The winds, the winds...

Adrian Paul flashing the peace sign... what's not love?

Late night meows, my frisky and risky Pussycats... my, my what a long, tiring, and event-packed day for this Big Cat... how about you?
~~~~~~
The winds, the winds... for most of the day on the tame prairie the winds, while not tornadic, were slashingly, whippingly strong... and for a time, so blasting-strong, it was downright dangerous to go outside... this Big Cat wonders if this is a sign of things to come for this Spring... with a mild winter so far, is Spring going to be a storm-hell on wheels?
May the angels help and protect the people of Branson and other tornado and storm-hit areas.
Davy Jones of the Monkees, Rest In Peace, and Play your music. And thank you from this Big Cat for making her life happier in a sea of unhappiness.
Yep, the Kougar is penning away on Chapter 30 of her WIP ~ Her Midnight Stardust Cowboys ~
~~~

Well, okay the Kougar probably got herself in some hot water... who knows how much... but, heckfire, she's tired of being reprimanded for what she didn't do, and others do do, and 'they' don't get the *friendly warning to trim their posts*.on the loop.. so, who knows, maybe she'll be kicked out on her keister... whatever... usually, she simply DOES NOT comment, or say much of anything at all... however, this was concerning the whole Paypal debacle, and the forces behind it. So, not only is the first amendment slipping away daily, but so is tolerance for exercising so-called freedom of speech... and, this Big Cat only had a couple of sentences at most... but didn't cut the other person's longer post because trimming it would have caused 'what was said' to lose the entire meaning... yeee-owwws!

John Carter, a Disney movie starring Taylor Kitsch, Lynn Collins, Willem Dafoe, releases on March 9, 2012 ~ an EIGHT DAY... could mean blockbuster as far as cashola.

So, yesterday, the Kougar clicked over to Passive Guy's excellent blog [on the sidebar] to read about the coming-soon movie, JOHN CARTER, based on Edgar Rice Burrows' 1917 pulp fiction novel, A PRINCESS FROM MARS. Rumor has it Mr. Burrows fictionalized a real story told to him by a man who had been on Mars. Given the Kougar's deep interest in knowing what the REAL TRUTH is about Mars [no she doesn't buy the NASA-establishment lies]... and, yes, it is obvious to her there was a megalithic civilization present on Mars at one time... anyhoo, she was darn curious about what Disney would do with this story and ended up looking at the vid trailer... a big deal for her to upload given she has snail-slow dial-up.

The trailer is definitely action-packed, sweep-you-sway fun to view, and is reminiscent of STARS WARS/INDIANA JONES in it's tone. The visuals of how Mars is depicted look absolutely stunning from what she can tell, and the big ole pet creature is too ugly-adorable. Taylor Kitsch as John Carter also looks pretty darn good and hero-sexy... now, the princess as portrayed by Lynn Collins is outwardly beautiful... and her character will likely be a trendy hit with the younger crowd... however, from the limited flash-looks of her in the trailer... well, her character wasn't allowed to fully develop... she comes off as a bit too plastic, as in a mannequin, dressed-up decoration -- so unlike Princess Leia as played by Carrie Fisher in Star Wars. In typical Disney style, the movie storyline 'appears' to have been made simple for the sake of the kiddies, and for teenage boys. Although, it would be interesting to see the movie and find out what depths there may be.

WIP kind of day
by Rebecca Gillan

Sorry, been busy lately and forgot to write a blog post again. Rather than miss another week, you all are getting a tidbit out of my WIP (work in progress) folder. The following tidbit is the first chapter out of a piece that has the silly working name of "Cheese."

The Clawscar Mountains were actually four separate mountain chains that ran parallel from the northern ice fields to the Western Sea. They were called that because that’s what they looked like if you stood on one of the higher peaks—like some giant beast had carved them out of the rock with its claws.

Alexa closed her eyes
by Desiree Holt

She felt the night wind caress her skin like the touch of a hand, brushing her forehead and cheeks. She pulled her rug closer around her and wished her mother, Kallyn, had stayed with her. All the legends of Kallyn's time, legends she had secretly listened, legends told by the old ones around the fireplace when the women had retired...they all stirred her mind and roused her curiosity.

Your March Forecast is Here!

Dream Big This Spring!

March may come in like a lion, but don't expect the month to feel like a lamb as it comes to an end: The stars are primed to keep you on your toes from start to finish!

There may literally be some roaring as Mercury moves into Aries on March 2 and Mars opposes the Pisces Sun on March 3. Good ideas are useless if you don't have the power to voice them, and Mercury in Aries will help you get your voice heard! Then, on the 3rd, you'll either fall into the Pisces-Sun group, trying to move through life slowly and peacefully, or you'll crack the whip with Mars, getting everyone and everything into tip-top shape.

On March 5, Venus moves into sensual Taurus, upping the romance factor and boosting your affections. Next, the Full Moon in Virgo appears on the 8th, opposing the Sun in Pisces, and encouraging you to find the middle ground between realism and idealism.

Then, after a high-energy start to the month, Mercury throws a wrench in things by going retrograde on March 13, bringing the usual glitches, delays and miscommunications. Fortunately, also on the 13th, Jupiter and Pluto will counter the trials of Mercury retrograde with a large boost in confidence and/or good news on the cash front.

The very next day, on March 14, Venus will join with Pluto and Jupiter, adding love and romance to the list of things you can feel lucky about. Mars will also meet up with Venus and Jupiter, guaranteeing that if fate isn't bringing you good fortune, you'll have what it takes to make your own great luck!

The 15th will be more somber as Mars interacts with Pluto. Under this transit, you can move mountains, but not without a lot of back-breaking work in the process.

You'll get a couple days to let the earlier transits soak in, and then the Sun will move out of passive Pisces and into motivated Mars on March 20, getting you all revved up again. The New Moon in Aries on the 22nd and the Sun-Uranus conjunction on the 24th will both light a fire under you, urging you and everyone else to try to get their own way.

Finally, while still in contact with Uranus, the Sun will square off against Pluto on March 29. This combination is known for collapsing the old order and forcing through new changes.

You've got an exciting month ahead of you!

So that's where John Carter comes from...I saw a preview for the movie and wondered who the heck he was. Clearly I should take a peek at the book. :)

Flashing back at sexy Mr. Paul...ah, peace signs, I'm flashing peace signs! ~wink~

Yeah, the book and what is behind the story is fascinating. I ran across it while I was still active on Myspace... what, three or so years ago?

Mr. Paul will surely appreciate 'those' peace signs. ~grinz~
