Stormy Days Are Here...

It’s here! It’s here! The Kougar’s print copy of MURDER BY HAIR SPRAY IN GARDENIA, NEW ATLANTIS... kiss, kiss... smoochie, smoochie... it looks stunning, thanks to Jinger Heaston’s cover art.
Flipping through her own novel, moi was captured by her writing... always a cool feeling as an author... yeah-meow, I want to read this.

~~~
Stormy days are here... or they were yesterday... a quiet autumn-like evening on the tame prairie tonight, meow-however... and the Kougar is not feeling real frisky, roar and phhhht, since she wanted to get lots of good penning accomplished.
Yowl, storms of every type are on the horizon, my Gorgeous Big Kittens. Tail twitching languorously, it doesn’t take intuition to know that. It’s simply a matter of looking around at what is happening.
Here’s an interesting e-article the Kougar found at
Strong Storms Hit US as Bill Becomes 'Extremely Dangerous'
20-Aug-2009
Colorado Tornado
Don't say we didn't warn you: Powerful storms crossed the central and northeastern US as Hurricane Bill became an 'extremely dangerous' storm in the South Atlantic. So far this year, the US tornado season has been relatively mild, but it threatened to increase in intensity today as powerful storms struck from Colorado to New York.New York's Central Park lost over a hundred trees to 80 MPH winds, one of the strongest storms to strike the park in years. Meanwhile, Hurricane Bill increased in strength to a Category 4 storm and was expected to strengthen further as it continues to move north and west toward the US East Coast.
Hurricane Bill has reached Category 4 on the Saffir-Simpson scale. Category 4 hurricanes generate winds of 133-155 mph, and are described as extremely dangerous storms capable of causing devastating damage. The storm could cause dangerous rip tides all along the US east coast, and is expected to make landfall as a much weakened Category 2 or 3 storm in Newfoundland next week. However, if it turns into the Caribbean or strikes the southeastern US, it could evolve into a catastrophic storm.
And!
Anchorage, Alaska had a 5 magnitude earthquake.
BTW, why should Google have any right whatsoever to any copyrighted book or materials, unless said permission is granted by the author or the author’s estate. Books and materials still under copyright should NOT be in the e-publishing province of now-sinister-looming Google.
This Big Cat DOES NOT give permission, despite any so-called legal ruling in Google’s favor or simply because Google *says* it has the right. This fraud perpetrated on all of us with legal copyrights, by the courts and by Google, is negated simply because IT IS FRAUDULENT, given it’s common law nature.
And, no, it does not require written denial by the author or the author’s estate. This demand for a written denial is a trick since it will now enter the person into the legal purview of Google, for example, as in operating under maritime law as opposed to common law.
Every act by Google, in this matter, is absolutely fraudulent. The only thing going on is that Google is getting away with it, so far, and being allowed to get away with it.
Gee, the payoffs must be going deep.
Just for the cowboy lovin’ big cats ~ a sneaky peekie PASSION-snippet from BRANDED BY THE TEXANS...
Dillon loosed a primitive growl that made Kylie quake inside and feel magnificently abandoned. Looping his hard-muscled arm around her waist, her Viking cowboy righted her. In the same motion he lifted her astride his thighs with a powerful ease that left her even more breathless.
Happy Courtship on another Earth
X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues....
Part 236 ~
Sylva stared at the brass bell, then at the tall, willowy woman holding it, who reminded her of a young Julia Roberts. “Is there a problem, sweetheart?” A man’s voice boomed from a back room. “Not if everyone minds their manners.” The woman pointedly gazed at Sally. “If I ring this bell again, Stanley will be right out here. He knows where you live, Miss Hansen, and will escort you home.” Her face tight as a mask, Sally whirled around and strode hurriedly for the door, running outside. “Poor thing. It will take her time to get over you, Zeke.”
Zeke flashed a grin of appreciation, only a small one. Stanley’s fist was as hard as the anvil he used for his black-smithing. “You know I never encouraged Miss Sally.” Bethhanne fluttered her hand dismissively. “Oh, I know. Everyone knows that. But when a woman gets a love struck eye at that age, she can’t see past it often. Was there something special you and your bride were looking for?” Zeke waved his arm. “Everything you have is special. There’s a pink frock my Sylva took a liking to. I saw a white lacy one I want her wearin’, also.”
Moi’s comment mew-sings ~
Lindsay, everyone has beautifully expressed what's true about your heroines and your skillful brilliant writing.
One reason I find your heroines so appealing is because they represent their times in the sense that they overcome and live, not merely exist. And they are tough, physically and mentally, or they learn to be.
Thanks for sharing Ahhotpe. She's a wonderful anti-heroine! And she's so Egyptian. You must have lived during that time.
As women why shouldn't we write what we know... ourselves.
I have to agree with Linda. It's really tiresome when the focus of a story or a movie is solely on the man or men... which occurs all too often, imho.
Oh, big deal, who cares about fiction that constantly makes the male sex the center of the universe. Why isn't woman and man, as portrayed together, the center of their universe?
