Abbey Road ~ Sharing an Anniversary with the Beatles

Beautiful Big Cats ~ Yeppers, Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band is the album that had the song LUCY IN THE SKY WITH DIAMONDS ~ one of the inspirations for the Kougar’s One Year Anniversary bookie ~ TANGERINE CARNAL DREAMS.
On August 8, 1969, forty years ago, the picture cover art for the Beatle’s last album together, ABBEY ROAD, was shot as shown above. Now, that’s kind of a neat synchronicity.
Listed below are the songs from ABBEY ROAD, all of the beloved by this Big Cat girl. Maybe the next title in this series could be Here Comes the Tangerine Sun... whaddya think?

Side one ~
"Come Together"
"Something"
"Maxwell's Silver Hammer"
"Oh! Darling"
"Octopus's Garden"
"I Want You (She's So Heavy)"
Side two ~
"Here Comes the Sun"
"Because"
The medley
"Her Majesty"

Yesterday, moi added her next installment to the Never-Ending Story. To her happy surprise Dobie Gillis showed up, in a manner of speaking. For those of you who are too young to remember that ancient TV show and Dwayne Hickman, the actor who played Dobie, well, there’s always Google. Then, you can read ~ Dobie Gillis, the Demon at RomanticSynonmous ~

X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues....

Part 224 ~

Sylva sighed inside with delight and moved toward the blouses, already seeing the right one. “I know exactly where to go for your first pair of boots. Until then, darlin’, there are several pairs of evening-wear moccasins.” Moving beside her, Zeke lifted the lid of a medium-sized chest. “Beautiful,” she murmured. Enchanted by the four pairs of ankle-high beaded moccasins inside, Sylva bent over selecting the ones that matched her outfit. “If you want to leave a girl alone, I’ll holler when I need lacing up.” Straightening, she smiled at her cowboy. “I’ll go make myself a good-smellin’ man for you.”

Zeke touched a kiss to his Sylva’s cheek, then pivoted from her. After checking his Messager, he headed inside his own dressing area. The black western-style suit was casual enough and designed for easy access to a variety of weapons, both guns and knives. He planned on being loaded for bear or Ranson, figuring his past nemesis would be doin’ the same. Zeke admitted he had a nasty feeling in the pit of his belly, like a viper lay in wait. Only he wasn’t certain that it was Ranson. It could be the Secret Circle Gang’s plans for his Sylva.

Monday ~ Serena Shay guest blogs ~ What Almost Killed My Happily Ever After?
Coming soon!
The ROOM theme is on HEA and is anything about rooms - your own inner space and psyche, the rooms you inhabit in your imagination, a room that holds a pivotal place in one of your novels, the room where you write, a room where something romantic happened to you or yours or one of your characters. Your own favourite room. Whatever you fancy. It could be a perfect room that you devise and share with us.
Whatever you fancy!
Cheers, Lindsay

Friday ~ Danielle Thorne ~ My hero! Why imperfect is perfect
Most people don’t enjoy blemishes. We throw away moldy bread, agonize over pimples, and rub those little smears on the mirror. Why then, do we prefer our heroes with a few defects?
Moi’s comment mew-sings ~
Turtle Soup is a fab title and I love your premise...
Love conquers all imperfections... so it is... here's to your beautiful post.
Thursday ~ My kind of hero... by Judah Raine ~ “I suppose, when it really comes down to it, I’m a pretty independent girl.” Another fabulous blog by Judah!
Wednesday ~ Sarah Simas: Hero Worship
Sara, fantastic bloggie! I first fell for Robinhood watching that 1937 black and white film. No one has the unique dash of Errol Flynn. Course, I wondered why Maid Marion wasn't riding with him... actually, she does in a lot of stories.
We are exceptionally lucky to 'create the men of our dreams over and over' ~ You are so right. Beautifully spoken.
I HERO ~ Adrian Paul in his role as the Highlander, especially.
However, there have been many, many romance novel heroes who did it for me. Johanna Lindsey's heroes included.
Note: I thought it was Clark Gable who starred in IT HAPPENED ONE NIGHT.
Cary Grant is ultra sexy in TO CATCH A THIEF
