Really, where the hell are the stars...

Late night yowls, my glorious and adorable KitKats... temp-hot and sorta muggy on the tame prairie, although it didn't get as hot as forecast... yes, my darlings, another 2012 trauma drama day for this Big Cat... her head is in a decided and constant whirl and has she ever been crazy-busy too... once again, the Kougaress has to ask, does it ever end?

The Big Announcement
by Pat Cunningham

Vernon MacMahon, owner of Talbot’s Peak’s own Grease ‘n’ Grill, takes great pleasure in announcing that Eleanor Ewing has agreed to join him in a state of holy matrimony. The wedding will take place this August at—

“ZIVA!”

Ziva winced. Nick’s tone didn’t bother her, but the volume was uncalled for, especially right up against her sensitive ears. “Problem, boss?”

Nick shook the latest edition of the Gutts ‘n’ Butts Gazette in front of her face. The paper was folded over so the offensive story couldn’t possibly escape her. “What the hell’s this?”

“Your dad came in while you were at lunch and asked me to run the announcement. What was I supposed to do, tell him sorry, can’t do it because his son the editor is a racist jerk?”

Really, where the hell are the stars... do you remember a time when at dusk you could see the first bright stars, dim though they may be... yep, starbright, starlight, first star I see tonight, I wish I may, I wish I might, have the wish I wish tonight... gosh, are those days long gone on the tame prairie. Why? NO STARS!!! not for night after night after night...and it's NOT OVERCAST. There are no clouds, no thin layer of clouds, and there are no clouds on the weather map... so it's nearing eleven thirty here, AND WHERE ARE THE STARS? Yes, the crescent moon is up, and looks lovely... but NARY a star does this Big Cat observe. Where are they? She's not even seeing any of the planets like Venus or Jupiter. The only logical explanation going is that the smoke from all the terrible wildfires out West is overhead. However, in time past, the Kougaress smelled the smoke. One could say the smoke is too high up. Possibly. But hell, the whole damn sky is covered. Wouldn't there be spots, areas where you could at least glimpse stars? Not to mention the moon doesn't look like it's behind a veil of smoke.

Big Cat by-the-numbers ~

1:11 am... 2:12 am... 2:22 am... it's a war of frequencies as one woman pointed out when she talked about the extreme danger to health that the smart meters are... but, hey we're all supposed to die from the horrific affects of these frequencies while being spied on and denied power at someone else's whim... not to mention the design is so poor, the smart meter is a fire hazard... people have already had fires, and had their appliances ruined by those weapons they decided to call smart meters... but, yeah, the corp-gov loves you... just remember that...

The most powerful weapon is the human soul on fire.

~ Have a magickal month of June ~

~ MAY YOU ALWAYS HAVE ENOUGH ~

And, May you live the dreams of your heart, not in interesting times...

Glorious and adorable kisses from the Kougar...

Interesting observation about the stars, Savanna. I'd be willing to bet it has something to do with the wildfire smoke, but you're right, it doesn't explain the lack of a veil over the moon...

From my perspective, north of you, the stars are still shining, but not as brightly...the seem much dimmer now than when I was a child.

Exactly, when I have seen the stars...maybe a month ago...they do seem dimmer. Thanks for telling me that. ~big sighs~
