Peter Graves, He was One of the Best

Pic of Peter Graves in the Australian TV show, Whiplash

Ola, my Beautiful Big Cats... yes, the actor, Peter Graves, has *Airplaned* into that great sky of goodbye at a ripe old age. May he enjoy the rewards and all that heavenly place has to offer. He was one the Kougaress’s absolute fave actors over the years. Not only because of his obvious good looks, his manly bearing, but dammnit, he was an outstanding actor, his range nothing less than absolutely impressive... from the darkest drama to slapstick comedy, he did it all incomparably.
This Big Cat girl first swooned over him, as a kid, when she saw Mr. Graves in the children’s TV horse show, Fury. He played the adoptive single father to the boy who won the trust of the wild stallion, Fury. Okay, the horse was her first love, but Mr. Graves was a strong second.
Of course, much later, Peter Graves was totally covert-irresistible in Mission: Impossible... good lord, moi loved that show. Sorry, but none of the movies measure up to the TV series.
Oops, she’d forgotten about the time he hosted a Big Foot documentary, but this Big Paranormal Big Cat watched it. You betcha! Good lord, Mr. Graves had a virile voice.
And! AIRPLANE. Peter Graves played Captain Clarence Oveur in the movie-breakthrough comedy, Airplane! and Airplane II: The Sequel... yes, this Big Cat girl embarrassingly laughed her buns off in the theater.

Farmington, New Mexico on March 17, 1950 ~ Googlie that beyond-the-amazing UFO event that occurred and was reported in the local paper. So, *exactly* why are we being lied to over and over and over and over again?
~~~
Dang, who would have known the folks who are professed Greenies are green and mean, in general? That is, according to a profiling study report they are more likely to steal and lie and just plain be nasty little critters. This is surprising to the Kougaress, who would have thought their moral compass would be much higher.
~~~
Oh, and beware of ‘cloud computing’... yep, once you let anyone/them have your data in that great ONE SIZE FITS ALL computer in the sky... well, you’ve just set yourself up for every manner of criminal intrusion and the use of your private data by whoever and whenever they want it. Guaranteed nothing will be sacred and everything you say and do WILL absolutely be used against you however *they* decide and deem it to be, whether in a supposed court of law or by pain compliance... hey, isn’t torture acceptable now?
Ooooh, who could write this stuff? But, authors do, don’t they? They just call ‘reality’ fiction.

Happy Courtship on another Earth

X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues...

Part 444 ~

Sylva loathed not knowing what happened around her, especially since Zeke had just charged downstairs. Mentally cursing, she stayed put for long moments, and listened for all she was worth. Given how well built the roomy apartment was, she doubted she’d hear much of anything, unless it was gunfire or bodies crashing about. With the suspense killing her, Sylva inched her way along the wall while trying to decide what it was she planned to do exactly. Glimpsing Zeke’s gunbelt, complete with pistols, hanging on a peg, she slowly moved toward it. Yeah, she’d probably shoot her big toe off.

Zeke bounded downward, at the same time raising his rifle for ready use. Lariat burst inside, leapt to his right, paused an instant, then whipped around and shut the door, just as another shot fired. It pinged off the reinforced door. Both he and Zeke took up positions at the windows on either side of the door, and waited. If there was another bullet fired, then they could tell where their enemy was located. “Who?” Zeke threw the stage whisper, once nothing happened for several minutes. “Don’t know. Bastard tailed me into town. Knew he was up to no good.”

Oh, man, I loved Peter Graves in Mission Impossible. One of the things I hated about the remake of MI was that they made his character a bad guy. Sad loss.

Serena Shay said...

I was to young for MI, but the Airplane movies were quite a giggle-fest. :)

Savanna Kougar said...

Jolie, yeah, the movies were a whole different type of story, really. Not Mission Impossible.

Serena, yep, and a breakthrough for that time period.
