In Honor of Bunnies... yes, it will be here in a few days, the official Chinese New Year of the Rabbit... here’s a newsie article about how bunnies are jumping to their ascendency...
oh, if you believe the rabbits aren’t enjoying themselves, overall... well, don’t believe it... many animal psychics will tell you not every animal wants to live in the wild... some of them actually prefer living with humans and enjoy these sorts of competitions... after all, animals are individuals, too.

British bunnies have been in training to take on their champion counterparts from Sweden

Thousands of small animals are expected in Harrogate as the town hosts what is described as the UK's first "rabbit grand national".

British rabbits have been in training to take on Swedish champions.

The event, which is more akin to show jumping, will allow the animals to show how high they can leap.

It is part of the Burgess Premier Small Animal Show which is being held at the Yorkshire Event Centre over the weekend.

Hailed as "The Crufts of the small animal world", the show will feature more than 3,000 rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, mice and rats.

The rabbit grand national is new addition to the event, which has been running for 89 years.

Organisers said British rabbits had been in training to "take on serious international competition from four of Sweden's finest jumpers, who are flying in with their owners".

They said 13 rabbits would take part in a course, which is based on horse jumping, but designed to be "rabbit friendly".

The current world record for the highest jump was set in 1997 by Danish rabbit Tosen, who jumped almost 1m.

Rabbit trainer Maureen Hoyle said: "Rabbits are much more intelligent than people give them credit for."

Ms Hoyle, from Huddersfield, who is entering her Himalayan miniature lop Smudge, said: "Rabbits will naturally jump over any object in its way.

"I get quite a few jokes about me and rabbit jumping... that's the general of the public, they can't believe that rabbits enjoy jumping."

STAR TIGER

On January 30, l948, the Tudor aircraft Star Tiger and its twenty-nine passengers suddenly went missing in midflight. It was the first of three unexplained disappearances within a year that gave the Bermuda Triangle its notorious reputation. Shortly before their estimated arrival in Bermuda, Robert Tuck, the experienced radio operator on the Star Tiger, relayed information about the plane's position to the highly qualified Captain B. W. McMillian. They were right on course and would arrive on schedule. Their arrival time came and went. The Star Tiger was never heard from again. An intensive search revealed no sign of the craft; no debris, oil slicks, wreckage, or passengers were ever found, in spite of searches in the craft's last known location.

Sylva massaged, rhythmically pressing her toes on the balls of her cowboy’s feet. “I do like the way you tell a joke, handsome. More like a story.” With a slight upturn of his lips, her husband settled himself a bit lower. “I surely do like what you’re doin’, wife. You have until next year to quit making my feet happy.” Sylva made a pretense of stopping. “Do I now?” Her Zeke gave one cocky nod, his chin barely above the water. “Yep, darlin’. My feet belong to you.” Sylva slid her big toe along his arch. “Well, in that case...”

Zeke figured he’d get to tellin’ the joke again, before he decided to tame his bride beneath him. He intended on doin’ a whole lot of that later. Timin’ being everything, he wanted to keep their passions hot and high as a bonfire. “Well, now, Joe had to wonder why two Pinkertons in a row hadn’t tossed a coin down for their drinks. So, when a third Pinkerton sauntered in like a puffed up rooster, he quaffed the rest of his ale, then sat back to watch from the corner of his eye. Sure enough, Barth poured out a drink.”
