What Dreams May Come, or not...

Strange days have found us, definitely, my beautiful KitKats... late night mews... the night sky is clear and the constellations are gorgeous... the crescent moon can barely be seen through the trees limbs... the other day, the Kougaress was reminded of how much, during her twenties, she wanted to bring forth her dreams of life. It was the brightest of hopes. Like watching the movie, Pollyanna, in glorious living color.

One of young Big Cat’s dreams was not only to live her own dreams, but to help others do the same. It was this unbearable being of lightness *feeling*, and so powerful moi dedicated herself and during decades of her life did everything in her power to bring that about.

Why? Can you imagine the type of world we would all be living in... if all of us could live our dreams? Can you imagine the wonder? The wonderfulness? The sheer beauty? THE HEAVEN?

What dreams may come, or not... in these current times, in this day and age, however, the precious dreams of human beings for themselves, and for others, are being killed off en masse by many WHO are dedicated to being dream-murderers. No, not just those poor souls who have lost their way and want to ruin life for everyone else... though, those individuals exist, of course.

But, what if there were a diabolical group of psychopaths... so hidden most folks can’t and don’t see them [think James Bond level villians]... who wanted to take over the world by using technology and psychological-scientific methods to take away everyone’s dreams, to destroy the precious dreams of us all?

Most of us live in the hope of achieving our dreams. Often, that’s what gets us through the difficult times... what if, the dream killers could so destroy our hope of bringing about those dreams of our hearts that we are destroyed in spirit... what would our beloved world look like? If that were true?

The Dreamer in Me
by Serena Shay

I am spent.
No, not from a lovely morning romp or a wild night of extra-curricular activities. I'm spent from a night of oddly exciting dreams.

Contemporary Romance – Contemplating the Sub-genre
by Rebecca Vickery

Exactly what is a contemporary romance? Why are we so drawn to them? And why do we expect a “happily ever after”?

Moi’s mew-sing ~

Rebecca, an absolutely excellent explanation of contemporary romance. As a reader I must have a HEA!!! Why? For one thing life is tough and endlessly routine, and there's not enough happiness, imo. And, HEA is a fantasy I want to live since I've always been in love with love.

As an author whenever I write in current times, except for my shapeshifter novella, I identify the actual year and month, etc. Given the quantum rate of change in technology. And, given, our times are called the Quickening by some, every story is outdated once it's written.
There is no way to make stories endlessly current, or contemporary.
What? Is she talking on an old-fashioned landline princess phone in the 60s or on an iPhone that won't compute and needs duct tape.
Music changes year to year. The lingo I used when I grew up isn't the current lingo. This is a vastly different world. Look at the economy during the late 90s and look at it now. Vastly different. Therefore, you have a totally different worldview and reality.
I always write with an eye toward future generations. [not that any of my books will survive]
However, I give what is actually current in the context of my story because, by then, it will be history/herstory.

Destination: Berlin Blog Tour Stop
by Stephanie Burkhart

Just a little about me:
I was born and raised in Manchester, NH with a hungry appetite for reading gothic romance, especially by Victoria Holt. I served in the Army for 11 years from 1986-1997 and spent 7 years in Germany. My time in Europe inspired two passions – my love of history and the paranormal. Currently, I live in California and work for LAPD as a 911 Dispatcher.

"Destination: Berlin" was the first novel I wrote, and I used a pen name.

X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues...

Part 565 ~

Sylva waited, knowing her Zeke thought quick about something. ‘Where the two tectonic plates join it’s not visible that way, darlin’ mine.’ Sylva watched Zeke turn toward his dad’s approach. “There’s a new anomaly, son. Looks like a crease. The sea floor is buckling in a strange way. We think from the readings we got so far, it could be the bomb malfunctionin’.” Sylva felt herself shiver like a storm-blow leaf, a different sensation in astral form. ‘Malfunctioning!’ she repeated. “No danger of explosion,” his dad continued. “But, we’re trying to figure out exactly what’s going on, and the damage.”

Zeke felt his own quandary deepen. How did he stay in mind contact with his precious wife and deal effectively with this potential disaster? “What kind of damage have you detected?” Zeke asked, and listened for his Sylva’s words. “The tectonic plates are being jostled and are actin’ like pudding when you shake it in a bowl. We’re tracin’ the flow of energy. Looks like it’s headed south and not north. Yet.” Zeke fell into step beside his dad as they headed for the viewing area. “Trouble is, gentlemen,” Jamison spoke once they entered, “we can’t siphon out the energy...

Propa-Genda Alert !!!

The racism divide [mostly created by the constant tactics of yellow journalism] is being hyped non-stop and widened to the size of the Mississippi River *on purpose* by THOSE who want to keep us ALL divided and distracted away from the real issues confronting us as Americans.
