Robin Hood ~ Errol Flynn ~ 1937

Sarah Simas: Hero Worship ~ Good evening, my loveliest Big Cats, that’s the title for Sarah’s Hero blog at THE PINK BLOG... it got the Kougar thinking, rebellious kitty girl that she is...
1937 ~ This year breaks down to a TWO in numerology. This year, 2009, is also a TWO year. Thus, the renegade romantic tale of Robin Hood sums up these times in many ways. According to the legend, dearest Robin steals from the rich and gives to the poor.
Robin Hood doesn’t just steal from the rich, he steals from those who are villains like a current-day Bernie Madoff [madoff ~ or ‘made off’ ~ good grief how ridiculously obvious is that?]
*O my sigh* goodness, why wouldn’t Maid Marion fall for Robin? Not only does he woo her in that vigorous dashing way of the swashbuckling hero, but in her heart of hearts, Marion must feel Robin’s good heart. After all, Marion naturally loves the goodness of people and of life. Her heart would know Robin’s truest motivations.
As silly as it seems to some, the Kougaress has concluded, just in writing this bloggie, that this 1937 black and white movie was a divine sort of message to us now, in this year of 2009.
Those of us with good hearts need to prevail. And we would do well to follow Robin and Marion’s example as an archetypal way to prevail over those of Madoff’s ilk, those who behave like the Sheriff of Nottingham. Because Madoff ain’t the only one. He’s the tip of the proverbial massive-crimes’ iceberg.

~~~~~~
Yes, the Kougar is holding up her paw as being against the Health Care bill, since it would endanger her life and others like moi. Just last night, the Kougaress heard a long-time expert on vaccines say that her family would likely die if forced to be inoculated because they are all severely allergy prone. If anyone wants to RAT this Big Cat out to the government per suggestion by the Executive Branch leader... here’s your chance.
X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues....
Part 221 ~
Sylva vacillated, her feelings and thoughts like a pendulum swinging back and forth crazily. She burned with desire and she blazed with fury. Passionately tamed by the right man... yes, yes, yes! Even if that did frighten her some. Manipulatively tamed to be a certain type of wife... Sylva raged, a wildfire ready to consume any man who attempted it. So, here she was, at a relationship impasse with not one idea of how to handle it, or her cowboy husband. Not only that, the Ranson situation was dangerous for her, for Zeke. Frightened and frustrated, her face flamed redder.
Zeke knew his Sylva couldn’t decide whether to race away from him like a filly from an over-aggressive stud or charge him and stomp his hide into the ground. At the same time, he smelled her fiery passion. He also felt her concern for him and for the current challenge. Following his man’s instinct, Zeke bent to her lips slowly. When she didn’t jerk away, he thanked the Good Lord profusely. Melding his mouth with hers softly, he kissed her with the tenderness of his heart. As she gradually responded, he carefully deepened their kiss drawing her close against him.
Wednesday ~ Sarah Simas: Hero Worship
Sara, fantastic bloggie! I first fell for Robinhood watching that 1937 black and white film. No one has the unique dash of Errol Flynn. Course, I wondered why Maid Marion wasn't riding with him... actually, she does in a lot of stories.
We are exceptionally lucky to 'create the men of our dreams over and over' ~ You are so right. Beautifully spoken.
I HERO ~ Adrian Paul in his role as the Highlander, especially.
However, there have been many, many romance novel heroes who did it for me. Johanna Lindsey's heroes included.
Note: I thought it was Clark Gable who starred in IT HAPPENED ONE NIGHT.
Cary Grant is ultra sexy in TO CATCH A THIEF
Tuesday ~ Bad Boy or Anti-Hero ~ LK Hunsaker ~ L.K., congrats on your latest. Looks like a winner!
Wow, this hero thing is deep. I always thought of an anti-hero as being a true rebel or renegade for all the right reasons. At least, in the end, like Han Solo.
He would stand by Princess Leah forever.
Personally, I can't go with Rhett actually leaving Scarlett. He'd come to his senses after a night out with a whiskey bottle. But that's just me.
James Dean in 'Rebel'... sexy as all heck... but, the character isn't a real man, imho. That would end it for me and my heroines.
NOTE: US patent 5911998 ~ method of producing a vaccine from the diseased kidneys of african green monkeys... they are infected, then killed after extensive suffering, to use their cell line for one company’s swine flu vaccine.
Not only is this cruelty intolerable, is this something you want in your body or the body of your loved ones?
Zeke handled that one just right. I think the men on Earth II must be a lot more sensitive than Earth I.
~aaah~ Robin of Locksly, the meer mention of his name makes me darn near swoon...
I am a total Robin Hood fan. Movies, TV, BBC, the old showtime series...I've watched them all and drooled over Robin's big heart everytime!
However, my first Robin love was the little red Robin Hood fox from Disney...big kitty crushes there!
Thanks for bringing us a Robin Hood moment!! Hum...maybe I need to think of a Robin Hood story...hehehe
Ah...men in tights. *sighs* They run around the forest looking for fights. What could be better?
Gem ~ Zeke did handle it right. Though, Sylva not completely won over.
Serena ~ Oh, I remember Disney's little red fox Robin Hood. Thanks1 for jogging my memory.
I'd so love to do a Robin Hood type of story. I have a few started, of course, one where the heroine is Robin Hood.
Hi Jolie, nope, nothin' better than men in tights looking for fights, unless they're looking for me.
