Confessions of a Not-Fashionista

Jean Shrimpton, one of the Kougaress’s fave models in her teenage years.

Sunny hot purrs, my oh-so cute KitKats... are you ‘feeling’ life more and more? That is, whatever is happening around you ~ can you FEEL it more vividly? It feels like to this Big Cat that there’s been a shift in awareness, or consciousness on beloved Mother Earth. It may be what you sensed before, like a friend’s emotions, will be sharply felt or known more pouncing-quickly... there could be a deeper experiential level in the human psyche and human consciousness now.
Confessions of a Not-Fashionista... at one time, the Kougaress was quite the fashion lover and she created many *at the time* incredible super-extravaganza outfits... also, some sexy-daring garments she loved wearing, but drew the stick-in-the-mud censure of some.

Nowadays, due to circumstances so beyond her control it could be considered tragic, this Big Cat girl no longer has the means or the life zest to continue her once flamboyant fashionable ways. Still, by today’s standards, moi would *not* have been considered a fashionista. Why? Brand names, the latest must-haves, the silly exorbitant cost... well, who meow cares about living that kind of over-shallow lifestyle... NOT this Kitty Strutting girl. She has no taste for it. The stench of rotten fish surrounds it.

There’s over the top fashions ~ CHER ~, then there’s over the top fashions ~ KATE MOSS STYLE ~ meaning the good, the bad, the beautiful, the ugly... while some of the current fashion trends are appealing and alluring to moi, a lot of the trends are just plain ridiculous and gawdawful not-glamorous UGLY! And, maows! This means what the celebs are wearing... at least, what the Kougaress glimpses doing internet searches and standing in the grocery line... ugh! Rip and shred. What are they thinking? Oh, right, vacuous doesn’t include actual thought, does it?

In a way, this has always been true throughout most of known human history. However, fashion extremes as ‘ over excess’ always exacts a huge price.. It begs to be stupid, so stupid it’s supposed to be the IN thing, the ULTRA-COOL thing. For an apt illustration, just take a look at Linda Banche’s blog about Macaroni ~ Macaroni! And I Don't Mean Pasta by Linda Banche~\asta.html ~

Tail-flicking well, as often happens, a little discussion broke out on Lindsay Townsend’s chat loop about what else? Men and fashion. Here’s how it went ~

In, Lindsay wrote: great article, Linda! In some ways I think it's a shame men in the west don't get to peacock more in their dress, but maybe not with THOSE wigs! (Would you fancy writing about a bloke who dressed that way?)
Best lindsay

The Kougaress wrote: To comment further, I love men in casual wear. However, I also love them in formal wear. Heck, I absolutely loved them wearing velvet and satin Nehru jackets, plus all that delicious suede with the fringe... talk about peacock handsomeness.

Then, Lindsay wrote: Savanna, I love male tribal gear and headdresses. And greatcoats. And the bass singer Ruggerio Raimondi sang the role of Scarpia in a grey frockcoat in the morning and a fancy embroidered gold braid number in the evening. Delicious!

The Kougaress replied: Absolutely delicious! ~ Savanna

So, Beautiful Big Cats... what is your ‘fashion passion’ attire for men? What turns your meow into a seductive purr?

Oh! And for more seductive purring... the Kougar got her e-paperwork done and sent to MojoCastle Press for antho short story ~ THE TIGER’S MASQUERADE ~ Here’s the blurbie she came up with, for now. Improvements are probably needed.

Blurb ~

Stacy wasn’t looking for a tiger-man to erotically and exotically fill her tank, then steal her heart. That is, until the Halloween ‘Call of the Wild Masquerade’ ball. But, what kind of tiger does she have by the tail?

Zyrru wasn’t looking for a human woman to un-tame his fiercest passions, and alter his royal life forever. After all, he’s only vacationing on Earth, and is almost engaged to The Princess. But, her rosefire scent is irresistible.

Authoress news and mews ~

Wahooo... yippee... saddle up... and *knock on wood*... the Kougar is editing the last chapters of BRANDED BY THE TEXANS.

Red Hot's First Review and A New Contest At My Blog

Hey Everyone! It's summer time and the heat is on! Hope your week went well and you've got time to read a good book. Maybe one by me or my blog mates. Enjoy Red Hot's first review posted below.

Now ~ FIRST! just for the big cool cats ~ from the Flash Cat...

Happy Courtship on another Earth

X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues...

Part 545 ~

Sylva burned, hot as mid-summer Chicago during a heat wave. “Zeke.” Suddenly feverish with need, she stroked his shoulders. “Please.” Nipping his lower lip, she kissed him hard, then assaulted his mouth with more fiery kisses. “Can you?” she asked, once they paused. “Do you need to return now?” Their harsh fast breaths seemed to fill the room. Unable to wait for his answer, Sylva fervently roved her hands over her cowboy and attacked his lips again with kisses that were sumptuous, fierce. Tearing their mouths apart, Zeke launched upwards. In record time, he shoved his pants down, and off.

Zeke leapt into the smoldering flames deep in her eyes. He pounced above her feeling carnally ferocious as a mountain lion. As she lay supine beneath him, he dipped his head and trapped her mouth, wild as any beast for his mate. Remaining on his fists, he punished her lips with his passion. Both of them turned primal, their kisses a raw and powerful tangling of the mouths, then their tongues. “God, Sylva.” His growled words came from his primitive side. They stared at each other then, but more, their gazes mated, and wanted for several moments. “Zeke, do it.”

Oh the brand name conundrum. We're hearing that song right now with DD. "All my friends shop at ***" "I want clothes from ***"
She'll also get excited over clothes from the thrift store and expresses an interest in learning to sew from her aunt, so I'm a little easier going on the brand name wants, but personally, I love the unique finds at thrift store myself!

Yay, last chap of editing on Branded! Woot!

Serena, I can so understand the pressure in today's society. I do hope DD will learn to sew because then she can be as creative as she wants. I used to dream up all sorts of wonderful designs and made a lot of them.
Plus, if you have a natural talent, it's a great way to let the artist inside shine.

Yeah, I've been so writer-busy today, I haven't gotten back to editing. But, I hope to, soon.

Good luck with your tiger tale, Savanna! Sounds great! I love tigers and will certainly be getting this story.

Scary about the pentagon nabbing the web. I don't want things switched off.

There's a big grow your own, back to the land happening in the uk, too. Long may it flourish!
Love the massage flash - such a twist!

Lindsay, we'll see how it goes, but I'm excited to see how this Halloween Antho goes with MojoCastle.

You and me, and a whole bunch of folks don't want IT turned off. I know lots of good people are resisting... but, who knows?
I'm hoping there's a subweb... course, there's always danger on it, as well.

Good to hear about others getting back to the land!
