Night yowls, my phenomenal and phantasm-lovely Big Cats... it was a lovely dry-air day on the tame prairie... the butterflies were flitting and frisking about... the tomato plantlies are still growing... very early this morning the coyotes howled nearby, so close it felt stomach-turning eery and the Kougaress wondered if Coyote Spirit had a message... message, or not, the tricksters in life are large and trying to stay in charge... wouldn’t it be nice to ‘trick’ them out of power? Turn the trickster tables... ROARS and claws and ripping fangs!!!

Meows of every blessing to all those devastated by the tornadoes in the upper Midwest. It’s going to be a bumpy stormy rest of the year. Keep one ear tuned, darling KitKats.

No Flash-ing today, but the Kougar has made some good progress on Kandy Apple for Halloween these past few days... here’s an action-magic ‘unedited’ snippet ~

Aching to charge inside, they mind-focused on their witch, gazing within the warehouse to know how they should help her.

The thirteen sorceresses fired their wands from every direction. Flame bolts shot from Kandace’s fingertips intercepting the hail of incoming energy bullets. Meant to stun and weaken her into submission, the constant barrage appeared unending.

Kandace stood beside the shipping crate where her sister had been trapped. With her force nearly exhausted, she leaned down, flattening her palm on the bubble shield she’d conjured to protect her sister. Still shooting flame from one hand, she created an escape portal that tunneled beyond the warehouse’s nearest wall.

“Run!” she yelled. “Merri, run!”

Her sister hesitated. As one, Zol and Zin yanked Merri through the portal using their power. Sailing her through the ethers, they set her down beside her car, now being searched by a police woman.

BIG CAT Commentary... sadly, it appears the whole review thing on Amazon has merely become a cutthroat game among some romance authors... while the same infantile stupidity may be occurring in the other genres as well, moi doesn’t know anything about that, since she could care less and doesn’t give one rat’s claw, anyway... however, she *does care* that her author friends are being hurt by this petty behavior... hopefully, most readers remain wise enough to choose those books they really wish to read.

DID YOU KNOW there are proposed taxes on everything *internet*, including Kindle, laptops, and ipods, even on your blog. These taxes are to be used as corporate WELFARE for the so-called MAINSTREAM MEDIA, or in other words you don’t get to choose to subscribe to a dead-tree newspaper because of content... no, you’ll be taxed to pay for their survival, whether you want them to survive, or not... whether you want to read their content, or not. Gee, whatever happened to good ole free enterprise?

Sylva stilled inside, her mind blown wide apart, so it felt. “There could be a whole network of Earths... I don’t know for certain. I haven’t seen it psychically. Yet,” she paused, attempting to gather her thoughts, the insubstantial ones floating just out of her reach. Meanwhile, she heard the quick strength of her cowboy’s breaths. “I wouldn’t put it past those evil varmints. Sure enough, the Secret Circle will be usin’ every means possible to gain power. I was on my way to...” A low insistent tone interrupted. “It’s dad,” Zeke explained. “Must be important, darlin’ mine. I’ll be back.”

Zeke gentled them apart. Leaning over, he planted a kiss on her sweet lips. “I was on my way to talk about the Silver Sun Prophecy with dad. Looks like it might have been faked. Or, they tried to fake it.” Rising reluctantly, he pivoted toward his garments and pulled them on quick. “I’ll be okay,” she said, when he glanced back at his woman. ”Try to get some sleep, Sylva. If I’m going be gone long, I’ll come get you.” She nodded again, then rested her head on the pillow. “Weather manipulation,” she offered. “What better way to control people?”
