Book Censorship... not what it appears to be...

Wow, as an e/small print book author does this Big Cat need the god of war, Ares, on her side right now... especially one this incredibly sexy.

After midnight yowls and howls, my adored Big Beautiful Cats... cold winds swept across the tame prairie today with the possibility of rain/snow moving in... so far, nada... lordy, my darlings, is the noose tightening out there in the world... more and more, it's becoming a world of damned if you do and damned if you don't... the Kougaress just read Paypal's updated policy statement... well, gosh, too bad there isn't another major name out there or this Big Cat would be abandoning ship real quick... as it is, she had plans to expand her use of Paypal... NOT ANYMORE!!! especially with their whole censorship policy against ebooks... but it's not even the censorship which is bad and horrendous enough... it's the fact that it's just an excuse to confiscate/steal money... and, really, that's what the 'new' policy is all about in this Big Cat's opinion... track, trace, database, and steal whatever you can get away with stealing... and it's all labeled legal... meow! about a financial, trying-to-do cyber business gulag.

Book Censorship... not what it appears to be... yeah, this whole debacle over censoring for sexual content is the red herring, one of them chosen, to bring in the BIG BOY MAFIA... look at this way... tralala, you skip merrily down to your local little lingerie fun-toys sexy-things-for-sale boutique... it's a lovely little store with a small lovely staff of helpful people, and an owner who loves the biz.... okay, WAIT! The wally-world of sex arrives, a half acre store of every kind of for-sex thing you can and cannot imagine... so, okay, the boutique loses business at first because of all the 'new' and wondrous products now available from the BIG SEX STORE... however, as time passes, the boutique begins to gain back customers and even bring in new customers because they 'know' their customers and what they really want... besides, the atmosphere is far kinder, and just more nicely intimate [we're not talking sex here]... we're talking a caring staff who truly knows how to help you, and brings in beautiful sexy lingerie of all kinds that are more appealing than the lingerie hanging beneath over-bright glaring lights... not to mention your sex interests are tracked, traced and databased and can be used against you... not to mention 'they' can set you up at any time for doing anything you didn't do, but they'll get you for it anyway... so, of course, the BIG SEX STORE starts losing more and more money or what it really is 'fiat currency and cyber numbers' ... now, their real goal had been to drive the small biz out of biz and simply take over and charge whatever they want, and makes tons more money... you know, corner the market... so what do the BIG BOSSES do? Bring in the BIG CREDIT CARD GUNS, the ones that control Paypal and tell the boutique they can no longer sell certain items, the BIG MAFIA BANKSTER GANGSTER GUNS that freeze the account, confiscate the money in the account... and VOILA! Eventually no more little cool boutique with fabulous lingerie... no more small businesses... because the BIG MAFIA BOYS want every last penny anyone would ever spend on any kind of sex business spent with THEM. You know, like a monopoly. Or, you know, like Prohibition. Where the MAFIA GANGSTERS made huge profits because alcohol was illegal, and that, ladies and gentlemen, was the REAL reason Prohibition was brought in... *not* for moral reasons as we're so often falsely taught. That was just the red herring to take over the business of making and selling alcohol. IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY!!! IT'S ALL ABOUT THE CONTROL!!! Yep, Carrie Nation was just handy little 'smoke and mirrors' tool THEY used. Bottom line, THEY don't want the competition of the small e-erotica market. It's taking a bite out of their bottom line. Too bad we can't take a monstrous BITE out of their soulless monstrous crimes.

Authors, for a good overview of the recent attack by Paypal ~ ~

Authoress news and mews ~

Yes, the Kougar is writing, writing on her WIP ~ Her Midnight Stardust Cowboys ~ and is about to being Chapter 29. She had intriguing lucid dreams that resulted in a line for the story and a couple of strong ideas, which she managed to write down before the business of the day chased them away.

The Kougar saw this on author, Mel Teshco's blog [get the link at SHAPESHIFTER SEDUCTIONS]:

Quote of the Month - *"The most improbable tales can be made believable, if your reader, through his sense, feels certain that he stands at the middle of events." ~Ray Bradbury~

The whole thing about character flaws continues to get under this Big Cat's author skin, thusly she left this comment on a *good* blog by author, Cara Bristol, at ROMANCE WRITERS BEHAVING BADLY ~

Taking a different stance, while I understand the idea of character flaws, I kinda got burned out on them after years of reading romance novels. I mean, really? How many character flaws can I overcome as a reader? Of course, we all have our weak points... but, of far more interest to me these days, is a heroine/heroes' strong points, and how they are used and develop as the story goes along, in the face of challenges.

Big Cat by-the-numbers ~

12:12 am... 2:22 am... 3:33 am... 12:12 pm... 1:11 pm... 2:22 pm... 3:33 pm... may the dark powers that be in the financial world fall and turn to dust...

The most powerful weapon is the human soul on fire.

~ Have a happy and magickal February ~

And, May you live the dreams of your heart, not in interesting times...

Routy and rambunctious kisses from the Kougar...

It is disheartening because of where it's really coming from... the Biggies want to either shut down or control their competition because small e-presses like EC and Siren, and others are making money... and because Indie authors are rising big time, and some of them are making money, which only encourage more of us authors to try... and the Biggies don't like it. Plus, they're all about shutting down any kind of free speech.

Yeah, I know I love those kind of lucid dreams!
