Dark Poetry Month

After midnight meows, my Springtime loverly Kittens... oh, the quarter moon is gorgeous in her heavenly bower... a warm pleasant day on the tame prairie... the Kougaress received her sunflower seeds, and only hopes now she can get them planted... there is nothing like seeing blooming sunflowers, from the smallest to the largest varieties...

Dark Poetry Month is featured at Just Another Paranormal Monday ~ groups.yahoo.com/group/ParanormalMonday ~ Here’s a poem this Big Cat appreciated. If she had time, she would try her paw at writing a dark poem... but c'est la vie... still, inspiration may strike...? Especially in these times.

The Female Vampire Predator--"La Belle Dame Sans Merci"

Published in 1820, the poem is a ballad (a rhymed story)byJohn Keats. This is another of many "vampire" poems that feature supernatural entities that fall into the faintly parasitic category, and hence get categorized as vampire.

O what can ail thee, knight at arms,
Alone and palely loitering?
The sedge has wither'd from the lake,
And no birds sing.

0 what can ail thee, knight at arms,
So haggard and so woe-begone?
The squirrel's granary is full,
And the harvest's done.

I see a 1ily on thy brow
With anguish moist and fever dew,
And on thy cheeks a fading rose
Fast withereth too.

I met a lady in the meads,
Full beautiful, a fairy's child;
Her hair was long. her foot was light,
And her eyes were wild.

I made a garland for her head,
And bracelets too, and fragrant zone;
She look'd at me as she did love,
And made sweet moan.

I set her on my pacing steed,
And nothing else saw all day long,
For sidelong would she bend, and sing
A fairy's song.

She found me roots of relish sweet,
And honey wild, and manna dew,
And sure in language strange she said--
I love thee true.

She took me to her elfin grot,
And there she wept, and sigh'd full sore,
And there I shut her wild wild eyes
With kisses four.

And there she lulled me asleep,
And there I dream'd--Ah! woe betide!
The latest dream I ever dream'd
On the cold hill's side.

I saw pale kings, and princes too,
Pale warriors, death pale were they all;
They cried--"La belle dame sans merci
Hath thee in thrall!"

I saw their starv'd lips in the gloom
With horrid warning gaped wide,
And I awoke and found me here
On the cold hill's side.

And this is why I sojourn here,
Alone and palely loitering,
Though the sedge is wither'd from the lake,
And no birds sing.

FLIM FLAM MAN ~ Song lyrics

Hands off the man, the flim flam man.
His mind is up his sleeve and his talk is make believe.
Oh lord, the man's a fraud, he's a flim flam man.
He’s so cagey, he’s a flim flam man.

Hands off the man, flim flam man.
He's the one in the Trojan horse making out like he's Santa Claus.
Oh lord, the man's a fraud, he's a flim flam man.
He's a fox, he's a flim flam man.

Everybody wants him, the people and the police and all the pretty ladies disarm.
Oh yeah, the beautiful gent, you know he has hardly a cent.
He pays his monthly rent with daily charm.

Hands off the man, the flim flam man.
His mind is up his sleeve and his talk is make believe.
Oh lord, the man's a fraud, he's flim flam man.
He’s so cagey, he's an artist.
He's a fox, he's a flim flam man.
Don't believe him, he's a flim flam. Ole road runner, he's a flim flam.

Shapeshifting Coyote in a Flying Saucer
by Savanna Kougar

Tuesday greeting yowls and howls, shapeshifter lovers. Yes, it’s occurred. Mindblock... roadblock... a blank screen before my mind’s eye... what now for today’s post?

Yeah, sure, there are lots of animal shapeshifters parading through my head, taking over my thoughts temporarily... horse, of course... giraffe, buffalo... lion, dragon, a space-faring shapeshifter... oh, did you know there is a legendary wereshark in Hawaii, who likes to make friends on land as a human, and then he invites the friend to go swimming... guess who doesn’t come back?

THE OH-SO SAD NEWS ~ When are we Americans going to tell these child molesters to bleep off? When are WE the People going to shun businesses who allow this harassment and sexual molestation? When?

Mygosh, the absolute horror of watching a six year old girl be violated and emotionally scarred for life. As well, the other children present were traumatized and crying out.

And, what about the grandmother who playfully cracked a confetti Easter Egg on an agent... did she really warrant arrest, and then time in jail? She’s a grandmother for gawd’s sake.

From THE POWER HOUR ~

Independent journalist BECKY AKERS serves as a reminder, although it may no longer appear in mainstream news, of the continuing harassment of airline passengers at the abusive hands of TSA minions, and why we must continue with public out-cry and on-the-scene resistance.
"The TSA has labored since 2002 to inflict this nightmare on us - perhaps because so many ex-bureaucrats, martial brass, and other sociopaths with ties to the federal government have invested in the companies that manufacture the scanners."

Oooh, I love sunflowers. They are so bright and happy-looking, though I've never been able to get the seeds from one. My guess is that I'm making some birds very happy.

Serena, yeah, the birdies love 'em! At one time I had the big 'uns, and did try some of the seeds... delish! Much better than the ones that can be bought because they were fresh.
