Pulling in the reins... and Pookas

Nighttime purrs, luscious and lollipop-lickable Kittens... rainy, cloudy on the tame prairie today... yep and soft rumbling, the Kougaress is pulling in the reins and getting more writing done... not so much promo stuff... besides, the yen is to be in her writerly cave, right now.

Remember Harvey, the huge white ‘invisible’ rabbit in the movie, Harvey? Being an oldie goldie, yes, moi well remembers Harvey because he made quite a fanciful impression. Well, the subject of Pookas came up... and, it turns out, Harvey is a Pooka... although, more often, it’s an odd black horse from the fae realm with the ways of a trickster, especially when it comes to those who are inebriated. Of course, if you have tendency to end up in ditches, drunk on your ass, then passed out... why not blame it on a Pooka?

Anyhoo... boo! Moi did an internet search and found a lovely site ~ bellaterreno.com/art/default.aspx ~ devoted to myth. But, who knew looking up info on Pookas would lead to this saying, found at the bottom of the page?

This week the sword of truth will strike like lightning several times. This will occur globally as well as on a personal level. The human community is entering a time when not only will the days jet by, but an entirely ‘new awareness’ arrives.

To bring about this ascendency of humanity’s soul, the truth must be faced and dealt with. This will be particularly noticeable in your relationships and in all of your interactions with others. Wherever ‘the truth’ shows up, greet it as a friend. Getting through the situation may be difficult, however love is on your side at this time. More than ever before, love will shine a path for you.

Sylva certainly couldn’t resist Marina’s warm enthusiastic hug, and returned it with her own. Once they’d separated, Marina held her hand between both of hers. “I’ll bet yer hungrier than a bear after winter.” Sylva couldn’t help but flash back to the bear-man, Bear Feather, as he’d eaten berries. She blinked, then nodded and smiled. “Course, you’re probably darn worn out,” Marina continued on. “Don’t worry, we’ll settle down to some vittles, then let you and my dear brother get some shut eye.” Swinging beside her, Marina wrapped her arm around Sylva’s shoulders, and guided her toward the hangar’s exit.

Zeke kept his eye on Sylva and his sis as he and Grant trailed after them. “When you get a hankerin’ to talk let me know just what the hell happened at the Center.” Grant spoke in his easy way, but underlying his tone was the need to know. Zeke knew it was for all the right reasons. Grant meant to protect his wife, the ranch and all those he loved. And he wanted information. “Strange as Halloween don’t cover it,” Zeke offered. “I’m dang for certain dad will have a family confab, once he gets his thoughts sorted out.”
