Fireworks at The Romance Studio & Romance Writers Behaving Badly

From Coast to Coast am ~ Partial Lunar Eclipse

The moon passed through a portion of the Earth’s shadow on the morning of June 26th, 2010 and was visible across the western United States. In this photo, the eclipse was at its maximum, and 54% on the moon was in shadow. The shot was taken from Boise, Idaho looking west towards the Owyhee Mountains at sunrise.

Evening purrs, darling summer-strolling Felines... pinch the Kougaress, it’s been another mild lovely day on the tame prairie, though, there are some serious allergens roaming about that got moi this morning... grrrrrr!

Currently, the Kougar is paw-penning furiously to get her two FIREWORKS blogs ready for Thursday, July 1. Oh, yowsa maowsa, one more instance where she bit off more than she can chew. However, here’s the beginning ~

ROMANCE WRITERS BEHAVING BADLY ~

Thursday Thirteen ~ Fireworks in My Erotic Romance

Fireworks: Grace Kelly and Cary Grant in Alfred Hitchcock’s 1955 "To Catch a Thief"

As a teenager emerging into womanhood, the movie, To Catch a Thief, made a major impact on me, even though, at the time, I watched it on the small screen since it was a late night TV movie.

AND! Here’s the beginning of a new scene the Kougar is writing for this blog.

THE ROMANCE STUDIO ~

To Capture a Cat Burglar

The instant Sherissy entered the hotel’s sky lounge, Dolan set his drink down. Surreptitiously, he raked his gaze over the gorgeous woman who had him captured, lock, stock and hard-as-a-rock. The dark ironic joke on him, though, he was supposed to capture her. That is, if he wanted to collect the insanely large private bounty on her.

THE MONTH OF JULY from Astrology.com

As we swing into the month of July and officially enter the second half of this year, the Cancer Sun will keep things on an emotional level rather than a practical one for all of us - a time of feeling and connecting.

On July 5, Uranus turns retrograde - as it always does at this time of the year. When Uranus is retrograde, expect the unexpected. Wonderful and startling surprises are very possible. This retrograde may set your wild side free, or it could make a notoriously outgoing person uncharacteristically shy.

The main challenge this month will be around the total Solar Eclipse on July 11. This will tend to make the cosmic energies even more Cancerian since it brings together the Sun and the Moon into a particularly potent New Moon.

Solar Eclipses and New Moons signal the beginning of new cycles in life. This is the time to act and make decisions that we may have been hesitant about before -- not just during the eclipse period - but for the immediate future, since the influence of eclipses can last up to six months. Now is the time to make changes in those aspects of our lives that we may be dissatisfied with. Any change -- however small it may be -- will ultimately prove beneficial for us.

On and after July 10, when Venus joins Mars in earthy Virgo, we may all find ourselves much more enthusiastic, with a greater sense of contentment and may feel more of a sense of accomplishment even in every day chores.

However, the planetary activity really racks up from July 21 when Saturn moves into Libra to stay firmly in place till late 2012. This will be a time for goodwill and greater understanding and cooperation, although it may create additional work and increase commitments.

The Sun moves into fiery, fun loving Leo on July 22 for four weeks and with it comes more glitter and glitz, as well as a yen to live in the five-star track!

Jupiter turns retrograde in Aries on July 23, and it may seem that our forward progress is impeded and things that seemed for sure suddenly come to a full stop. However, Jupiter retrograde periods give us the opportunity to find inner wisdom and expand internal knowledge. Jupiter may also push common sense to one side as it squares Pluto on July 25. Beware of over confidence! Jupiter and Pluto aspects run on a theme of 'might makes right' so you may think you can break a few rules, even a law or two and get away with it. But be careful -- it sometimes bounces back!

The Full Moon in Aquarius on July 26 is enhanced by a lucky trine between the Sun and Jupiter. However, it may feel like a roller coaster ride around July 27, when Saturn in Libra opposes Uranus also in Aries. And just to make things more complicated, Mars moves into Libra to aspect both Uranus and Saturn in the final two days of the month. This aspect brings about accident prone times and an environment that is certainly argumentative, and not conducive to calm discussions or agreements. Mars-Uranus combinations can be explosive or at least disruptive. Mars-Saturn aspects tend to be impatient, teeth gritting and slightly volcanic since you'll only sit on your temper for so long. The best way to utilize these tricky planetary energies constructively is to keep your head down and plow ahead with difficult tasks requiring focus and perseverance.

Now ~ FIRST! just for the big cool cats ~ from the Flash Cat...

Happy Courtship on another Earth

X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues...

Part 549 ~

Sylva caressed her man’s cowboy-virile chest while she panted in breaths. “Enough to give you the rope and let you hogtie me, darlin’ mine.” Feeling wild-hot inside, Sylva leaped at her chance. “Is that so?” She raised her brows in a challenge. After stroking his fingers into her hair untangling the long strands, Zeke quirked a grin. “Guess, I’m safe from your ‘manhandling’ for now. No rope.” Sylva figured she’d lasso her husband with her words. “Shouldn’t that be ‘womanhandling’? Oh, and since I don’t know how to sail a loop like you. Yeah, I guess you are safe. For now.”

Zeke watched his little adorable wife smile wickedly, and figured he’d gotten himself into some husbandly trouble. In their future together. “Maybe, I better train you how to sail a loop properly, so all my studly parts don’t get hogtied in the wrong ways.” His woman smiled like a naughty minx, this time. “In the wrong ways?” She paused on purpose. “And, what would be the wrong way to rope your studly parts, cowboy mine?” Zeke brushed his thumbpad over her lush lips. “Well, rope burn is never good on a man’s breeding stock. Womanhandling, I surely like that term.”

BIG CATS, BEWARE OF *DEMONIZATION*

No, this isn’t about the demons in fantasy romance novels, darlings KitKats. Darn it. Claw it!

Straight fang up ~ Congressman Ron Paul and many folks who live and breathe freedom are being demonized by the CORPORATE MEDIA, and will be demonized over and over again, ad nauseam, by those in the so-called mainstream media and by their enemies in the government.

Why? Freedom and enlightenment are WINNING the battle between before the force of darkness and the force of light. Thus, the dark side is launching a brutal and savage attack aimed at convincing folks the good guys and gals are really the bad guys and gals.

Isn't summer supposed to be lazy days?

Savanna Kougar said...

Serena, oh wouldn't it? I was lamenting to mom about that. There's so much to get done and not nearly enough time to do it.

Hey, Jolie... yeah, don't I wish? Though, summertime on the tame prairie does have a bit of lazy in it.
