Irascible, how about Cat-tankerous?

Yep, my Sunday Springtime KitKats, that’s how this Big Cat is feeling... she could scratching-rip through layers of material... is it the rain and cooler temps? Life in general? Everything in general? The valley and peak of hormones? Something else? Something impending, looming like a black humongous cloud overhead... or, is it the constant writerly search for non-repeating words... how many words for a man’s physical strength are there, modern usage, not in ye olden days where the license to describe is much freer, freewheeling and more free-flowing? Not damn many words! The Kougar is wracking her kitten brain while trying to create the written art of the love story... yowls and grrrr-howls, the English language is so lacking at times!!!

Here’s the August 1990 edition of The Bantam Collegiate Roget’s Thesaurus synonyms for Irascible ~ as follows ~

Irritable, touchy, ill-humored, bad-tempered, excitable, testy, grumpy, choleric, impatient, cantankerous, quarrelsome, grouchy, peevish, quick-tempered

No, IRASCIBLE... that will do it... though, Cat-tankerous sounds all too growling-delicious, and must be used at a later date.

X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues...

Part 482 ~

Sylva felt like a damn computer hard drive. Or her brain did. A complete scene had unfolded, more vivid than a movie. Not to mention she simply knew, understood the details, as if she’d memorized them, of how Coon believed his and Snake’s loved ones could be rescued. “Ready for ya.” Coon spoke to Nevada, then came to a halt before him. “Good. Sooner we get this handled, the happier I’ll be.” The door slid open and Coon jauntily entered, disappearing from Sylva’s view. “He wanted our escort,” Zeke answered the questioning gaze of his dad. “Is Snake’s pistol still a danger?”

Zeke figured he’d discover what had been ‘downloaded’ to his wife before he talked with his father. There was something about the whole situation that had him teetering on the edge of a cliff, more and more, despite their relative safety. He didn’t get any gut sense of a direct attack, or an immediate threat to anyone he loved. Something in the future, though, an ambush in the planning stages. First things first, he decided. “Good dang news on that front, son. Turns out, using that new equipment, we found the pistol’s turn off signal, a series of laser pulses.”

Sereana, quarrelsome definitely fits some men to a tee... or is that t-shirt?

A Cat-tankerous heroine would be fun to pen... downright cat-thartic.
