The Heliosphere, it's a-changing...

After midnight meows, my weekend adorably gamboling Felines... yowsa, what a rush of a day... though, the Kougaress finally conked out for a few hours of snooze time... yep, it’s here, the official thinning of the veil between our world and the spooktacular world of Samhain and Halloween... did you know there’s a small squid that can turn itself inside out and make itself look like a spooky pumpkin with red eyes... hmmmm, moi just heard that on Coast to Coast am.
~~~
To follow up on the MESSINESS theme of yesterday... did you know that playing in the dirt is good for you, and especially for kids because the microbes helps build the immune system and makes for healthy adults... think about those folks who garden... often they seem more vibrant with health... while this Big Cat is not a big dirt fan, she does love working in the soil when she’s planting... just something about it... and think about all those poor kids who rarely get outside these days. ~shakes kitty head~
Yep, the Kougar was innocently doing author biz stuff... suddenly, there it was!!! 2:12 am... !!! Wow, if only she could take this to Vegas and win at the tables... yeah, mews-right.
HOWEVER... The Heliosphere, it’s a-changing... this is one of the breaking science news stories...
Knot in Mystery Ribbon at Solar System's Edge Unravels
By SPACE.com Staff
The unraveling of a knot in a mysterious energy ribbon shows that the edge of our solar system is a much more dynamic place than previously thought, according to new research.
NASA's Interstellar Boundary Explorer spacecraft has revealed quickly changing conditions near the heliosphere, a protective bubble that shields our solar system from powerful, damaging cosmic rays. The observations, which include the loosening of a knot in a strange energy ribbon, could help scientists better design long-range space missions, researchers said.
To further clarify, this is what moi heard from expert, Mitch Battros ~ earthchangesmedia.com ~ [to paraphrase] the heliosphere is like the magnetic field of Earth and is a bubble that extends around the solar system. Currently, in this cycle, the magnetic field is weakening and more charged particles are penetrating, thus reaching Earth. The heliosphere is also weakening, which means more cosmic particles are seeping through and there is what’s called magnetic flux. The consequence is more and more extreme weather, and a major magnetic shift could occur.
Also, connected to the changing heliosphere, the jet stream is currently in reverse push. The jet stream affects the ocean currents, and everything is tied to the magnetic field, which is also tied to the heliosphere. With the shifting jet stream, there are shifting ocean currents. And, of course, this directly affects the weather patterns. As well, shifts are taking place inside the earth’s core.
So, the upshot is more bumpy weather rides, and a cooling trend in temperatures. Volcano activity is also on the rise, with 21 volcanoes in Indonesia that could erupt anytime. This is on the heels of a 7.2 earthquake in Indonesia.
Since it's Banned Book Week, I thought I would post the top twenty books on the ALA, American Library Associations list of the top 100 novels of the 20th century. It's an interesting list and if you follow the link above, it also offers the reasoning's behind why a book has been banned or challenged.
Hi K, wow, I just love learning more about you.
"with every submission as I hit that send button I say a little prayer
– “Go with God, thy will be done.”"
I think something similar when I submit and my books are pubbed.
Authors are often divine messenger in their own right... whether they
know it, or not.
From Astrology.com ~
October kicks off with two powerful Mercury oppositions -- to Jupiter on October 1 and to Uranus on October 2, and remains very hyperactive even by its restless standards in the first five days of October. Mercury is in its favorite sign, Virgo at the moment, so the Mercury power is potent!
* Mercury opposes retrograde Jupiter on October 1
* Mercury opposes Uranus on October 2
* Mercury enters Libra on October 3
* Mercury square Pluto on October 3 - 4
* Mercury conjunct Saturn on October 8
Getting our act together means having a plan which requires that we really understand what we want to be doing. Our biggest helper in all of this is Mercury, the planet not only of communication but also how we think and process information. It brings ingenuity, a quirky take on stalemate dilemmas that can show you the way through.
The Mercury - Jupiter in Pisces opposition on October 1 will bring confidence and a positively prophetic insight into what comes next. Although, you may let your enthusiasm run away with you, this is really a time to trust your hunches. Mercury opposes Uranus the next day, which has the power to bring insights and revelations that are bolts from the blue. Real inspirations can emerge out of left field to show you new solutions to old problems. You may not be patient and you may not want to listen to companions who drone on endlessly but you will hit the bull's-eye!
Then Mercury glides smoothly into diplomatic Libra on October 3 to stay there until the 20th of the month. If you need the support of close partners this is the time to lay your cards on the table. However, be prepared to negotiate. A sticky square to Pluto on October 5 means intense discussions will follow. Don't dig in your heels or be too stubborn. A little give, a little take means you'll get your plans agreed more quickly with minimum of fuss. Be realistic, toss idle dreams to one side and get down to brass tacks.
X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues...
Part 642 ~
Sylva sensed her Zeke’s deep concern. She knotted their hands, then stretched upward enough to press a kiss on his neck. “I’m glad we’re going home to the ranch,” she whispered. Angling toward her, her cowboy husband caught her lips with a small tender kiss. “I can’t wait for some of mom’s good cookin’. Git your taste buds ready, dalrin’. Mom usually piles up the table whenever dad returns after a time away.” Sylva wriggled with anticipation. “Nothing better than home cooking. Except lots of sleep time. And...” she crooned suggestively. “Some serious rollin’ time between the sheets,” Zeke rasped.
Zeke kept his gaze immersed in his woman’s gaze for long, long moments. At his dad’s cleared throat, he looked up. “Pardon, son. Need you to take a look up front. Pardon, Sylva. He shouldn’t be gone but a few minutes.” Gaining his feet, Zeke pivoted around and gave his woman a big kiss. “Right back, darlin’ mine.” She nodded, and smiled, but he caught the flicker of worry in her eyes. They’d already been through hellacious adventures. As he followed his dad, Zeke promised himself that somehow he would make dang certain they had husband and wife time together.
Oh, I would love to have a huge flower garden that darling diva and I can dig and play in, unfortunately, a green thumb in not in my bag of tricks! ;)
Serena, I didn't think I could grow much of anything either when I decided to try a few flowers for summer. Course, it's not me growing it, but the Divine... but, you might consider starting with something simple like marigolds in a pot.
