Longhorn and CANDY APPLE

Evening purrs, my sexy-witch Big Cats... warm on the tame prairie after a chilly night... it is Fall-beautiful... not so much the leaves, but just the way the land looks, more golden and resting... when the Kougaress journeyed down to her mailbox, she noticed the neighbor’s new half-gown calves, who were lazing about serenely... there were several different breeds and one of them looked like a longhorn because of the adorable horns and the shape of his body as well as his coat coloring.

Today, since the Kougar’s witch heroine is nicknamed, Kandy Apple, she became curious about the origins of the Candy Apple, the ones that are coated with red cinnamon candy... although, she loves Caramel Apples as well. Here’s some info:

According to the Newark Evening News 1964:

William W. Kolb invented the red candy apple. Kolb, a veteran Newark candy-maker, produced his first batch of candied apples in 1908. While experimenting in his candy shop with red cinnamon candy for the Christmas trade, he dipped some apples into the mixture and put them in the windows for display. He sold the whole first batch for 5 cents each and later sold thousands yearly. Soon candied apples were being sold along the Jersey Shore, at the circus and in candy shops across the country, according to the Newark News in 1948.

Since artificial flavoring is used in Red Hot candies, moi went in search of natural ingredients for making the candy coating. It finally dawned on her after finding a recipe that uses Cinnamon oil, the food grade oil found at pharmacies, that was her answer all along. She’d simply forgotten about it. Cinnamon oil is hot, whereas the powder is not as hot, not like ginger powder is hot.

As a grade school kid/cub, moi occasionally got to taste cinnamon oil on a toothpick... it was good! Yeah, way back when, there was some really good stuff that, now, is considered addicting. Kids were discouraged from using the oil after awhile... why? Yes, some kids probably used it too much. But, there was no addiction this big cub saw.

Heck, essential oil of cinnamon is in Thieves, an essential oil blend that kept folks protected during the Black Plague. The blend [cloves, cinnamon, lemon, eucalyptus, rosemary] from Young Living is very potent and you can certainly taste the cinnamon. At times, this Big Cat has put a couple of drops in her large bowl of hot chocolate... oh, does it taste yummier!!!

To be fair about the recent NY UFOs [in case it isn’t Project Bluebeam], here’s the other side...

From Coast to Coast am... UFO PREDICTION

Date: 10-15-10
Host: George Noory
Guests: Stan Fulham

In the first hour, ex-NORAD officer Stan Fulham talked about his prediction that a fleet of UFOs would hover over the Earth's major cities on October 13th. Fulham explained that he receives his insight from a "transcended spiritual group," which consists of "very old souls who have lived on many different planets and spiritual realms." According to him, the UFO visitation is because the Earth's environment has been polluted beyond the point of human salvation and, thus, the ETs must intervene to fix the situation. Unlike other planets, where the inhabitants were allowed to pollute their environment to the point of mass extinction, the Earth has the "greatest emotionally energy of any planet" in the universe and, therefore, was granted this special aid from off-world forces.

Fulham clarified his prediction's timetable with new information that he allegedly received three weeks ago. Originally, the entities planned to appear over a plethora of major Earth cities on October 13th, 2010. They had no intention of landing or communicating with the planet, instead opting merely to make their presence known in gradually increasing appearances. This would culminate with an outright address at the United Nations in 2014 and then they would commence cleaning the environment in 2015. However, Fulham said, the ETs grew wary of causing mass panic with their original 10/13/10 plan and decided to just appear over New York City on that date. The reasons given for the choice of NYC was that it is an international city, a media stronghold, and that New Yorkers are "a blase people" who would be nonplussed by the appearance of a UFO in the sky.

Qinling China! Has a UFO caused a whole town to disappear?
Thursday, 14 October 2010 13:50 | Written by Ufosleuth

There is a an ancient Pyramind in the Quinling region. Reports are coming out of China that an entire village/town may have disappeared after an UFO event there in the last few days. It is also being suggested that the Chinese Military has sealed off the area. Incredible as it seems the reports themselves appear genuine enough - but they are written in very broken English or Chinese and difficult to understand. Do they mean destroyed? Do they mean 'disappeared'? Just what is happening at Qinling?

Some of the blog posts and message board posts contain expressions which when translated read "I have heard, yesterday at 4 am, a village in the Qinling Mountains at the end, all disappeared overnight! ... ... There are a large number of troops sealed off the scene ... ..."

"October 10th at ten o’clock, Xianyang many people, and they saw in the sky several unknown luminous body in constant rotation, but can not find the light source, and everyone felt very strange.
Xianyang reporters into the sky to see the two circular rotating in constant light, white light has been given, and everyone said that this phenomenon has been going on for a very long time."

Short week and New Story
by Solara

I'm going to be brief. It's late on Friday night as I write this. I took a class from a local published author on making the undead believable. Got some good tid bits. Reaffirmed things I already knew. Looking forward to taking another class with this person in two weeks. Here's the opening on a new story I'm scribbling on the side. Working title is Wings of The Heart.

Russian yetis start a war with bears

Andrei Smirnov

Oct 11, 2010 17:15 Moscow Time

An expedition that was looking for the mysterious yeti in Mountain Shoria – a faraway region in the Siberian taiga - has recently returned home. The expedition’s members claim that the forest fires of this extremely hot summer made Altai yetis move to the Kuzbass region, where they have started a “war” with local bears.

X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues...

Part 657 ~

Sylva thoroughly brushed her hair and did what styling she could. Surprisingly, she didn’t look half bad, even with the lack makeup. There was a bloom on her cheeks, despite everything she’d been through. She even smiled at herself. Something she done less and less of in Chicago because of the bad times. Figuring it was time, Sylva straightened her shoulders and headed out the door. Zeke waited. A picture of cowboy handsome goodness, he leaned against the archway, and lazily smiled the moment she appeared. His whiskey-colored eyes glittered. Shoving off, he offered his arm with a gallant flourish.

Zeke knew the impact of his woman would be big as the prairie sky. Still, he hadn’t been prepared for the way his heart thundered a beat, for the way he lunged like a stallion inside. She smiled in answer to his smile. The confidence he witnessed in her gaze made him proud of her, and glad down to his soul she’d grown through their strange adventures together. “Darlin’ mine,” he crowed like a rooster and purred like a tomcat, as she looped her arm around his. “Cowboy mine.” Her soft voice sang and sparkled for him. Just for him.

Oh yum...I love the taste of cinnamon. Cinnamon toast, red hots, Cinnamon rolls...etc, etc, but my favorite is Cinnamon Applesauce. Heaven in a dish! You can add it to just about any meal and it fits right in. :)

Serena, cinnamon is one of my faves! I like it in my hot chocolate. I'd first heard about doing that a long time ago because of how 'hot chocolate' is made in Mexico.
Oh! Nothing better than good Cinnamon Rolls!!!
I've been adding cinnamon to my apple dishes, too.
Ever tried a cinnamon stick in hot apple cider?
