wild pink roses... so beautiful!

Thanks to The Galaxy Express ~ thegalaxyexpress.net ~ for reminding this Big Cat about the 35th anniversary of STAR WARS ~ one her favorite movies of all times. The 'space opera' film was a gamechanger in her life. And, it still is.
~~~~~~
Friday into Saturday yowls, my dancing-queen Big Cat Beauties... lightning last night and this morning, but very little rain on the tame prairie... on her walk back from the mailbox, the Kougaress saw a small bush of wild pink roses... so beautiful!
So now this Big Cat is not so worried about all the little baby trees growing around her house, and other places on her land. She so wishes she had places to plant the little ones that are too close to the house, and in other places that don't work. Why?
Because of the big-time drought and the rise in temps, especially out West, trees are dying at an unprecedented rate from disease and from insect infestation. So, of course, one suggestion is that people plant trees fast and often. If you are able, plant a tree. Here's the blurb of Linda Moulton Howe's report last night on COAST TO COAST AM:
In her last report, she interviewed Jim Robbins, author of The Man Who Planted Trees ~ amazon.com/The-Man-Who-Planted-Trees/dp/1400069068/ctoc ~ which chronicles the efforts of Michigan tree farmer David Milarch, who has used tissue culture and grafting, cloning 52 of 827 living giant trees with the idea those trees were tough enough to survive centuries of different climates and a variety of disease and insect attacks. From Canada to Colorado, trees in the high country have been dying out at an ever-increasing rate. Robbins suggested that a hotter, drier climate in the area had increased insect populations that were damaging or killing old trees.
Since the Kougar had to turn off her computer because of the lightning she didn't get any penning done last night. However, she has made some progress today on her WIP ~ Her Midnight Stardust Cowboys ~
Brotherly Love...
by Serena Shay
“Mooney, Moon-man…” Nick rapped at his brother’s door, frustrated he was being made to wait. “Come on, Moon…pull yourself out from between Marissa’s…”
The door swung wide and Nick found himself peering at the almost alpha-like eyes of his mangy brother. “Don’t say it, Nick…don’t fucking say it.”
“I wouldn’t have to say it if she’d let you up for air every once in a while…so whip…Ugh.”
Mooney struck as Nick knew he would—balls to the wall—that little bit of alpha in him defending his bitch even though she was human.
BIG CAT LIFE EXPERIENCE ~
Smoke and mirrors... always smoke and mirrors... wow, does this Big Cat wish she'd been much more savvy about how the world truly worked during her youth. Knowing the truth would have changed the decisions she made at the time, as she's yowled about before.
But no, she got hoodwinked big time. For one example ~ the Contra hearings that revealed a gigundis coverup by certain factions of the gov... well, the Kougaress assumed, because of these revelations before congress, that good changes would be made so that sort of horror wouldn't happen again.
BUT NO!!! in truth the exact opposite occurred, and thousands upon thousands of times worse up to this day. The hearings were merely used as the 'smoke and mirrors' that kept the public blinded to what soulless evil was actually occurring at the time.
This Big Cat has harbored the 'false' idea that whenever coverups were exposed by brave whistleblowers and journalists for all to witness, whether it's local or national, that would ultimately improve society, make a better world for us all.
However, all that's happened is that these 'serial killers of society' get smarter, more cunning, move the chess pieces with more expertise. They hide themselves and their mad-scientist projects better while taking over the world as the supposed saviors of humankind.
In these times, their criminal evil so permeates the top echelons of the corp-gov of our country and the world, there is no way for any of us to live a decent and good life without taking back our power.
Obviously, you can do the best you can to live well, and happily. To be in concert with your Inner Self and the Divine. However, until we stand together in truth, in freedom, and demand what is rightfully ours as human beings... until we unhook ourselves from their matrix-like grid, and get out of the system, then join hands as one people... until then the evildoers win.
Get Ready for the Transit-of-Venus
Scientists and amateur astronomers around the world are preparing to observe the rare occurrence of Venus crossing the face of the Sun on 5-6 June, an event that will not be seen again for over a hundred years. The occasion also celebrates the first transit while there is a spacecraft orbiting the planet - ESA's Venus Express.
Seismic Hazard: Faults Discovered Near Lake Tahoe Could Generate Earthquakes Ranging from 6.3 to 6.9
Results of a new U.S. Geological Survey study conclude that faults west of Lake Tahoe, Calif., referred to as the Tahoe-Sierra frontal fault zone, pose a substantial increase in the seismic hazard assessment for the Lake Tahoe region of California and Nevada, and could potentially generate earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 6.3 to 6.9. A close association of landslide deposits and active faults also suggests that there is an earthquake-induced landslide hazard along the steep fault-formed range front west of Lake Tahoe.
How Colors Got Their Names
Thursday, May 24, 2012
The order in which colors are named worldwide appears to be due to how eyes work. Researchers have found that colors familiar to one culture might not even have names in another, suggesting that different cultures indeed have different ways of seeing--and understanding--the world.
Color names always seem to appear in a specific order of importance across cultures: black, white, red, green, yellow and blue. In LiveScience, Charles Choi quotes physicist Francesca Tria as saying, "If a population has a name for red, it also has a name for black and for white--or, if it has a name for green, it also has a name for red." But if a population has a name for black and white, that doesn't necessarily mean they have a name for red.
Confused? You need to find the colors you like in smart paint! Engineers have long dreamed of a paint that could FIND and REPAIR cracks and other damage to bridges and wind turbines. Well, that future is here.
It's made up of the old fashioned mixed with the modern: fly-ash (a fine-grained waste product from coal-fired power plants) and carbon nanotubes (cylindrical molecules made of elemental carbon). The material like cement in texture--in fact, it's so cheap that whole structures could be built using it instead of cement.
When it dries, the fly-ash acts as a coating (like paint), able to withstand the elements in places where it's exposed, while the carbon nanotubes conduct electricity.
The tubes' conductivity is affected by cracks in, or corrosion of, the painted surface. When they're under stress, the nanotubes bend and become less conductive. If they detect chloride ions, (the result of corrosion by salt water), their conductivity increases, making it possible to determine WHAT KIND OF damage is there.
I'm with ya on the plant a tree train! It is such an easy thing to do to improve our planet. Our lungs and brains...our whole darn bodies will thank us for all the extra oxygen we lovingly supply it. :D
Oooh...Star Wars, love that movie!
