them once a month. And they other great opportunities, most of which I haven't taken advantage.
I contacted Holly about the Sylva and Zeke's story because I didn't know the best way to use their forum.
She just contacted back and made good suggestions. Anyway, it could be a jumping off point for all of us, as far as engaging the readers and having some fun.
Cool! Thanks for the info Savanna. I just signed up for the basic package to get started. :)
Let me know when you want to start up Earth II again. I'm all for having fun!!
