Sylva felt the sensation of whirling around as she gazed upward. ‘It is done?’ she asked. ‘Tell them,’ the voice answered. For a split second Sylva wondered, tell who? But, she knew. Tell Zeke and the sub crew. ‘When? Where?’ she asked. Starting to feel her astral form tugged on, pulled somewhere, Sylva didn’t know whether or not to resist. ‘Tell them,’ the voice continued, ‘we will care for the dimensional shell. Their work is finished.’ Slowly, Sylva whooshed somewhere. ‘Okay,’ she answered. ‘Who are you?’ A quiet surrounded her, one that felt all encompassing. ‘We are known as Caretakers.’

Zeke continued easing the submersible upward. “From what I can surmise,” his dad used his pondering voice, ‘looks like the energy stream settled down just fine and is doin’ what we hoped. But, I’ll need more data analysis – “ The submersible rocked like a toy duck in a bathtub. “She’s blowin’,” Benjamin announced what they all realized. “Once we break surface, Zeke. Skedaddle us outta here. I’m puttin’ the coordinates in now. All you gotta do is handle her like you been doin’. I need the rest of the crew for analysis of that volcano. Whew! Feels like we’re cookin’ frogs.”
