Pluto Fights Back

In March 2009 the Illinois state senate voted to re-establish Pluto (seen center with its three moons) as a planet to honor Illinois native Clyde Tombaugh, who discovered the icy body on March 13, 1930.

The ruling inadvertently flared up an ongoing discussion over Pluto's status in the solar system.

It took about three minutes for members of the Illinois state senate to make the unanimous vote: "that March 13, 2009, be declared 'Pluto Day' in the State of Illinois in honor of the date its discovery was announced in 1930."

"The impression that it gives is that there's still a vigorous scientific debate going on, and there's just not."

NASA's Stern counters that plenty of scientists still want Pluto classified as a planet.

Let’s all raise a glass of cheer for Pluto’s pure persistent nerve.

Earlier today, my Big Weekend Kitties, the Kougar discovered the joys of essential Spearmint oil from the Get Mind Trading Co. ~ http://getmint.com ~
Moi has been using essential oils to help her lungs heal by deeply breathing them in... only one way the Kougar is using her essential oils.
My yummy goodness, the spearmint oil smells like Spring, moi meowing swears. And is much better than just chewing the gum.

Happy Courtship on another Earth

X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues...

Part 76 ~

Sylva had no clue why she sexy-sizzled inside, and felt flattered by his lascivious stare, and his words. But she did. The too-handsome bastard. “I assume you’ll have to lace me up.” She subtly jiggled her breasts, then drawled, “Cowboy.” Lazily, he slid his finger from her temple to her cheek, and along her jaw. “You just go refresh yourself, darlin’. Take your time. I’ll throw on my duds and be in to lace you up.” Slowly she flirtatiously smiled. “Am I going to be able to breathe afterwards?” Her shoulders had a mind of their own, softening and rolling toward him.

Zeke had a mental of image of himself pawing the ground over her, just like one of his stallions. He trailed his fingertip down the delicate skin of her neck, only lifting his finger once he touched the soft sweet spot between her throat and breastbone. He surely hoped all the cosmetics were to her likin’. He had no way knowing, since she’d arrived from another Earth. He’d purchased the finest available with his mother’s invaluable help. The beauty paint she’d been wearing had lessened, and he wouldn’t have cared if his Sylva left her face naked. But she might.

This is the beginning of Monday’s blog ~
An author and her pet...
By Lindsay Townsend
Pets are good for you and that's official. Owning a pet one can stroke and pet can help to reduce stress and lower blood pressure. The unswerving support and adoration of a faithful dog or house rabbit can sweeten those rejections and make the lonley life of the writer less lonely. An author can take inspiration from the haughty self-contained grace and self-belief of a cat to keep going and keep faith in her work. A writer can talk to her pets about character and read out dialogue, secure that she will be appreciated.

Sadly I have no pets. If I were to have a pet, I would like...

...a dragon.
