Snow in Hawaii... no worries...

Evening meows, my mighty Aphrodite KitKats... omygoodness, there are some gorgeous icicles hanging from the south side roof... they look like holiday decorations... and one of them is about four feet in length... yes, still bitter cold on the tame prairie... however by the variety and large number of tracks in the snow, the critters are out and about... a most beautiful cardinal male perched atop a fence panel and showed himself off for awhile this afternoon.
~~~
Snow in Hawaii... no worries... okay, according to the weather news there’s now snow in 49 states... yes, and in Hawaii. Of course, to those of us who don’t reside in that glorious state, that sounds dang off kilter. However, the snow is atop a mountain volcano that can and does get snow... it’s not like there are flurries of snow on the beaches. So far. Still, the weather is shifting, and has shifted into a new dynamic. After all, flood disasters are occurring all over the globe. Temps are off the charts, either cold or hot. Plus, there’s a whole laundry list of evidence. Climate change, as it’s sometimes called, is here.
While it’s NOT manmade, or created by the supposed un-green sins of us human beings... [Note: the Kougaress is all for responsible ways to cherish and take care of Mother Earth] Nevertheless, due to how the sun is being influenced by current galactic forces, and the sun drives the weather on our beloved Earth, yes, climate change is occurring as it has always occurred since the Earth was born.
There are also diabolical forces at work, the black side sometimes called the Military Industrial Complex is one. Yes, the weather can be controlled to a degree, and often is, using the HAARP array in Alaska, for example. Russia, China, and probably other countries, as well, are able to influence and change the weather. Tornadoes can be created. Hurricanes can be whipped up. The jet stream can be altered somewhat, which, of course, changes the weather.
Also, the whole Gulf of Mexico tragedy/horror caused the gulf stream to stall, and change, thus affecting the weather, and leaving Europe bitterly cold with tons o’ snow.
How much is it Mother Nature and the galactic forces? How much of it is a weather war between different world factions? How much of it is the sinister doings of those like the military industrial complex? Or, only the Divine knows what else?
Good question.
Squirrel Interrupted and Other Amusing Tales
by Rebecca Murray
Hi and welcome to your Wednesday fix of Shapeshifter Seductions. Rebecca here, writing while huddled in front of my heater, wearing a fluffy afghan like it was an article of clothing and sipping hot chocolate laced with Bailey‘s. How about those frigid temps hitting most of the northern hemisphere? Normally I’d be wishing I was down south, but I’d rather be freezing than trying to outrun a wall of flood water like they did in Australia this week!
A Funny Thing Happened...
By Dee Brice
A funny thing happened on my way to becoming a published author. I slipped into something a little more…erotic. And I’ve stayed there since 2006, when I wrote my first erotic romance and made my first ever sale.
On beauty
by Vivien Jackson
Folks who write and read in the romance genre deal with beauty a lot: heroines and heroes are often (almost always?) physically attractive. Even Margaret Mitchell's assertion that "Scarlett O'Hara was not beautiful" is disingenuous considering the novel that followed. None of this is unexpected: it's part of the fantasy that we want to buy into, and there's nothing wrong with wanting to be beautiful.
Right?
Antimatter from thunderstorms
Antimatter caught streaming from thunderstorms on Earth
By Jason Palmer Science and technology reporter, BBC News, Seattle
A space telescope has accidentally spotted thunderstorms on Earth producing beams of antimatter.
Such storms have long been known to give rise to fleeting sparks of light called terrestrial gamma-ray flashes.
But results from the Fermi telescope show they also give out streams of electrons and their antimatter counterparts, positrons.
The surprise result was presented by researchers at the American Astronomical Society meeting in the US.
It deepens a mystery about terrestrial gamma-ray flashes, or TGFs - sparks of light that are estimated to occur 500 times a day in thunderstorms on Earth. They are a complex interplay of light and matter whose origin is poorly understood.
X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues...
Part 745 ~
Sylva tingled with fascination as she listened to Grant. She smiled, and felt her own glow when he kissed Marina. Silence reigned for a short time. “Guess our Grant damn well answered,” Nevada uttered, his tone thoughtful. “I heard talk of the V, son. I know the Center has had a few dealings with ‘em. How does that fit in with the picture you’re startin’ to paint?” Zeke set his mug down, and stroked her hand. “Van and me followed the robo-plane lookin’ for the sidewinders that launched it. Saw a fancy jeep flyer and thought we had our quarry.”
Zeke took a moment, recalling the scene. “But like flushed quail two men jumped out when the front of the flyer exploded. Figured they were agents ‘cause they ran professionally, and their endurance was dang impressive. Then, when a second robo-plane showed gunnin’ for ‘em, we intervened.” Marina arched her brow, a sure sign that what Zeke was tellin’ them, they already knew. He sat back, embracing his Sylva’s hand. “Gist is the two men are high-up agents from the V, and now they’re going to the Center in a cooperative effort. Seems there’s a hidden super collider lab nearby.”
Warning... guess what, smartphones ain’t so smart. They can’t protect you from thieves, and expert hackers who, once they have your phone, can crack any code and use your smartphone the same way you’re currently using it... yeah, like for bank transactions... or to ruin your social reputation via Facebook. How about if you use it like a credit card?
