Dark-toned Cover Art

Oh, Big Kittens, excitement! Today, the Kougar glimpsed the preliminary cover art for HER INSATIABLE DARK HEROES coming from Siren-BookStrand, the Menage’ Amour line... it’s darkly intense and fiery gorgeous. And the Kougar loves it, except for the title font. However, there is a problem. It seems that dark-toned cover art does not help sell erotic romance novels. Moi had no clue. Truthfully, the Kougar requested a charcoal or smoky background, rather than the black background of the cover art. Now, moi is thinking a pearl or dove gray background indicative of the ash-colored, weather wars-stricken city of Chrontropolis.
Hmmm... what do you think, my Big Beautiful Cats, would you purchase an erotic romance novel with a dark-toned cover? Just a curious Kougaress...

Happy Courtship on another Earth

X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues...

Part 74 ~

Sylva had asked because she really wanted to know. Was this society different, somehow? No, there was no guarantee of happiness, of love everlasting, in life. Still, it could be culturally different here. By her experience, so far, there were significant differences. Nervously, she twiddled her thumbs. “Passion and wooing lock hands, my Sylva.” He smiled grandly, as if he owned the world. She blushed. “Neat trick with the fork,” she offered. Amusement lit his eyes. “I used to drive Mother crazy. And my sister.” She couldn’t help smiling. “I believe it. Who clears the table? The husband or wife?”

Zeke realized as he heard her question, he didn’t give one last damn how she fulfilled her role as his wife. He cared about her being with him, though. By his side whenever it wasn’t too dangerous for her. He wanted her to learn about his family, and their ranch. He wanted her to feel pride in his accomplishments. And hell, he hoped by everything holy, she liked horses. His horses. He already had a little bay filly he’d selected as a gift for his bride. “Back at the ranch it’s every hand for themselves, or earn Mother’s scathing scowl.”

An author and her pet...
By Lindsay Townsend
Pets are good for you and that's official. Owning a pet one can stroke and pet can help to reduce stress and lower blood pressure. The unswerving support and adoration of a faithful dog or house rabbit can sweeten those rejections and make the lonley life of the writer less lonely. An author can take inspiration from the haughty self-contained grace and self-belief of a cat to keep going and keep faith in her work. A writer can talk to her pets about character and read out dialogue, secure that she will be appreciated.

Sadly I have no pets. If I were to have a pet, I would like...

...a dragon.
