Gee, meowsa... my extraordinary and elusive Big Cats, a rare treat today for the Kougar... actual blue skies, a shining sun... and last night the hanging crescent moon graced a dark teal sky... hmmm-contemplating purrs... the Kougaress is feeling some not-so-good stuff about to happen on the world stage... course-yowls! There’s so much that might not mean a whole lot... though, in this case, moi thinks it will be serious of very nasty events, none of which will be exposed for what it actually is, or who actually perpetrated this nastiness... so stay on lookout and take of yourself and all those you love... the time for real community has come. This is the Aquarian Age.
Band together. Produce those goods you can and have fun. Learn and use the skills and crafts that used to be relied upon. The Amish and Mennonites are excellent examples. And, as several communities are now doing, create a local currency or way of trading and doing business with each other. Why rely on the dollar? It’s piece of paper with no intrinsic worth.

X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues...
Part 416 ~
Sylva blinked, torn between listening to the rest of her husband’s joke and asking him when roping a wife had become tradition. The next instant, she recalled Marina’s words ~ ‘It’s been a tradition since the West was won.’ “Wait!” Sylva pinned him with her gaze. “Your sister said roping a wife has been around since the West was won.” Seemingly unperturbed, Zeke nodded. “Yep, this was before the West was won. Before California joined up with the other western territories.” Sylva scrunched her brow. “So, what changed?” Her cowboy leisurely stroked the length of her thigh. “Competition. Men wanting women.”
Zeke scrutinized his Sylva’s expression. “There was a lot of westerners buying land and buildin’ lives so competition for wives got real fierce. Roping began as a way to claim a woman first.” He watched her absorb his words. “Oh... go on. Saturday night in town.” Zeke loosed a grin. “Saturday night was common, back in those days, for not only raucous entertainments, but for findin’ an unattached woman. Now our cowboy, Bill or William, was an experienced son of a gun, having found many a willing rancher’s daughter. Plus, he wasn’t shy around the ladies of the evening, neither.”

More and more small communities or groups of people are creating their own economies... I wish I could find similar-minded folks here. So far, I haven't... but it's pretty isolated here.
