Facing Your Soul as an Author

The Kougaress isn't really a Cadillac kind of girl, but a pink Cadillac... oh, yeah...

Yowls close to midnight, my jiving Hep Cats... goodness, what a long and tiring biz-type day... still nice-nice weather on the tame prairie. The world is getting stranger by the second, my darllings, so take care. ‘Cause this Big Cat loves ya!

Facing Your Soul as an Author... the Kougaress had another one of her insights today, one of those sudden deep knowings that is triggered by experiencing what is occurring in your life. Over the years she has done her darndest to be true to herself. She has done her best to live her dreams.

In this quick flash of understanding, the Kougaress realized that her soul is satisfied and happy with the books she has written and published. Every single one of them. And, yes, the Kougaress wrote with soul.

It felt good to know this, however, to feel it at this soul level. It still feels good. A warm lovely feeling that will always be there inside.

Facing your soul is sort of like facing yourself in the mirror. Only this is a sensation of standing face-to-face with your soul, as seen before your mind’s eye, and knowing that what you did, what you’ve written was true to your soul.

No, this Big Cat’s books aren’t as commercially successful as some authors. She’s not complaining, though, because she is commercially successful. And, heck yeah, she’s all for selling more books.

In a way, now she has something richer now. A richness inside that can’t be replaced with money.

This is not some monk-like thing advocating ‘no money’ or a vow of poverty. Not at all. Sure, the Kougaress needs money to pay for those things that everyone pays for. In fact, she believes in divine prosperity for everyone. Not as a social handout, of course. But, as a natural consequence of who you are, your talents, and what you can provide to others ~ products, services, art.

This might sound like an excuse to some, this face-your-soul thing. Or, it might sound like a justification for not being as successful as some in this biz. Believe that, if you will. All the Kougaress can do is speak what’s true for her. And write what is pleasing to her and to her soul. And, she so hopes it’s pleasing to others.

Authoress news and mews ~

So, the Indie education continues for this Big Cat author. The downside is all the time and energy expended instead of actual writing... still, the Kougar wants to re-release RED LIONESS TAMED and BLACK CAT BEAUTY as Indie ebooks for right now. Then, hopefully, at some point soon, she’ll have time finish the next book in the series. Who knows, if she can get the hand of this Indie thing... maybe... hopefully, it will get easier.

Kitty Outwits the Nude Serpent Man
by Savanna Kougar

Instinctively, Kitty ‘Katrina’ Collins backed into the tight space between the library she’d just left, and Talbot’s Peak’s post office, a recent victim of the cutback. Not that postal mail delivery really mattered anymore. The town had already made plans at the latest meeting, hiring the Pony Express family as they were fondly called, to pickup and deliver everyone’s mail.

Unable to believe her eyes, at first, still Kitty squeezed herself in more tightly. The odor of serpent assaulted her nostrils. Aware she scraped her bare shoulders, she kept her gaze locked on the nude human striding boldly down the middle of the street, as if he owned the place. No, she corrected herself, as if he believed he was about to conquer the world.

Big Cat by-the-numbers ~

11:11 pm... 12:12 am... 2:12 am... 2:22 am... 5:55 am... 10:10 pm... evil is planning more major attacks... good is turning every evil deed into a backlash against the perpetrators... it’s an ongoing boom-boom clash of thunderstorms...

The most powerful weapon is the human soul on fire. ALL POWER TO THE PEOPLE!

~ Happy Snappy September ~

And, May you live the dreams of your heart, not in interesting times...

Jiving Hep Cat kisses from the Kougar...

Oh I agree, Savanna, though money is swell, a happy, glowing soul is better. It makes you richer in so many ways others have yet to reach. ~smiles~
