Creepies

My sun-loving Big Cats, what an outdoorsy day for the Kougar. The sun shone in a lovely blue sky. There were some fluffy adorable clouds. The air was on the delightfully cool side.
This Big Cat worked in the yard pulling up plants and cutting down those in the way... a big achievement, given moi’s health has not been up to the task before. Maaoowww, it took its toll, but it was worth it.

~~~
The creepies... not the Halloween creepies just around the Autumn corner... though, the Kougaress can feel those heebie jeebies... oh, shudder and fright!
No, something terribly creepy is in the air. Moi hopes it will not come about... the vibration is of the very air being rent, torn asunder in different directions... a totally nightmarish scene ensues... instead, may peace and love abound for All.
If you have a yen for the whole idea of time travel as a reality, then Search Engine the name, John Titor. This is simply a fascinating story unto itself, true or not. And a lot of the predictions are coming about, though some of them not in the time frame stated, yet it is close. It’s been awhile since the Kougaress has read John Titor’s responses to online questions. He claimed to have been from the year 2036. This is one of those stories which simply has to be experienced and judged on an individual basis.
Hey, hep cats, did you see the news story about the Paraglider at JFK airport? He swooped in, set down, then took off. Now that’s airport security for ya. It’s just about pickin’ on the little guy and making ‘im pay, not about actually protecting anyone from the bad guys.
Happy Courtship on another Earth
X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues....
Part 238 ~
Sylva took in the dreamy concoction of lace and floaty fabric. Maybe there were places to wear a dress like that here. She had to assume that was true. “What do you think, my Sylva?” her cowboy asked. Subtly, he caressed the top of her hand. “It’s beyond lovely. Of course, I’d like to wear it.” Tilting her head, she smiled at him. “Where do women wear those dresses?” Humor lit his eyes before he threw back this head, laughing heartily for a moment. “I’m sorry, darlin’. You caught me off guard. I imagine Dad is appreciating mother in one now.”
Zeke considered his Sylva’s expression to be priceless. “You dress for dinner?” she asked. “Most evenings. Tonight they are probably dining in the patio garden or picnicking on the hillside that overlooks the house. Is there another frock that pleases your eye, my Sylva?” Her eyes widened as if he’d offered her something impossible. However, his woman came through, remaining true to her feminine nature. “The sun yellow one is beautiful,” she tentatively answered. Bethanne immediately moved to place the white frock on the hook and retrieve what was called a dance-swinging frock because of the fluid skirt and sleeves.
Moi’s comment mew-sings ~
Lindsay, everyone has beautifully expressed what's true about your heroines and your skillful brilliant writing.
One reason I find your heroines so appealing is because they represent their times in the sense that they overcome and live, not merely exist. And they are tough, physically and mentally, or they learn to be.
Thanks for sharing Ahhotpe. She's a wonderful anti-heroine! And she's so Egyptian. You must have lived during that time.
As women why shouldn't we write what we know... ourselves.
I have to agree with Linda. It's really tiresome when the focus of a story or a movie is solely on the man or men... which occurs all too often, imho.
Oh, big deal, who cares about fiction that constantly makes the male sex the center of the universe. Why isn't woman and man, as portrayed together, the center of their universe?
