Hundred Watt Bulb Sky

Late night meow, Big Lovely Kittens, the Kougar had to do some shopping. It was a late morning trip, and the temps were warm, but the atmosphere had an odd out-of-kilter feeling. The entire vista of sky was even odder. It was as if moi stared into a hundred watt bulb, the sky was that glaringly bright. No, not the sun. The Kougar didn’t see a sun, only the hundred watt bulb sky.
Believe moi, Big Cats, this has never happened to moi before.
So, what’s going on?
On the return trip, some clouds had formed, one of them a giant smoky funnel of a shape... which looked out of place. Nope, not a tornado.
Later, the sky became completely overcast...
This certainly ain’t the good ole’ times of weather, back when the Kougar was a cub and of a much younger age. Sigh...

Part 69 ~

Sylva felt herself become giddy. God lord, he was gorgeous to look at, in a male hunk sort of way. For a pleasant moment, she wondered what it would be like to see him everyday, this way. Talk about eye candy worth living for. Still, a man’s looks couldn’t sustain a relationship. She sighed inwardly, but smiled as he placed the uncovered crystal dish in the center of their small table. Heavenly scents of coconut and citrus, plus an ingredient she didn’t recognize, wafted toward her. The thick slices of cake were a beautiful shade of peachy pink. “Looks fantastic.”

Zeke glowed from her words and hoped she liked the taste of their traditional cake. Seating himself, he answered her question. “Athletes generally train in the outdoors or in the arena of their particular sport.” Picking up a slice, he placed it before her lips. Closing her eyes, she inhaled, then bit into the piece slowly. “Mmmm.” The sound erupted as she chewed, savoring. Zeke took his own bite, as was part of the ceremony. “It tastes like an ambrosia of fruits,” she praised. He presented the cake, watching her take another delicate bite, and let her head tip back.
