Monopoly, when I was a kid kitten...

Ever play the board game, Monopoly? My Big Lovely KitKats? You know, take over the financial world through skill and luck, by a roll of the dice. Moi always wanted the Scottie dog. For the past month the Kougar has been vividly recalling how she would avidly play the game... for hours at a time during two summers, at least, as if possessed... from nine to thirteen years old. Playing became such an obsession, the Kougar remembers lucid moments of asking herself why. What was the attraction? Why was she doing this?
It was a definite head-shaker.
Yes, playing with the other cub-kids and with moi’s parents, those were good times. Yep, handling the play money was fun. Learning how to win was a thrill. Buy Park Place, no matter what. And, ultimately, the act of rolling double numbers after double numbers with the dice, became a strange fascination... once it was thirteen times in a row. What are the odds of that occurring? Nope, this big cat has never calculated that figure.
Still, why?
And why didn’t the Kougar hit Vegas with her ability to roll doubles? Tempting as that was... in the end, it’s a losing game, even if it could have been accomplished... which the Divine probably would not have allowed, number one. Number two, who wants to be targeted for kidnaping or extortion because of a paranormal-type ability. Number three... yeah, like the Casino security would believe you’re not cheating somehow.
So... why now? Why these consistent persistent thoughts about playing Monopoly fiendishly for several summers? At the time, this kitten girl finally decided she was supposed to learn something important... like how to succeed in the world high finance?
Well, believe me, that hasn’t happened. The Kougar has never even been close.

Monopoly... think about it. Monopoly means taking over completely. Eliminating the competition, so you’re the only business left standing.

Here’s the online dictionary definition:
1. exclusive control of a commodity or service in a particular market, or a control that makes possible the manipulation of prices. Compare duopoly, oligopoly.
2. an exclusive privilege to carry on a business, traffic, or service, granted by a government.
3. the exclusive possession or control of something.
4. something that is the subject of such control, as a commodity or service.
5. a company or group that has such control.
6. the market condition that exists when there is only one seller.
7. (initial capital letter) a board game in which a player attempts to gain a monopoly of real estate by advancing around the board and purchasing property, acquiring capital by collecting rent from other players whose pieces land on that property.

And, here are synonyms listed:

cartel
control
corner
domination
syndicate
trust
holding
ownership
patent
pool
proprietorship

Yup, the dictionary about sums it up.
And Thomas Jefferson sums it up, now. This is why the Kougar is remembering.

Thomas Jefferson

(1743-1826)
(Born April 13, 1743, at Shadwell, Virginia; died July 4, 1826, Monticello)

Author of the Declaration of Independence and the Statute of Virginia for Religious Freedom, third president of the United States, and founder of the University of Virginia -- voiced the aspirations of a new America as no other individual of his era. As public official, historian, philosopher, and plantation owner, he served his country for over five decades.

Thomas Jefferson quotes:
[The] Bank of the United States... is one of the most deadly hostility existing, against the principles and form of our Constitution... An institution like this, penetrating by its branches every part of the Union, acting by command and in phalanx, may, in a critical moment, upset the government. I deem no government safe which is under the vassalage of any self-constituted authorities, or any other authority than that of the nation, or its regular functionaries. What an obstruction could not this bank of the United States, with all its branch banks, be in time of war! It might dictate to us the peace we should accept, or withdraw its aids. Ought we then to give further growth to an institution so powerful, so hostile?
~~~
The Monopoly of monies by a World Bank is not security, no matter what the politicians and the World Leaders tell you. Creating a World Bank will not save the world economy. It will not save us from recession, or depression. It’s only function is suppression and oppression.
The World Bank and those who call for it, dress up like the good guys. Nope, they are really Freddy Krueger waiting with a chain saw roaring in hand. You remember the first Freddy movie... A Nightmare on Elm Street ~ released in 1984 ~
Hmmmm... You remember 1984, the novel by George Orwell... Society according to Big Brother...
Mere coincidence, or a Divine warning???
X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues...
Part 67 ~
Sylva fizzed inside like the bubbly fizz of the elixir. “What else is in here?” she asked, holding up the mostly empty glass. “Feel good nutrients, mostly magnesium.” Picking up his own glass, he swigged down several large swallows. “Good lord, I’m suddenly starving again. What kind of good nutrients? The Marijuana kind?” Sylva scooped up the rest of her potatoes, and knew that he observed her closely. “Marijuana?” he inquired, his voice speculative and reserved. “Hemp,” she tried, then aimed her fork at her carrots. “No, my Sylva.” He rumbled a knowing chuckle. “Concentrated B Vitamins from bee pollen.”
Zeke seized another biscuit, lathered it with the herb-flavored cream cheese, then devoured it as he watched her finish off her steak. The way her body reacted to the elixir, she must be starving for nutrients. Well, he would correct that soon enough. What sort of life had she been forced to live, that left her so deprived? He intended on finding out, once she trusted him enough. Reaching for another biscuit, he coated it with the cream cheese mixture, then placed it on her plate. He’d have to take care, not make love with her too often, too vigorously.
I read your interview at Tina's Blog. Very interesting and hot excerpt from the brothers four. I'm ready for that one when you're finished with it.
Hey Gem, it's finished in terms of being sent to Siren-BookStrand. How long it will take to get it back for edits. I don't know. They are super busy!
