Silver Angel ~ What’s Great About this Cover Art...

Oh, my adored Big Cats, the moon was a gorgeous silvery white crescent in the twilight sky. Then she hung lower in the night sky having become a Halloween orange.
~~~
What’s great about this cover art? No, not the heroine’s cascading abundance of platinum tresses, the likes of which this Big Cat girl has never seen in reality.
Okay, meow and rub, the hero is a sexy enough fantasy.
What’s really great? Why is this KitKat gleeful and giddy? It’s the heroine’s thighs. Talk about a real size and a real shape, even if they are still on slender side... purring-wowee and yes, give this Romance Kitten more, more!
Truth and confession... moi is utterly nauseated by all the skinny thighs on romance novel covers these days. Not out of jealousy. Not as a put down of any woman’s actual shape and figure, either.
Let the Kougar put it this way, if she were a male she wouldn’t be dating women with thin swan-like thighs. Not attractive to her aesthetic sensibilities or her sex hormones, at all.
Johanna Lindsey. Silver Angel.
New York: Avon Books, 1988.
Kidnapped and sold into slavery, Chantelle Burke was led into the Pasha's scented chambers swearing she'd never surrender to this ruthless master. But she was stunned by the magnificently handsome man who awaited her amid the silk and splendor. His piercing emerald eyes held her in their power; his muscular embrace made her weak with desire even as she defied him. She was his to do with as he would. Yet this mysterious stranger -- whose eastern garb concealed his true identity -- touched her only with tenderness, driving her wild with new sensation, his scorching kisses igniting the fires of her very soul...and sweeping her beyond the harem walls into a palace of love's eternal dream.
OR!
Abducted and sold into slavery, Chantelle Burke has been brought to the palace of a mighty Pasha. Vowing never to bow to this ruthless master's will, the young Englishwoman weakens within the silken splendor of his chambers, and after one glare into his piercing emerald eyes.
The stunningly handsome Pasha is a powerful, muscular figure yet he caresses the lovely addition to his harem with a fond tenderness that only succeeds in driving her wild. But beneath his exotic eastern garb, the cryptic Pasha shrouds his true identify - one that he finds difficult to conceal when he wants so much to surrender his heart and soul to the irresistible Chantelle
Here’s the beginning ~
Shifter Super Solder... I stare at his sin-tempting mouth.
Greeting, shapeshifter lovers, I think a little walk on the dark side is in order for this bloggie. Yep, the dark side has many subgenre facets for us fiction writers. For today, I’d like to ask a question and do a bit of conjecturing.
Happy Courtship on another Earth
X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues....
Part 240 ~
Sylva wasn’t certain she should have said all that. But there it was. And he’d asked. Lowering her gaze, she offered. “As long as it’s safe, yes, why not?” Feeling Zeke’s intense gaze, Sylva slowly raised her face to him, again. “It’s merely a resonance reading of your body’s outline. There’s no penetration by frequencies, if that’s what’s botherin’ you, darlin’.” Sylva couldn’t help but give him a smile. “On this Earth I can believe that.” Just to satisfy herself, she added, “I don’t think any technology that interfered with the longevity of people would be allowed, would it, cowboy?”
Zeke shook his head ‘no’. “Absolutely not. Whoever perpetrated that fraud would be shot dead in no time. And faster if it harmed womenfolk.” Dang, if he didn’t feel like reaching for his sidearm now. Instead, he brought her hand to his lips and pressed a kiss. “I’ll be waitin’ right here. Won’t take but a few minutes.” Reaching down for her shoulders, Zeke caressed, then gently faced his wife toward a small lounge area. “See that camera-looking machine, darlin’. You just slowly turn a full circle. That’s all there is to it. Bethanne makes certain the image is complete.”
Moi’s comment mew-sings ~
Lindsay, everyone has beautifully expressed what's true about your heroines and your skillful brilliant writing.
One reason I find your heroines so appealing is because they represent their times in the sense that they overcome and live, not merely exist. And they are tough, physically and mentally, or they learn to be.
Thanks for sharing Ahhotpe. She's a wonderful anti-heroine! And she's so Egyptian. You must have lived during that time.
As women why shouldn't we write what we know... ourselves.
I have to agree with Linda. It's really tiresome when the focus of a story or a movie is solely on the man or men... which occurs all too often, imho.
Oh, big deal, who cares about fiction that constantly makes the male sex the center of the universe. Why isn't woman and man, as portrayed together, the center of their universe?
Weekly Angelic Forecast from Volcano
Straight from the Carnal Cherub himself...
Angelic Forecast ~ #51
The next week will be interesting to say the very least. It is likely that there will be a memorable event. On a personal level this is a week to simply take as it comes, then deal to the best of your ability. Often, the actions to take will become obvious shortly after the event has taken place.
On the world stage there are events shaping up which have been created to act like a three-ring circus. You can’t watch all the rings at the same time. It may be wise to notice what takes place, yet remain distant and use your logical discernment as well as your spiritual discernment.
Take care this week. An event may catch you too unaware.
Two things. Zeke must be incredibly wealthy, and women are very rare on Earth II.
Oh I agree, it is purring sweet to see a more realistic female size on the covers of these books. Real beauty is inside and cares not the size of it's vessel. :)
Gem ~ Zeke is wealthy enough. And women are definitely rare.
Serena ~ 'cares not the size of it's vessel.' ~ luv it!
