Poetry Trip Back to the Future

Nighttime meows, my fancy dancy Felines... still warm on the tame prairie, but overcast heavy clouds... yuck! Still, as they say, it could be worse... how about a hundred percent better? Take care, my darlings, the world is raging... and this Big Cat loves ya!
~~~
Poetry Trip Back to the Future... yep, the Kougar took a walk back, looking at her poetry because she’s blogging [see below]... it was a fascinating trip to discover where she’s been the past several years, and how that translates into penning future poetry. Sometimes this Big Cat’s poems are written purely on a thought, a fantasy. Free form. At other times, like the poem offered here, inspiration comes, in part, from someone else’s poetry. Inspiration, yes, but the words and sentiments are all the Kougar’s.
Zurroc's Love Poem to Kytaira
I know my tigress.
Wild fierce energy burning,
she is large of heart.
Kind to those in need,
she is a predator for justice.
Currents of white-hot fire arc
between us
when her Tigress spirit
mates with my Tiger soul.
Ancient passions ignite
when we tangle,
woman and man becoming one.
Savage is another name
for the beauty of my Tigress.
She frees me, my woman.
For, what is untamed in me
growls to caress what is untamed in her.
Playing Cupid at the Pleasure Club
by Savanna Kougar
Almost full-moon howls, shapeshifter lovers. So, I was suddenly struck by the idea of a cupid pretender. Maybe, my muse considered it to be a good ha-ha jest and she shot one of those Valentine’s Day arrows through my writer’s brain. But then, I always have been overly curious. What would it be like to play cupid? Sorta...
Sexy Calorie Burning.
by Christa Paige
Did you have a great Valentine’s Day yesterday? Have you lost count of the chocolates or in my case caramels you might have consumed? Were you lucky enough to get to go out and eat at some snazzy restaurant where indulgence was the theme? Are you regretting any of it? I know I am. So, now what?
Well, I thought I would list a few sexy ways to burn off those Valentine’s Day extravagances.
X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues...
Part 778 ~
Sylva nuzzled her sexy cowboy’s chest. “I think you bronco-busted this gal. Can we rest until it’s time to dress for dinner?” Almost before she knew it, her Zeke had released her, and was climbing out of the fancy jacuzzi. He offered his hand as Sylva rose, assisting her out. In moments, he’d wrapped a drying robe around her, and slung a towel around his hips. Moving to the wall, he opened a panel and pressed a series of buttons. The twang of western music filled the room, a slow romantic tune she’d never heard. “We’re still on our honeymoon.”
Zeke sauntered toward his Sylva. Her expression pleased him, especially the trust glowing in her eyes. “You do have the most beautiful eyes, wife.” Zeke paused, taking her hand. “The most beautiful everything, come to think of it.” Pulling her to him, he looped his arms around her. He splayed his hand on her back for moments reveling in the feel of her against him. Stroking his hand upward, he cupped her head and pressed her face against his chest. “Where you belong, darlin’.” Zeke rocked her to the tempo of the music. “I want lots of dancing time with you.”
BEWARE! The Workers of America are likely to take issue with the way they are currently being treated, and return to the times when they battled for union rights. For gosh sake, the Wisconsin governor is threatening workers with the national guard, if they dare protest against WRONGS done to them, and being done. Is this even American anymore?
Superb poetry, Savanna! Just read, savoured and wept over your poems at the lindsay's romantics blog. The sonnet was soulful and the other so powerful and sensual. Do these lovers reunite?
Savanna Kougar said...
Serena, this is a powerful, to-the-point way to write poetry... at least, as I experienced it.
I wonder if we could do something unique with it as Shapeshifters?
Hi, Lindsay, coming from you, I feel honored.
Yes, I can't leave my lovers apart. They have missions on Earth together.
