"Stars," Zance spoke from behind her.

No, it's not Halloween, and you're not stepping into the Twilight Zone of cheesecake witches. As synchronicity goes, the Kougar noticed this pinup witch was painted by the same artist as yesterday's pinup. Since, she likes 'most' things witchy when it comes to heroines and magick, she thought this would be another 'treat' for the eye.

Saturday into Sunday yowls, my sunset-bathing Big Cats... muggy warm on the tame prairie today... but the sunset was a gorgeous wash of purple-pink colors... oh, if only that was a beautiful reflection of the world.

"Stars," Zance spoke from behind her.

"Stars," Zance spoke from behind her. "Look around. You're all starry, sweetheart."

"Not starry-eyed," Sherilyn automatically responded, even as she lifted her gaze toward the ceiling.

She gasped. Arching backward, Sherilyn stared at the glittery pinpoints that seemed to surround her -- even though the room was awash in sunlight.

It's Green What?
by Solara

“What do you mean it’s green?” Josh eyed the bottle of wine sitting on his desk. He glanced up and watched Anthony open another case of wine shipped from their newest acquisition, a vineyard in Ireland.

Anthony pulled out several more bottles, placing them on the desk in front of Josh. Josh pulled a bottle to him. “How the hell do you propose to sell this stuff to a pack of meat eating animals? Shifters got some couth, not much, but some.”

When a Hum Becomes an International Incident
Friday, May 4, 2012

A hum coming from somewhere in Detroit is driving people across the border in Canada crazy, to the extent that it's become a become an international diplomatic incident: Canada dispatched an aide to their foreign minister to the area to try to find its source and put a stop to it.

In the April 30th edition of the Wall Street Journal, Alistair MacDonald and Paul Vieira describe the "Windsor hum" as a low-frequency rumbling sound that can be as loud as an idling diesel truck and can rattle windows and knock objects off of shelves. Many Canadians keep their furnaces or air conditioners turned on all the time in order to drown out the noise.

But here's what's really strange: People on the American side of the border can't hear it.

Alistair MacDonald quotes ministerial aide Bob Dechert as saying, "The government of Canada takes this issue seriously."

However, the American side admits nothing. The Wall Street Journal quotes Michigan representative Hansen Clarke as saying, "It may not be actually emanating from Michigan."

They quote River Rouge mayor Michael D. Bowdler as saying, "The only place I am hearing noise from is Canada--from politicians complaining."

An Iphone That Gives You X-Ray Vision
Friday, May 4, 2012

What if you could use your iphone to develop the Superman-like skill of having X-ray vision? Well, now you can: A microchip enables a phone to see through walls, wood and plastics and--although the researchers deny this--through clothing as well, meaning you can check out someone's body before you bed them.

Right now, it only works at close range, but eventually you may be able to check out someone across a crowded room--long before you approach them. The inventor, identified only as "Kenneth O.," emphasizes its medical--not dating--usefulness, and is quoted in by Rob Waugh in the April 19th edition of the Daily Mail as saying, "We've created approaches that open a previously untapped portion of the electromagnetic spectrum for consumer use and life-saving medical applications."

The most powerful weapon is the human soul on fire.

Yeah, I know what you mean about the time monster. I had a thought that our flashes, when m/f, could also be posted at HEA, since no one else seems to be using that blog right now. And it's such a waste.
