What a hippity hop whirl...

Nighttime tired meows, my Spring-awhirl KitKats... hope all was good with your Easter holiday, or however you enjoy celebrating... mostly gray, chilly, partly cloudy on the tame prairie... the squirrels are bopping all over... oh, and a huge ole surprise on Friday... ever witness the coupling of two really long snakes? ... this Big Cat would have thought they would want more privacy... but, since they aren’t venomous, and there is a decline in the overall snake population... well, happy mating to them... meanwhile the driveway hole has expanded, swallowing up the slabs of brick... never fear the Kougaress has a plan, when she can get to town... and she’s hoping it will work... ???

Authoress news and mews ~

Interestingly, when the Kougar went to check out Jay Weidner’s latest DVD film about Stanley Kubrick, the moon landing and the movie, The Shining ~ she went to her Kindle page first just cause it’s simple to navigate from there... despite the two how-low-can-you-go reviews for HER INSATIABLE DARK HEROES, the book is her second bestseller currently... so, really, how much do reviews count overall? Not that the Kougar doesn’t TOTALLY appreciate the good reviews for her bookies... because SHE DOES!

And...

Why is one of the Traffic Sources for this bloggie ~ genezapharmaceuticals.eu ~ the Kougar is definitely puzzling over this one.

Another Life...Another Blessing
by Serena Shay

“Mother.” Adair’s brilliantly colored wings carried him to the weathered cheek of the woman standing atop this town’s namesake. Talbot’s Peak lay nestled in the valley below, alive with the sound of all of Mothers children.

“It is time, sweet boy.” Her sadness could be seen all around, from the drooping flowers to the weeping trees. The sun shed less warmth and the songs of nature were muted.

Quincy's Woman Available Wednesday

Quincy's Woman, my new Eclipse, Texas erotic historical western will be released from Ellora's Cave April 27th.

I backtracked to 1866 to write this short novel about an improbable couple's courtship, marriage and first year together. It was an adventure in writing, that's for certain.
Quincy's Woman evolved from a first draft (2,500 word) diary titled The Journal of Lucy Quince. It's now a 42k book written in first person POV as the story of Lucille McKenna and the love she finds on the Double-Q ranch when she becomes Mrs. Ambrose Quince.

Blurb:

Quincy’s Woman
Gem Sivad

Fresh from the post-Civil War salons and drawing rooms of Boston, Lucy McKenna considers herself a sophisticated young woman. But when she meets Texas rancher, Ambrose Quince, she turns into a flustered girl. He’s too old, war roughened and unrefined—and she has no idea how to deal with the sensual hunger he arouses within her.
Ambrose falls fast and hard for the innocent debutante visiting Eclipse, Texas. Persuading Lucy to accept his pursuit becomes a duel of wits and passion as he awakens her desire.
Lucy leaves Boston and childhood behind when she becomes Mrs. Ambrose Quince. Her lonely days on the Double-Q ranch are filled with work and frustration. But the nights are spent in her husband’s arms learning carnal awareness one molten caress at a time.

Quincy's Woman will be available @ Ellora's Cave April 27th.

Sharing my reviews for: The Count's Lair
by Stephanie Burkhart

Hello, Ladies, I just got a new review for "The Count's Lair" so I thought I'd share it with you. I love Anton and Amelia's story, and while The Count's Lair has gotten great reviews, I just wish the numbers were up there a little more.

Romantic Fireworks from Venus and Uranus!

When romantic Venus and adventuresome Uranus get together, sparks are certain to fly. Add flirty Aries to the mix, and you've got a celestial alignment that's sure to bring a zesty fling to your love life!

On April 23, Venus and Uranus will meet in Aries for an affair to remember. You'll experience an instant, magnetic attraction -- a passion like no other. This is a great time to get out, be social and flirt your heart out!

Just be sure to do so with a bit of caution, as this is a transit that will shut off as quickly as it turned on; after all, romances launched under this influence aren't meant to last. Even more importantly, you don't want to do anything to sabotage a current relationship, as you'll likely end up wishing you could undo everything.

Strong relationships will persevere under these influences, and you'll enjoy the burst of intensity. Relationships that are already on the brink, however, are likely to topple.

Fortunately, also on April 23, Mercury will turn direct, a transit that will ease some of the shock caused by Venus and Uranus. Finally, all the miscommunications and technological meltdowns of the past couple weeks will come to an end. Mercury in Aries likes things to happen quickly and efficiently, so you'll feel a lot better as soon as it returns to its forward course.

We Landed on the Moon, BUT DID WE REALLY SEE WHAT HAPPENED??

Jay Weidner believes that we landed on the moon, but he thinks that we were denied the right to see what actually happened there. He believes that legendary Hollywood filmmaker Stanley Kubrick created the images we saw from the moon, and that we have been denied access to the real footage. This interview delves deeply into the dark heart of Hollywood and the secret realities that are concealed from us. What does the Shining have to do with the moon landing? Was the hotel manager really JFK in the opening interview of the film. Was Jack really Kubrick himself. And why does little Danny in the Shining wear an Apollo 11 shirt?

Jay says that Hollywood is so named because it is a realm of magicians. Holly is considered the most powerful wood for creating magic wands. Stanley Kubrick lived far from Hollywood, because he sensed a dark presence there.

"We're dealing with an occult underground that runs Hollywood, NASA, the government and the banks. And they may not be human."

Fasten your seatbelts, folks, you are going to take an incredible ride with Jay Weidner and William Henry.

Coming Soon From the Air Force: Mind-Reading Drones

By Spencer Ackerman ~ April 19, 2011 ~ 1:19 pm ~ Categories: Air Force

~ wired.com/dangerroom/2011/04/coming-soon-from-the-air-force-mind-reading-drones ~

“Someone’s got to say it. Predicting a pilot’s intent might prevent collisions. But it can also neutralize a human counterattack. Or it can allow the drones’ armed cousins to mimic Israel in the Six Day War and blow up the manned aircraft on the tarmac. Coincidentally, according to the retcon in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, April 19, 2011 — today — is the day that Skynet goes online. Think about it.”

Mating snakes...now that would be a sight to behold. If, of course, I wasn't really fast walking in the other direction!

LOL...not much of a snake fan here. ;)

Serena, It was a major sight to behold! It's taken me awhile to get over the initial shock, and look to see from a safe distance, if they are poisonous, or not. Now the little snakes, as long as they aren't poisonous, don't bother me.
