PHILADELPHIA – Fifty years to the day after the release of the hip-swiveling tune "The Twist," the man who made it famous celebrated the occasion in his hometown.

Chubby Checker performed Friday at a free noontime concert at Philadelphia City Hall. About 1,000 people joined in on the gyrations, some even invited onstage by the South Philadelphia-bred singer.

"The Twist," released as a single on July 9, 1960, burst into the rock 'n' roll stratosphere after Checker performed it for Dick Clark on his Philadelphia-based "American Bandstand."

Checker's 1960 cover version of the Hank Ballard and the Midnighters song — released a year earlier to mild success — became a smash hit and turned the dance into a pop culture touchstone. It remains the only single to reach No. 1 on the U.S. charts during two separate runs, in 1960 and again in 1962.

Okay, the Kougar got some penning done on Kandy Apple for Halloween... not as much as she’d like... still... On Coast to Coast am... Spooky, the song, was bumper music, and is featured in Kandy.

Even Sync-cooler ~ ufologist and cryptozoologist, Nick Redfern was the featured guest. He talked about his new book Monsters of Texas and shared tales of bizarre creatures reported in the Lone Star State.
What did he talk about, KitKats? ~ Texas Black Dogs... with red glowing eyes, huge in stature, they can vanish in the blink of an eye... reports mirror the black dogs in England... they are seen as harbingers of death or sometimes helpful, leading the lost to safety.
Oh, and this... there’s also a population of the Big Black Cats that have been spotted. Moi knew a good man she did business with for twenty years plus. He hunted regularly and had seen those Big Black Cats, and so had the forest rangers he knew. They just didn’t tell the public.

Powerful Dreams Around WHEN A GOOD ANGEL FALLS ~ Wow! Darling Felines, what an intense dreaming period for this Big Cat today... she had three or four consecutive dreams that featured her angelic 2012 erotic romance, When a Good Angel Falls... in fact, the colors of the dream were the colors used for the cover art... and cover art images were there in a dream-impressionistic way... so, what was going on? ... well, *someone* was reading the book and making complaints... no, not like a bad review... but, as in, complaining about the content of the story... that is, it shouldn’t have been written... as ‘in’ it *revealed* too much... what that *too much* is ~ seemed to be centered around the heroine and heroes as ‘angels’, and, also, what they accomplished in the story... and, nope, not like a religious person might say it... there was no condemnation on holier-than-thou grounds... but, more on the grounds that it was a thorn in their side THEY didn’t want... as the dreams continued... it became more clear that the DARK powers-that-be weren’t happy the book had been written. Not at all. That was emphasized over and over. And over. By someone, rather like a telepathic communication.
There were no overt threats made... that the Kougar can recall.

So, now what? Who would even believe this, except as dreams? From this Big Cat author’s perspective, what can her book do to THEM, or those known as THE NEW WORLD ORDER crowd? It’s not as though Angel is some hot seller on Amazon. Really, how many readers would even look at the story as anything but fiction?

Why does moi think there’s more to this than just dreaming per usual? Because of the sheer enduring power of the dreams. The deep impact once this Big Cat awoke. This WAS NOT merely ordinary dreaming. And, yowls yes, it’s hard to explain.

So, yeah, right... meow tongue in cheek... what a PROMO TOOL... The New World Order does not want you to read this book... buy here. Of course, who knows, maybe that was the purpose of the dream... merely to offer a new way to promo??? *Shrug* ... However, this Big Cat ain’t buying that one... but then, again...???

Of course, the Kougar would adore completing the second book in this series...

Oh, moi should add, there was a disturbing quality to these dreams... not exactly menacing, but definitely disturbing.

A new bookstore has opened up in WV called Kozy Korner Bookstore & More. The owners Sue Carroll (aunt of DeNita Tuttle, the owner of Author Island) and Pat Lovejoy are devoting an entire room of their bookstore to autographed books.

They are asking authors to send in no more than five autographed copies of any one title for sale in their store on consignment. Authors will receive 60% of the book's sale price once the books are sold. So include your mailing address and email when sending the books so they know where to send the check (and to whom to make it out).

As well, they are looking for promotional material to hand out to their customers.

Until a mental thwack struck her, and the ‘knowing’ occurred. ‘When is all of this happening?’ she asked, in case the angelic presence was still around. ‘I mean, I don’t think when I went to my Earth, it was at the same point in time... okay, I’m really confused.’ Stillness. Nothing. Yet, the eery sense remained with her. ‘When you visited your Earth, it was the future. Summer 2010,’ the gentle voice answered. Sylva sat straight up.

Zeke didn’t allow himself to dwell on the nightmare scenario that wanted take over his thoughts. “One reason we got to rope and hogtie that bomb proper,” Jamison spoke up. He stood on other side of his dad and was one the frogmen Zeke had grown up with. “Ever been on a diffusing team before?” Zeke asked. “Yep. I’m damn good at working those critters so they give up their energy quick and quietly.” Zeke nodded, then offered, “The submersible can suck up the energy for fuel. Is that one plan?” Jamison nodded in the negative. “It would be overload.”
