The Awakened Soul... and the first Pokeberry...

Morning, trying to wake up purrs, my lovely, loveliest Felines... no post last night, the lightning and storms moved in, and the lightning stayed... yesterday the Kougaress ate her first pokeberry... she is NOT recommending this since pokeberries do have a toxin that could affect some folks... however, pokeberries are also good for your health in many key ways ... so, what did it taste like it? Sort of musky grape-like, and not bad at all.

Watch your sixes, my darlings, the times they are a-changing.

The Awakened Soul... while some may argue over the existence of the Soul, and the proof thereof... and while this Big Cat isn’t a big proponent of ‘taking things on faith’ because only god knows how often that’s been used to bully and con and ruin folks lives... what it ALL comes down to really is... either you’ve experienced SOUL or you haven’t... either you’ve experienced the existence of your own soul, and it’s unique, every-expanding characteristics... or you haven’t. It’s like a blues song, blues music in general... either you can feel the ‘soul’ of the song... the soul in the words, in the music, in the singer... or you can’t. Either you can feel the soul of humanity on Earth -- the universal throb, the divine wisdom of the Over Soul as some call it... or you can’t. You’re not in tune. And, ‘not’ that you should be. This is as personal as it gets because you get to choose your experience.

That said, the Awakened Soul is here... expanding, growing, becoming ever more than before... becoming both divine and more human in nature. This isn’t some airy fairy, blissed out state of being... although, that’s included... the Awakened Soul is also gritty, down to Earth, real as it gets... it’s about living life as a full human being... it’s about overcoming the corruption and darkness that now consumes our world whole, like a ravenous and ravening beast, insatiable in it’s need to destroy and keep on devouring.

The Awakened Soul is yours. If you want it.

Dolphins Heal Themselves--Maybe We Can Too
Tuesday, August 16, 2011

Scientists have discovered that dolphin wounds heal up wonderfully quickly and want to figure out how human wounds can heal the same way. Marine researchers are amazed at how quickly dolphins manage to heal the wounds caused by severe shark bites. Wounds larger than a basketball have been cured in weeks without causing notable pain or infection or leaving a scar.

Press TV quotes biologist Michael Zasloff as saying, "If I saw this in a human being, I wouldn't believe it. It should awe us. You have an animal that has evolved in the ocean without hands or legs, which swims faster than we can, has intelligence that perhaps equals our social and emotional complexity, and its healing is almost alien compared to what we are capable of."

Zasloff thinks that dolphins' resistance to infection may be linked to their blubber, which contains natural that act like antibiotics. Press TV quotes him as saying, "It's most likely that the dolphin stores its own antimicrobial compound and releases it when an injury occurs. "My hope is this work will stimulate research that will benefit humans. I feel reasonably certain that within this animal's healing wounds we will find novel antimicrobial agents as well as potent analgesic compounds."

Lovely thoughts on the awakening soul, Savanna!

Oooh, pokeberries...never tried one, but I like the name. Did you pick them around your yard? :)

Thank you, Serena. Yep, I did pick them from my yard, courtesy of the birds who obviously love them, and leave the seeds to grow... and I tried another one today... I don't think it was quite as ripe because it was more bitter in taste... although, it had less seeds... exciting stuff, huh?

Remember the song Poke Salad Annie... yep, this is the same plant.
