Casino World... the not-fun one...

Late night ‘verra hot’ meows, my pool-side, pretty Kittens... and not ‘hot’ as in sexy and real damn inspiring hot... like Daniel Craig in the upcoming movie, Cowboys and Aliens... where this pic is from. The Kougaress may have to get the DVD, if this film proves worthy.

But blast-furnace hot, at least for awhile on the tame prairie. Oh, do take care, Kittens. Take lots of water wherever you travel, just in case you get stranded somewhere for a time.

Not in the mood for a downer? Don’t read the following. That’s a fair warning, isn’t it, my darling Big Cats?

Casino World... the not-fun one... Long ago, in a world now seemingly far away, this Big Cat made a few visits to Las Vegas... she won’t go into the ‘personal’ details... suffice it to say, given she has a very curious nature, and is an observer of life, of people... she made a personal study of her surroundings, and of everyone she saw, both outside and inside the casinos. At that time, money flowed like water. You could feel it. You could observe it in the way people acted and carried themselves.

The money game was easy. Alluring. Seductive. For those who knew the ins and outs of the game. For those who played it well.

However, given the current economy, and the fact Vegas leads in the number of foreclosures... the money no longer flows like water, except for those on the inside, and the top elite.

But to continue... Las Vegas has a decided and infamous atmosphere. It’s gaudy out the wazoo and bright as sin. When the Kougaress was there, the ads, the billboards were overbearingly cheesy, and neon-blatant in that way that makes you stop and look whether you want to or not.

While there were certain things about Vegas that were definitely appealing... the incredible magical entertainment, the sun, the pools... the freedom to be glittery if you wanted. At that time, there was a freedom to dress in any way you wanted... no Puritan-disapproval, looking down the nose attitudes.

However, to get to the point. A few days ago, it struck this Big Cat how much being on the internet is like being in Vegas. The negative side of Vegas, that is. It’s endless hype and illusion, as far as all the in-your-face, all-the-time-with-no-relief advertising. Most of what is advertised are scams, the ads designed to get you hooked in, get your info, and get your money. Just like a good prostitute.

The Casino Economy, that’s what Max Kaiser has called the failed and failing, floundering economy that has been forced upon us. Can’t argue. Derivatives are just another name for gambling. The mafia banksters own the game, and hid themselves long enough to steal our country blind. Trillions upon trillions of dollars blind. And, they’re still at it. Hey, who’s going to stop them?

Really, who?

Now, because these mafia elite have gotten away with it, they’re planning to take over the world instead of only the neighborhood. And, really, these days, it is like living in a casino world. The house holds and deals all the cards. The house pays and owns all the muscle. And, there is nothing but uncertainty, nothing but the roll of the dice, at times... one spin of the roulette wheel may get you through the day, through the month, maybe through the year... or, the next spin could put you out on the streets with America’s homeless. The huge and ever-growing numbers of the homeless that include many of our veterans. Most of these people did nothing wrong. They were conned by the system. They were played, scammed, gamed, bamboozled... used and abused.

Yeah, and now ... well, why should anyone get the social security THEY paid into the system to receive? That’s like having a savings account, paying into it faithfully for a couple of decades, only to have it all stolen by some unscrupulous creep.

The ravings of an obsessed mind...
by Rebecca Gillan

Today's blog post is brought to you by a mind completely obsessed with George R.R. Martin’s “A Dance With Dragons.” I got little and less done this week because said book was released last Tuesday. As I didn’t plan ahead and write anything before I sat down to read that lovely tomb of medieval magic and mummery, I had to wing it. In the spirit of shape shifter sexiness, I have prepared a bit of flash fiction involving the sexiest werewolf on TV right now: Jon Snow from “A Game of Thrones.” He also qualifies as a nice bit of dark and brooding eye candy. Enjoy!

Cowboys & Aliens
Posted on July 20, 2011 by Randi Alexander

I was amazed last evening when I saw a trailer for the movie Cowboys & Aliens. I asked my hubby, “Is this for real?” “Yup,” he answered. “What do you think of that?”

I was surprised at first, but then I thought about it. About how writers have been mixing genres for years. So why not a historical western and an alien paranormal?

So I went online to check it out.

Big Cat by-the-numbers ~

4:44 am... 4:44 pm... there is so much corruption ‘everywhere’ these days, it’s oozing out into the public domain, and showing up like an out-of-control, B-movie, black mold monster. Microcosm/macrocosm ~ case in point:

From the POWER HOUR ~

Vocal citizen of Quartzsite, Arizona (3,600-person town), JENNIFER JONES returns to provide the nuts and bolts as to why the town council ousted it's mayor and is going to such great lengths to silence an outraged public over their abuse of power in siphoning tax dollars into their personal treasure troves. How does any citizen get the goods on corrupt officials?

A small town in Arizona is suddenly a YouTube sensation after a town-hall meeting devolved into a physical clash as a woman was forcibly removed from speaking during the public portion of the event. Jennifer "Jade" Jones, 45, of Quartzsite, Ariz., was taken into custody by local police at the behest of Quartzsite councilmembers, over the objections of the mayor, who pleaded with officers not to remove the woman.

Mmm, Daniel Craig is nice, but I also saw that Harrison Ford is in it as well and, well (showing my age here) Han Solo was my very first crush! Heh heh ~sigh~

Awesome! Congrats for being on the bestseller list! :)

Serena, Harrison Ford, the mean tough Sheriff in the movie, is looking grizzled, but damn sexy.

Oh, thank you! I'm hoping Kandy will move up some... magickal wands crossed... or something like that. ~grins~
