Werewolf Friday Five

From Linda Godfrey ~ the dogman ~

Oh, my Big Kittens, the sun as it set today was a glorious ball of red-pink flame... one of those absolutely amazing colors the Kougaress relishes, but rarely sees. The sunset, itself was sweet, a pastel wash of color... but Mr. Sol, omygoodness, did he show himself off!

No, not the Kougar’s Werewolf Friday Five... this one belongs to shapeshifter author, Serena Shay, over at SHAPESHIFTER SEDUCTIONS ~ and is it ever just darn fun and quirky fab... here’s the beginning...

Five Reasons NOT to Dine With A Werewolf...

Good Friday Morning, Friends...

One more day and it's the weekend again! So I thought we'd do a little Friday Five, just for fun. Below is my list of five reasons NOT to dine with a werewolf...

~~~
Meow, yes, it’s probably Saturday as you’re perusing this bloggie... yowls, have a delicious-cream weekend, my Big Beautiful Cats... Still, the Kougar couldn’t resist letting all the cool cats know about a good Friday thing.
Authoress news and mews ~
Here is a public response from Harlequin about Harlequin Horizon ~
Harlequin was very surprised and dismayed to receive notice late yesterday that the RWA has decided that Harlequin is no longer eligible for RWA-provided conference resources. We were even more surprised to discover that the RWA sent a notice to its membership announcing this decision, before allowing Harlequin to respond or engage in a discussion about it with the RWA board. Harlequin has been a significant supporter of the RWA for many years in several ways, including:
• financial sponsorships at the annual conference
• sending editors to the national and regional chapter conferences throughout the year to meet with and advise aspiring authors and participate in panel discussions on writing
• celebrating our authors, most of whom are RWA members, annually with the largest publisher party at the conference.
It is disappointing that the RWA has not recognized that publishing models have and will continue to change. As a leading publisher of women's fiction in a rapidly changing environment, Harlequin's intention is to provide authors access to all publishing opportunities, traditional or otherwise.
Most importantly, however, we have heard the concerns that you, our authors, have expressed regarding the potential confusion between this venture and our traditional business. As such, we are changing the name of the self-publishing company from Harlequin Horizons to a designation that will not refer to Harlequin in any way. We will initiate this process immediately. We hope this allays the fears many of you have communicated to us.
We are committed to connecting with our authors and aspiring authors in a significant way and encourage you to continue to share your thoughts with us.
Sincerely
Donna Hayes
The Kougar’s Grrrrr.... this may be somewhat helpful to Harlequin’s contracted authors and may offer more clarity for aspiring authors... however, as one author put, to paraphrase... you can call a pile of manure a rose, but it’s still a manure.
Correction ~ on the October 25, 2009 blog by the Kougar, Flash of the Graveyard Dagger ~ an error was made about the pic ~ the artist is Ashley Wood (from his book "Popbot"), not Jeremiah Wishon, who contacted moi about the mistake.
X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues...
Part 328 ~
Sylva let herself dive into Zeke’s gaze. She surrendered to the deep fires of conviction she witnessed. At least, for now. For now she could believe. It was all there in depths of eyes, in his soul. “You belong to me as my beloved wife. Nothing will ever change that, Sylva. The passion between us has just begun. One day, one week, one month at a time, we’ll grow together and learn more about our desire for each other as husband and wife.” Her cowboy softly grazed her cheek with his thumb pad and Sylva melted, part of her unfroze.
Zeke wandered in the sparkling azure blue that was his Sylva’s eyes. She wanted to believe his words. Her trust for him had already come a long way since he’d roped her. Still, he realized, the journey would be a long one in gaining his woman’s full trust. As his father always said, ‘A man who acts trustworthy becomes trustworthy to those who matter in his life’. Slowly, gently, he pressed a kiss on her lips. “How about snuggling up with me, darlin’? Til our stomachs rumble for breakfast?” She gave a delicate nod. ”You do feel damn good, cowboy.”
PLEASE! Darling KitKats, if you have any thought about taking the flu shot/swine flu shot, please! Read the insert first, not just the info sheet.
ALSO! *Private* contracts with the vaccine suppliers require that any deaths or injuries not be reported. Plus, all the vaccine companies are immune from being sued for injuries and death due to their vaccines.
Yes, please! Let the privileged have the Kougar’s designated flu shot.
