BEST OF BREED Released...

Greetings, my beauteous KitKats, beat a fast path to this werewolf romance, the second release by ATIV finalist, Pat Cunningham ~ the excerpt is outstanding and this story is a sure winner, just like the heroine.

AVAILABLE: Tuesday, February 2nd ~ http://bookstrand.com/authors/patcunningham ~

BEST OF BREED by Pat Cunningham

BLURB ~

It started out as a joke: a werewolf entering a dog show. Adele Chase has always believed herself ugly, with her doggish wolf form and non-shifter blue eyes. But in the show ring she’s discovered a place where she can be beautiful.

Now, poised on the brink of her biggest win, nothing can deter her-–not even the presence of Bowie, the notorious werewolf hunter. He’s stalking the show in search of a werewolf and found what he thinks is a woman. Adele realizes he could be her destined mate–-or, if he uncovers her secret, her death.

With Best in Show within her reach, she plays a dangerous game with a man who might either love her or kill her…with neither aware of the enemy who’s out to destroy them both.

DO NOT READ THE FOLLOWING, IF CONTROVERSY IS SOMETHING YOU CAN’T STOMACH ~

No, the Kougaress did not start out to write this kind of bloggie, hence the warning above.

Oh, my beloved Kittens, yes, the world is becoming an ever-stranger place... at least, by the Kougaress’s eye and experiences... the ever-increasing levels of insane ways of behaving and corruption are fast taking over as the norm... perhaps, that’s one reason the Kougar pens her romance sizzle stories to create, then live in a world that makes ultimate sense, despite all the sci fi/fantasy paranormal elements.
Before moi awakened today, she was having a dream about a former man in her life... the relationship was long ago, yet one that went to the core of this Big Cat girl, at the time... meows-however, what she learned from this dream! No more relationships like that!!! Ever again! Why? To put it blatantly, the male sex of today, are often not manly. They aren’t real men, so to speak. Too often, they’re boys stunted by many unfortunate dynamics in our current world... and, all they are searching for is a mommie, or a woman who will take care of them... if not physically, in some manner of emotional way that is unhealthy. At it’s core, it’s all about you giving to them, not them giving to you in any way that truly matters. Not as a real man would give to a woman, the woman he loved and cherished.
The brutal truth... yes, the male sex has been emasculated for the most part. No, not every individual man. If you have *real man* you are truly, truly blessed!!!
When moi says ‘emasculated’ she *does not* mean by women. Nope. Sadly, it’s been accomplished decade after decade, by chemical and psychological design. The design of those who live in the shadows and plot the current horrors taking place in our world, on our beloved Mother Earth.
Because, as an example ~ no one in their right mind would ever create a company like Monsanto. The sheer and ongoing evil of this particular company is beyond mind-boggling. Who in their right mind would create plants that couldn’t re-seed themselves, then force people to purchase them or starve or go into bankruptcy? By the use of corrupt laws and corrupt officials and the ‘might makes right’ approach, Monsanto gets its way in our world. And, yep, they’ve been responsible for the death of folks... lots in the undeveloped countries. They are, in effect, mass murderers.
Who in their right mind would buy up the good seeds to keep them away from folks all over the world who are starving, or simply those of us who want to plant organic gardens, those of us who want to eat the foods provided by Mother Nature?
Who in their right mind would create products and crops that poison the Earth on such a massive scale most people believe you’re lying to them if you dare say anything about it. Who in their right mind would create crops that poison the honeybees, threatening them with extinction?
Who, in their right mind, would ever dream up Monsanto?
Yeah, an author like Ian Fleming, who needs the most terrible villain possible for James Bond to defeat...
With food, good food becoming more and more scarce each day, who is a bigger arch villain in our world today, than Monsanto?
Remember, even their employees refused to eat the GMO foods in the cafeteria that Monsanto created, also known as Frankenfoods. Yet, Monsanto expects all of us to eat that crap, the very crap that maimed and killed rats, and is maiming and killing folks all over the world.
Yeah, whoever would create Monsanto, except by design, their evil in-the-shadows design?

X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues...

Part 401 ~

Sylva finally roused herself enough to straighten in the chair. Never had she wanted to stalk a man like she did her cowboy husband... stalk him and seduce him, or tackle him if she had to... and jump his bones, then plunge herself on his bone. Wave after wave of desire fire-stormed through her flesh. “Damn,” she muttered. Able to rise several minutes later, Sylva headed for their bedroom, figuring Zeke could find her there. While she was at it, maybe she’d look in her dressing room for any kind of seductive lingerie there might be. That is... Marina’s voice interrupted.

Zeke carefully kept his stud condition hidden as he thumbed on the view button, so he and Marina could continue speaking face to face. “There’s already been an emergency meeting called over the silver sun.” Marina’s expression turned to utter seriousness. “Dad was contacted and you were specifically mentioned. Yep,” she added, “even though you’re on a honeymoon.” Zeke growled, softly for the sake of his sister.”My honeymoon. Except for all the hellacious interruptions, so far, my ‘honeymoon’ is going ‘specially well.” Zeke briefly growled again. Not surprisingly, his loins complained with all the ferocity of a charging bull.

HOLIDAY FLASH IN FIVE HUNDRED...

Santa Baby, Waitin’ Just for You...

Twelve Drummers Drumming...

Part Seventeen ~

Who was this man...this shapeshifter...this alien from the stars? The questions struggled against the staggering blissful drunk her mind had become.
“Dillon.” She heard her voice reach out to him, even though he could tell her anything he wanted. How would she know?
“Kaily.” His rough, but gentle purr covered her skin. Slipping his palms over her waist, he stroked over her breasts, then caressed the swells. Omygawd, what was he...her dream lover come to life?
She pried one eye open, and gazed at his strong taut groin. “Eleven pipers piping...gonna pipe me, with that pipe?”
“Your wish, my woman,” he growled softly. “One.” He seized her breasts, then lunged.
She moaned with the torrid pleasure, the rapture already simmering through her sheath and igniting her pussy mound.
“Two,” he growled savagely.
She gripped his forearms, luxuriating in the feel of his hands as a blaze of ecstasy shot up her belly.
“Three.”
The immense weight and size of his cock lit her up like a bonfire.
“Four.”
As he plowed his manhood deep inside her, she whimpered, and dug her nails into him.
“Five,” he roared. With primitive strength, he thrust inside her six more times.
Her orgasm flared into an inferno of rapture throughout her flesh, and Kaily felt him strike deep, then squeeze her breasts into cones. Groaning her name, he raised up, rigid with his orgasm.
Long moments later, he languidly rolled her on top of him, his embrace heaven.
“God, can your lord leap,” she praised, letting herself snuggle against his chest.
“Then, my pipe is pleasing. And remains pleasing in you.” She opened her eyes meeting his dark golden eyes.
He looked so smug, she muttered drily, “You’re not an actual lord, are you?”
His grin could have eaten a canary. “No, my beautiful gift, I am not a lord as you mean it.”
She waited a breath or two before asking, “What are you?” Her heart tripped rapidly, suddenly, as if some part of her knew.
“On my world I would be considered a King.”
Despite his sumptuous molding of her butt, her eyes flew open, and straight into the amused brilliance of his. Her heart pounded like a damn hammer. “What? The King of Beasts?” The silly words burst out the instant they appeared before her mind’s eye.
“The King of Vhayquexia. One of thirty realms.”
Nothing made sense anymore. She merely gaped at him, still as a mouse hiding from a stalking cat.
“There is no urgency. I am certain my brother enjoys ruling in my absence.”
“I’m sure I don’t understand,” she hesitantly whispered.
“I traveled to meet a bride I did not wish to marry.”
“A princess?” Kaily blinked, feeling like she lived in a fairytale.
“A ferocious and particularly vicious princess with claws like scorpions.”
“Why?” She had to know.
“As firstborn it was my obligation to fulfill the treaty. Even though I objected.” His gaze turned to smoke. “On the twelfth day of Christmas...”

11:11 ~ When a Good Angel Falls

Congratulate me, Big Cats, the Kougar has just finished her first full edit for When a Good Angel Falls ~ BookStrand Publishing ~ technically, on the day requested. However, moi is certain, 11:11 am was meant instead of 11:11 pm.
Meow-eerily and tail-tingly, there it was ~ 11:11 PM ~ as yours truly was about to hit the send button. For all those Kool Kats in the mystic 2012 know, this is a time and a number which will live in infamy ~ and is featured in moi's futuristic fantasy about December 21, 2012, the end date of the Mayan calendar.

In doubt, Big Kitties, just try Googling 11:11, and you could find all sorts of amazingly profound meanings and interpretations. And synchronicities...

Think 'strange universe' synchronicities. The Kougar gives you as evidence this e-mail sent to George Knapp when he hosted Coast-to-Coast am.

6/28/2008 at 10.45 PM

>Hi George, this was so synchronistic, I had to e-mail. I'm working on
my edits for When a Good Angel Falls, contracted by BookStrand
Publishing. The heroine's name is Sedona. So when I heard your
guests talking about being in Sedona, that hit home. Then when 2012
came up from one of the callers, that really hit home, since this novel is
a 2012 futuristic romance, that takes place during December 21, 2012.
Then, the socks about came off, when one of the callers said they were
of Mayan heritage, and talked about the endtimes, which is also
focused on during the story.
>No, it's not the first time this kind of synchronicity has occurred, but it's
still tingly cool.
>Smiles, Savanna Kougar ~ pen name

AND! The Kougaress gives another 'strange synchronicity' while she lovingly paw-penned her revisions. This site was featured in the Coast-to-Coast news section on Monday, June 30, 2008. From whence the above pic comes from ~ not to mention moi's heroine's name is Sedona.

By Steve Hammons
News released today about a secret U.S. Government project to analyze an allegedly extraterrestrial craft has a unique twist.

According to the anonymous sources, it crashed approximately 150 million years ago during the age of the dinosaurs.

When a Good Angel Falls ~ Cover Art

The Magical Invitation of Cover Art

Just for your Big Cat shiny eyes from the Kougar...
One of the best things about walking into a bookstore for me, besides all of those fantastic books just begging to be read, is the magical invitation of cover art. Yes, there’s also the wonderful smell of all those books, tempting and teasing all of us bookaholics. There they sit on their shelves and endcaps, in the bargain bins, waiting to find their right homes, ready to be ensconced in our shopping bags.
But before I choose which ones to buy, whether it’s an adventurous escape into romance or my eclectic appetite for non-fiction, anything from travel to building that next deck, I look at the pictures, those amazing displays of graphic art.
I saunter around the shrine of reading and indulge in all those rows of cover art. Today, more than ever, it’s a kaleidoscopic feast of styles, meant to tempt you to pick up that book and buy, buy, buy. Usually, I don’t unless the accompanying blurb and a quick peek inside convince me...yep, this read is for me. Once in awhile, I’ll succumb and purchase just for the cover art, if it resonates at such a deep level I can’t resist.
Yup, even as a kidlet before kindergarten I wanted the irresistible eye candy of those big picture books as much as I wanted to hear my mom or dad read the story. What could be better than living the tale and seeing it unfold as the artist imagined the story? All at the same time? That has never changed or me. Growing up, I was usually as excited over the cover art and pictures as I was eager to read the story waiting for me, the one that would wisk me away to another time, another place.
Now, in the age of cyber cover art, I’m in a beautiful-color paradise of images designed to catch my eye and lure me to the click-buy button. From the lovely sensual romance cover art of our Friday guest blogger, Sarah Mallory – to the exquisite sizzling beauty of the vampire slayer on Colleen Gleason’s cover art – or the more traditional oh-be-still-my-beating-heart covers on Anna Campbell’s novels (I always feel like swooning into the hero’s hard, but tender embrace) – to our Helen’s cover art for The Magic Knot. Which, I swear, grabs me more each time I look at it. Perhaps, it’s the celtic lyrical magic of the images combined with the realism of the entwined couple. That feel of mythos brought forward into modern times, which has an enchantment-appeal all its own to our psyches, where archetypes live and constantly weave their spells inside us. Hey, think Xena, Warrior Princess or Hercules with Kevin Sorbo, where the gods and goddesses were on their worst behavior and their best behavior.
Okay, why a blog about cover art? Gee, I dunno...could it be? Could it?
Yeah, big surprise, I’m showing off my cover art for When a Good Angel Falls, coming from Siren-BookStrand late in 2008, and currently featured on the new BookStrand site. Jinger Heaston is the cover artist and I think she beautifully captured my story. I couldn’t be happier. Kudos, Jinger!
Blurb for When a Good Angel Falls ~ 2012 futuristic ~
A world-weary, worn-out, incarnated angel who believes she is merely human has three choices: let the Nazerazzi of the North American Union capture her, walk out into the desert night and let the wildlife have a meal, or trust a mysterious stranger on a black motorcycle...More ~

Oh Trish! I'm so glad you blogged about your past year and your successes. Congratulations. And I so know what you mean. There's that glorious high moment of being contracted. Gambling Casinos & the Lucky Vampires ~
Today! Big Lovely Cats, Destiny Blaine is the guest blogger at Title Magic. For the entire scoop on gambling casinos and lucky vampires transform into your bat-winged form and soar on over.

THE KOUGAR'S INTRO: A mighty big welcome to my fellow Siren and Bookstrand author, Destiny Blaine. This little lady is so high energy I just cain't keep up with her.
Seriously, Destiny is an impressive multi-published author and has an absolutely amazing hand with promo. Her Yahoo group, Just Another Paranoromal Monday is fun, and a great opportunity for readers to find the books they want, and a great way for authors to show off their books with blurbs and excerpts, and, of course, the chance to answer any questions. While my loop cyber-social skills aren't too impressive, hey, I'm learning and having a good time. And getting a chance to, maybe, find readers interested in my e-novels.
If we're all really nice to Destiny, she may even offer us a gambling tip or two. Personally, I'm absolutely intrigued with her casino knowledge and background as a gambler. Not to mention the rest of her colorful life. Wow! Thanks for being with us today, Destiny.
I want to first thank Title Magic and Savanna Kougar for allowing me to join in and blog here today. I’m glad to have the opportunity to spend the first day of May with all of you! Savanna and I are fellow authors at Siren Publishing and we’ll both be published by BookStrand too!
I’m really excited to blog with you today because I have some phenomenal news to share. Winning Virgin Blood just released from Siren Publishing on April 28th
(http://www.sirenpublishing.com/destinyblaine/). Winning Virgin Blood, for those of you out there who like paranormal, actually motivated and initially inspired the concept of a new paranormal loop author Ann Cory and I just started. Just Another Paranormal Monday operates as a Monday-only chat loop for readers, writers, and pretty much anyone who loves paranormal.

Hi Jami, Audrey, lovely to have you in my neck of the blogging woods.Anitra, so glad you came by. Hey, forties are powerful!

char, hi! glad you made it over.
Renee! luv that you came by! Renee, has a lovely informative newsletter out now. Okay, All Shades of Blue Paradise is featured. But I'm not that biased that I don't know a good thing when I see it. reneeknowles.com to check it out.
Ash, yay! My fave comedic hot author! Thanks! Hey, I may need a some gambling atmosphere from Destiny. Hopefully, I'll have something to trade that she needs.
Destiny, wow! Throwing-the-dice wow!
P.S. Moi has not forgotten her Red Lioness winner. Yowl-tomorrow!

The Winds of Cover Art

Big Cats, another whirlwind, spin-the-brain day so far. With storm winds streaking through the Kougar's prairie this morning. The blue splendid sky has just shown itself on the afternoon horizon...reminding ~ *out of the blue* ~ a phrase moi keeps hearing spoken these chaotic, perfect storm days, and time.
The Winds of Cover Art ~ A glorious surprise in the Kougar's e-mail, the the preliminary cover art for When a Good Angel Falls, her 2012 futuristic coming from Siren-BookStrand. Gorgeous, Big Kitties, just gorgeous! Moi had only two requests for changes.
And, in her e-mail David Burton, the incredible cover artist for Red Lioness Tamed, Liquid Silver Books, has redesigned his website with a link to moi's e-novel. In a later blog, the Kougaress will provide David's bio. But why wait? just a quick paw-click on the link below will take you to his site.
Psssst...all Good Kitties...a secret, this year's winner allowed moi and the other American Title IV finalists a peek at her book's cover art. Impressive, especially the font for the title and the way her name appears...the, yum, entwined couple is sexy delicious.
And, meow-continuing the cover art theme, the Kougar received e-confirmation her cover art form for Tangerine Carnal Dreams made it to Aspen Mountain Press. With toesies and claws crossed moi hopes it will follow in the cover prints of her two current releases. O great and lovely Bast, an ear pricked toward the Kougar's plea, please and thank you.
Sigh...a swish of her tail, the news piles up too swiftly for the Kougaress to accomplish all!!!
Purr-another note, Just Another Paranormal Monday with AuthorPromo, a Yahoo group, had it's spectacular debut today, with the Kougar providing her yowling-introduction. Shout-indeed, a good venue to scan out your fave genres and enjoy excerpts.
With her brain like corn mush yesterday, and not on creative paw-penning, the Kougaress stalked her shape-shifter and were-beasties WIPs, collecting them into one resource file, preparing for her next story project.
Rumbling-of, Lovely Big Kitties, moi has changed the series title for, Tangerine Carnal Dreams, her stallion shifter novel, to Her Stallion Prince.
Memory or memories, the song or intimate memories, Beautiful Big Cats, streamline your body over to Title Magic for Evonne's fascinating blog about memory. Mewings below
Evonne, wonderful post on memory. It is a fascinating topic unto itself. Certainly, it is a tricky animal at times. I generally have a good memory, but then when I screw up, I really!!! screw up.

Sometimes I should jot down ideas, phrases more. I have thought of key phrases while I'm driving and I keep repeating them as much as possible -- really need a recorder, but then I have to remember to use it.
Evonne, I'd luv to see the story you're talking about, how six memories shaped the hero's life. As a counterpoint, six memores that shaped the heroine's life, and how they come together, or arrive at the crossroads together???
End of March kisses from the Kougar...

A Day of March Miracles

A March miracle has occurred, Beautiful Big Kitties. Indeed, the Kougar was faced with a major/minor repair situation of her beloved gravel drive. A giant cave in...meow-well, it was about a foot and a half foot deep and about two feet long (lots of rain) where the tiny full stream passes beneath. Bravely, the Kougar filled her two buckets with scrap bricks, then took to her van. After dumping one pail inside with minimal filling result, she discovered where the gargantuan hole drained, down to an immense yawn of ground. *Beware! Exaggeration used for effect here.* With Spirit guidance the Kougaress discovered a big ole' slab of old concrete to block off the drainage, then filled up and got 'er done.
The miracle? Moi's strength was taxed, but yowl-amazingly, not as severely as in the past two years. Gradually, one paw-step at a time, the Kougaress is regaining her health. A grateful bow to Bast. Because this is a true healing miracle.
Moi's other miracles ~ she received her formal contracts from Siren-Bookstrand for Pleasures of Blue Lotus Oil and When a Good Angel Falls. Yay! Happy-roar! Yay!
And purring loudly about March miracles, the miracle of Easter and Spring is upon us. The froggie woggies are lustily singing to beat the birdie band on moi's tame prairie pond. Early this morning the full Mother Moon was the most glorious miracle of orange ~ not peach, not fruit orange, not sherbet orange ~ ethereal brilliant delectable orange ~ with trails of midnight blue clouds on her shining face. The Kougaress watched Lunabelle sink into the turquoise teal blanket of clouds on the horizon, before closing her squinchy eyes in slumber.
Rumble-in-awe, miracles abound this day. For, a gorgeous male cardinal preened himself, remaining on his branch as moi cooed at him through her kitchen window. Long moments later, he and his mate fed on the seed-rich un-mowed lawn.
The shamanic message? Perhaps, a trail the Kougaress should sniff out.
Most blessed Easter celebrations to all. May Resurrection live within you and your loved ones, as it lived within Christ, the holy One.
Big Cats, the miracle of tenacity and being published on Title Magic today by Guest Blogger, Susan Macatee. Moi's rumble-ramblings and Susan's comment below:
Hi Susan, late again to the party. Had to fix a big gaping hole in my gravel drive. Luv that cover too for Eternity Waits.
Congrats on your perseverance and your publishing success. Sharing your story helps and inspires us all. And way cool that your editor joined us. The Wild Rose Press is another notch up in my estimation. And I've already had a good experience with one of the other editors.
The Civil War has always been one of my favorite eras of American History. Will look forward to your novel. Mucho success!

Susan Macatee has left a new comment on the post "Guest Blogger Susan Macatee": Thanks, Savanna!I love the Civil War period and am grateful The Wild Rose Press is actually looking for romances set there.

March miracle kisses from the Kougar...

The Happy Dance Ensues

Most excellent news! Big Kitties all. The Kougar's happy dance ensues. And she has a big smile on her furry mug. Book II in her World of the Blue Pearl Moon series, Pleasures of Blue Lotus Oil, is being contracted by Siren Publishing. Indeed, Lady Sheridan and Baron Zaggry will continue their sizzle-fierce love story. Yay! Joyfully roaring! Yay!
And the news gets better! When does that happen in our current dark-mood world? Siren Publishing's sister company, Bookstrand, will be the new home of When A Good Angel Falls. Yes, the fictional truth about 2012 will be told. Oh! Happy Days! and lots of Endtime Hurrays! Butch Volcano and the Sundance Angel save the world astride heaven's super-powered black motorcycle.
Yep, coming to an e-book near you!
Dilemma...dilemma, oh what to do about a website. More and more the Kougar feels the need to create one, or have it created, since her tech skills are still severely limited. Oh, rumbling-yowl, what to do...
Cold, dear Big Cats! The arctic cold swept in like a lion wind, and the prairie ground freezes while the sun blazes warmth from the blue, streaming-cloud sky. And the Kougaress has made good writing progress...so far...on her WIP, Wolf Kill. Below is the current first paragraph, and remember this is under copyright, meow-mine's.

Mother Moon hung in the western midnight sky, a slim silver-white crescent. Duke Zon of the Virgo Clan, wolf shifter, paused on a high grassy ridge located just inside the Crow Indian Reservation near Billings, Montana. After howling his reverence to the all-guiding Mother, he sniffed the gentle crosswinds of early autumn, then scanned the cattle range below. Although, the cattle weren't in his wolf sight, the odor of the thin herd burned rank and potent inside his nostrils. Two full humans, also rank in smell, camped nearby, the crackling of their fire tiny bursts in his ears.

Happy dance kisses from the Kougar...

Kisses for the Fallen Angel

Hi Big Kitties! It's a merry-go-round gone mad! Or, perhaps merely the madness of a full moon, the Wolf Moon of last night -- an exquisite misty bright illumination in the night sky. The Kougaress is howling and yowling beneath this moon, while the numbers 444 mystically appear. Yes, as the Kougar enjoyed Glynis McCants' show on Hayhouse Radio, 4:44am appeared on her computer clock just the numbers lady spoke the numbers 444. Too fur-scratching weird, and always occurring in the Kougar's strange, strange life.
Yowl! the carousel has gone spinning-mad just like the Kougaress' little brain is currently madly on a spin. She heard back from Wild Rose Press on her submission, When a Good Angel Falls. She is fortunate and appreciative that her story was liked by the editor. Rumbling-now, the problem, a request was made that the story increase in word length. No, not a problem for the word-prolific Kougar. Although, she is not exactly sure what direction to take the story, other than a continuation of the heroine's and hero's adventures, which was planned anyway, as a series.
Loud-meowing! Another problem, the Kougar had planned to offer her novel to Siren Publishing if it was rejected, since Siren wanted to contract the story, except it wasn't in the erotic romance category. However, now Siren has branched out to their sister mainstream publisher, Bookstrand.
