Why am I writing about this boring topic? Lately, more lavish description than is needed or wanted seems to be creeping in some fiction. While our writing instructors tell us “less is more,” and encourage us to omit descriptive phrases, we still feel compelled to endlessly describe.

The following week will not be a ‘fun’ one for a lot people. Natural disasters continue across the globe while the economy dives toward an abyss that was artificially created by those financial bad guys who serve the *dark side*. Again, preparation is the name of the game. Watch out for those ‘out of the blue’ bolts that like to strike when we least expect it. The good side, these ‘bolts’ are hidden blessings. Take advantage, once you realize what can be achieved and go for it!

Also, use this week to continue meeting and greeting your neighbors, and those in your community who are approachable and have good standing. Explore new ways to connect with each other. Talk about new ways to trade services with each other. Everything in the future, near and far, will be based on community. Discover those good and honest folks you can do business with locally. A whole new way of connecting with each other is arriving, one that is based on ‘soul meeting soul’ and ‘truth seeing and knowing truth’. This is the Aquarian Age.

We start off the month of August with two days of mega-high-octane energy starting with Jupiter in Aries squaring Pluto on August 3. Jupiter in Aries is go-ahead, self confident; it acts as a motivator, a crusader and can be wildly impulsive. When it meets powerful Pluto at a square, then it can boost all those tendencies way over the top.

Jupiter and Pluto together have a reputation for making certain people think that rules and regulations don't apply to them, so you may find yourself in situations that are tricky to handle. This cosmic energy can make some of us become a law unto to ourselves and thoroughly stubborn. Although, if you find yourself on the receiving end, be prepared to be slapped down by the boss, or end up with traffic or parking tickets. The upside of Jupiter Pluto is that it boosts confidence so if you're normally timid it will help enormously.

What complicates matters is that by very next day, August 4, Pluto moves on to square Mars, and Jupiter has moves into an opposition to Mars - across the zodiac. So there will be a dizzying combination of assertion and dynamism from Mars, expansive though possibly unrealistic optimism from Jupiter, and Pluto's drive for control and influence.

Jupiter - Pluto combinations tend to work on the might makes right theory of life. Mars - Jupiter can be self justifying, tending to wrap its' aggression in high minded moral excuses. Mars - Pluto just knows that relentless determination pays off.

If you get it right you could move mountains, start grandiose new projects, or turn your life around. But you could just as easily find yourself pushed around by someone else's inflated schemes. The key is to be centred. Be neither too stubbornly intent on getting your own way, nor too submissive. Be yourself and use this time as productively as possible.

Sylva blinked several times, frustration pouring through her. “Duct tape,” she muttered, as an image of her head being wrapped by duct tape entered her mind. “I need to wrap my head with duct tape just to keep it from blowing apart.” She chuckled briefly at the thought, the picture staying before her mind’s eye. Rolling on her side, Sylva let a huge sigh escape. So much had happened, and was happening, her mind struggled to contain it all. Not to mention even if she ‘knew’ to her soul Zeke remained okay. Still, she worried. How could she help it?

Zeke felt like a useless limb as he watched the crew position the submersible directly above the plasma bomb. Benjamin consulted with Phil and Frederick for several minutes. As they talked, they made adjustments to their evolving plan. The particle-directing tech purred to life, warming up for its crucial task. Pivoting around suddenly, Benjamin announced, “It’s gonna be like proddin’ a stubborn mule. Let’s get this show on the road. Zeke I want your steady eye and hand at the helm keeping this baby stable. Nevada, I want you keeping that hawk’s gaze on the panel again. Positions now, gentlemen.”
