To Snow or Not to Snow

From Coast-to-Coast am ~

Moisture in the air gave an eerie glow to the Moon and Venus as they appeared very close together after sunset in the western sky on the night of February 27, 2009. I took this photo in Phoenix, Arizona.

To snow or not to snow, that is the question tonight, my Big Wonderful Cats... will we get the white stuff on the tame prairie? Meow-complaint, it’s cold enough now. Yowl-however, the moisture is needed... so bring on the snow.
Let the Kougar ask a question to anyone who cares to answer... how do you feel about horse shifters? Moi has seen both positive and negative comments. Some love the idea and read erotic romance horse shifter novels. Other readers don’t care for the idea, and give the idea a big ‘ick’.
Some time during the mid 1990's moi had a story from a world of equine humans play in her mind like a movie. Everything about his world seemed real and logical within the context of that culture. This particular humanoid race weren’t shifters, they were naturally evolved equine humans complete with a glorious mane and tail, plus ears more in the shape of horse ears. While the stature of their bodies was more elongated, their bodies looked human, only their skin was more like hide, feeling like suede to the touch. However, the men definitely had stud equipment. Definitely...
The beautiful and fully naked heroine in moi’s personal mind movie had been captured and was in a huge hanging cage... a prisoner given to one of the stallion men...
Never-rumbling-mind the rest of the...er ...movie fantasy.
So, in the vastness of the galaxy, if there can be Klingons, and a race evolved from dinosaurs... why can’t there be an equine race? Or many?
The Kougar is certain other authors have written this already... even if she hasn’t read them... still... what do you think, if you have an opinion.

X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues...

Part 62 ~

Sylva couldn’t help it. She kept her gaze riveted on the bite of what looked like mashed potatoes, as he brought it to her mouth. “Potato?” she asked, then sniffed. Other subtle aromas enticed her. “Yes, darlin’. The fullest flavor variety we have growin’ in the immediate area. Plus a few herbs I prefer blended in.” Ignoring the questions flying around in her head, she wrapped her mouth around the tiny mound, hoping. Heavenly, the taste. Very slowly, she relished, her eyes closed. “Where is here?” she asked, and reached for the weird fork before she knew it. “Wichita Independent territory.”

Zeke unlocked the lid on his dinner, pleased she’d picked up her fork. Daintily, she speared one of the caramelized baby carrots and ate it. “Wichita, Kansas?” she asked, a slight frown of bewilderment on her face. “There’s a Kansas county,” he answered, knifing off a large piece of his steak. “Where I’m from Wichita is a city in the state of Kansas.” Chewing with complete satisfaction, Zeke watched her hungrily attack her potatoes, a delicate assault. “There were states before the revolution. Now we have territories, and counties within the territories.” He devoured another hunk of his thick steak.
