The Happening ~ Woodstock

Wow, my gorgeous Big Kittens, time is a real killer these days. Way too many things to accomplish and not nearly enough energy or time to get it all done. Moi’s head is spinning like a time travel clock.
Today, the Kougar saw the ticker headline about the fortieth anniversary of Woodstock. And while she wasn’t there, just thought about going, moi did see the movie, of course. Only it wasn’t a movie, just like Woodstock wasn’t merely a concert.
It was a HAPPENING. That’s an outdated generational word now. Still, it was perfect for its time and a perfect expression for the initial rise of the Aquarian Age. Or, to phrase the experience another way, it was an Aquarian Conspiracy, as explained in the book by the same title.
HAPPENINGS happen, meaning they aren’t planned so much as unconsciously agreed to by those of the same MIND. HAPPENINGS are created by a group of people who share the same desired experience.
In fact, nearly every plan made for the concert was thwarted and only miraculous occurrences or happenings saved the day. That is group mind at work.
Woodstock was the outcome of all those who wanted that wild liberating, we care for each other experience. Even those of us not there wanted that experience, wanted that movie. Wanted Richie Havens singing FREEDOM. Talk about a soul-moving, *shatter me out of the box* moment.
Listening, watching Richie Havens and all the performances was touching Earth and Heaven at the same time. The music, the songs, the people throbbed through you, a thousand heartbeats throbbing as one in celebration of life and the universe. It was what our future could have been, a real HAPPENING, if we could have held onto it. But, we didn’t. The darker forces got us.
Back then.

E-swindling or what some label e-piracy ~ Francesca does an outstanding job of explaining what it is and the nasty negative affects it has on us authors at ~ SHAPESHIFTER SEDUCTIONS.
Here’s moi’s comment mew-sings ~

Hi Francesca, I completely agree with you about e-swindling. As authors we've suffered over our craft, spent tons o' time, done lots of research. If we were paid by the hour we'd all be fairly well off, by today's standards.
What is it with people and thinking it's okay to let artists starve? I don't get that. I never have. It's as though the creative effort is worth nothing.
Another point, it's different if a person shares a book with a friend because it's one book. Sharing is not X times X copies to everyone out there who wants it.
It truly saddens me that we, as artists, are so undervalued at times.

X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues....

Part 226 ~

Sylva faced her vanity mirror after deciding which cosmetics to use. In the mood for a ‘golden’ look, she applied an antique gold eye shadow and a translucent golden shimmer to her eyelids. As she made up her face worry ate at her. She even attempted to ‘tune in’ using her intuition. All she got was a belly full of butterflies. Still, her patience had been rewarded in the past when she’d kept a connection with her sixth sense. She’d been able to avoid bad situations, traffic accidents being one example, finding out the next day there had been fatalities.

Zeke hung his gun belt near the door that lead down to the street. He’d placed two knives and two derringers within easy reach, yet positioned so they couldn’t harm his Sylva. Unable to do anything but strut toward his wife, Zeke halted at the entrance rapping with his knuckles. “Ready to laced up, darlin’?” he called out. “Ready, willing and able,” she sang back. “Come on in, good-smellin’ man.” Grinning in anticipation, despite how stallion-tense he felt, Zeke sauntered inward. “Aren’t you every cowgirl’s dream?” His wife smiled appreciatively. “Thanks, cowgirl, but I’m thinking you’re the dream come true.”

Most people don’t enjoy blemishes. We throw away moldy bread, agonize over pimples, and rub those little smears on the mirror. Why then, do we prefer our heroes with a few defects?

Sara, fantastic bloggie! I first fell for Robinhood watching that 1937 black and white film. No one has the unique dash of Errol Flynn. Course, I wondered why Maid Marion wasn't riding with him... actually, she does in a lot of stories.
We are exceptionally lucky to 'create the men of our dreams over and over' ~ You are so right. Beautifully spoken.
I HERO ~ Adrian Paul in his role as the Highlander, especially.
However, there have been many, many romance novel heroes who did it for me. Johanna Lindsey's heroes included.
Note: I thought it was Clark Gable who starred in IT HAPPENED ONE NIGHT.

Weekly Angelic Forecast from Volcano

Straight from the Carnal Cherub himself...

Angelic Forecast ~ #49

The following week and month will be known as a time of Escalation. An Escalation of the Unraveling. Everything that should be, is coming apart at the seams. It’s time to weave a new cloth, to weave society anew.
Watch with care, the World Stage, and what is taking place. Most of the explosive drama is just that, a drama presented to promote an agenda most people don’t want.
Also, take special care in noticing what continues to unravel in your personal life. For, this is the time to catch that stitch in time, or simply let go to create anew. Use your inner wisdom to know the difference in which action to take.

Aaahh the kitteny happiness of Woodstock! I'd have loved to have been there, taking in the sense of rightness, possitivity.

The music was pretty darn fabulous as well!

Unfortunately, I'd not been born quite yet.... :)
