My Heroine During the Conflicts

Evening meows, my gorgeous KitKats, above is an artist's rendering of Atlantis at the bottom of the ocean. Moi could never discover the artist. This is definitely a Mars Rising day, even if the red planet isn’t rising. The Kougar has done claw and fang battle with e-swindlers. If any of you use SlideShare, or any site/forum/whatever that allows an author’s book to be downloaded or read in any manner, without proper purchase (you know, the money actually goes to the author and the publisher) ~ PLEASE DON’T. These sites are allowing authors to be ripped off big time.
Gee and roar, it doesn’t matter if you can prove you’re the author or that your book is available at the publisher’s site... and, thus not theirs to steal... well, darn it, they still can’t interfere with some criminal’s nebulous digital right. No, they don’t dare remove your copyrighted book.
No, this Big Cat Author is NOT JUMPING THROUGH SOME SORT OF STUPID ENDLESS MAZE OF HOOPS to prove the obvious. Whatever that particular crap Digital Media law is ~ the bottom line, it’s nothing but a fancy legalese way to rip off authors and others who write. It’s a way to steal from the artist, plain and simple.
Artists unite! Let’s take back what belongs to us and screw the Establishment!
A copyright is a copyright. Universal law is universal law. You sow what you reap. So once again, reap this you Scum Swindlers!

All rights reserved. No part of this e-book, audio book or print book may be reproduced in any form or by any means without prior written consent of the Author or Publisher, excepting brief quotes used in reviews, articles or blogs.
IF THIS DIVINELY GRANTED RIGHT IS VIOLATED IN ANY MANNER, THE PERSON OR PERSONS WILL KNOW IMMEDIATE KARMIC CONSEQUENCES. AND SO IT SHALL ALWAYS BE. AS IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN.

BTW... the Kougar has it on good authority her Spirit Animals will use their claws and fangs to properly chastise those in offense, including those who are responsible for such a reprehensible law... so, go ahead, scum swindlers, continue your perpetration under the pretext of obeying a bad law.

My heroine during the Conflicts... Friday, August 28, the Kougar is blogging at THE PINK BLOG for Heroine’s Days.
Here’s the beginning ~

Sheriff Kalypso Sun Wing ~ Last Words, Maybe...

Carefully, Kalypso unfolded the old, 20th century notebook paper. The pages were stained by time, by her tears and by blood because her fingertips had cracked in the winter cold. Heaving in a breath, she read her opening words.

These are my last words, maybe...

Compelled to read what she’d written during the height of the Conflicts, Kalypso sank down into her favorite sunset-watching chair. Automatically, she opened her arm for Rhiannon. She was always the first one of Kalypso’s dogs to jump up for a cuddle.
“Guess what, gang,” she addressed the seven other doggie faces alertly gazing at her. “I’m now the Sheriff of fair New Atlantis. How that happened, I’m not exactly certain. Except someone has to do the job, right? And I am damn good with weapons.”

Bringing the pages to eye level, Kalypso sighed down to her soul and felt a sharp twist of pain. She’d realized decades ago, the agonies of her life would never leave. They would remain with her for as long as she lived, now much longer than she’d ever anticipated. She’d figured her life was over when the Death Monopoly, as it was called, had announced itself to the world. Like the most ruthless and bloodthirsty mafia they had surfaced and declared rule over the entire planet.

I will not survive for much longer.

X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues....

Part 243 ~

Sylva loosened her hold on her cowboy’s arm after noticing how hard she gripped. “Do you see the steaming cup o’ coffee sign?” Zeke rumbled, amused. At her nod, he continued, “That’s the Diner. I think we’re just fine, darlin’.” Sylva heard his relief and decided he didn’t think anyone was gunning for them outside. However, she knew he was still concerned about what would occur inside. Keeping her tucked close to his side, he shoved open the door. The friendly clanging of a bell seemed to announce their presence. Trying to see everything, Sylva peeked from beneath Zeke’s arm.

Zeke took in the entire diner with one sweeping glance. Seated at the counter, Ranson swigged a brew and waited for him, his appearance calm yet on alert. To Zeke’s left, Marina and Grant were seated in the booth that gave the best view of Ranson. Without hesitation, he guided his Sylva toward his smiling sparkly-eyed sister and her husband, who casually rested his hand on top of his holstered pistol. “Hey, smarty britches,” Zeke called out. “Couldn’t wait to meet my bride, could you?”
Marina toothy-smirked at him. “Nope, beastly big brother, especially since you roped yourself a wife.”

Ah, Ricardo, you are the man. And you express your admiration and love for your Cynthia in such a masculine and beautiful way. I am in awe of your penning prowess.
I must confess, though, the men whose stories I write would have fallen in love with Starr.
However, as is the way of life upon this wonderful spinning world, we all choose to our own pleasure and satisfaction. And so it is now.
May love always be yours.

One Year Anniversary ~ TANGERINE CARNAL DREAMS

Yep, most darling Big Cats, a year ago was the release date for the Kougar’s stallion shifter, sci fi erotic romance novella, TANGERINE CARNAL DREAMS. If you’d like to celebrate with moi, slink on over to THE PINK BLOG ~ Saturday, August 8 ~ for a newly written scene where the heroine and the hero first meet, since the story begins when the hero, Prince Ziocese, has already chased the heroine, Corporal Katta, half-way around the galaxy.

Here’s the beginning of the scene ~

Eight Reasons His Future Wife Refused Him

Anticipating a rolling romp with the elf-like Bregril seductress, Zio shoved the crystal entry card into the tiny slot. Within moments the opaque force field lowered and Zio knew the female he scented was the same women he’d watched leave the spaceport bar. He’d trained his lusty eye on her beautiful exceptional athleticism, then on her deliciously round curves.

Zio had lamented the woman hadn’t stayed long enough for him to saunter her way. He would have nibbled her ear with words, convincing her out of the intergalactic military uniform she wore, one that was also specific to her world.

For some reason he didn’t understand, unless the Bregril woman wanted a threesome, he stood inside the luxuriously appointed room, inhaling the officer woman’s honey musk scent and knew she bathed. Moving closer, he fully indulged his flaring nostrils, drawing in her flame-wild fragrance, partially due to her fire-shooting ability. Some in her race possessed the power to shoot lightning-like blazes from their palms.

X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues....

Part 223 ~

Sylva fingered the butter-soft suede of the figure-hugging vest held up by her cowboy husband. “I am all a-tingle,” she affected. “Both of them are absolutely fantastic. I think the butterscotch outfit, if it fits, though.” Zeke laid the dusty pink vest and skirt to one side. “Don’t you worry none, darlin’. It’s designed to fit. There are lacings on the back, both the vest and the skirt.” Sylva did a little dance inside. “I’m falling in love with the clothing on this Earth.” She smiled widely at Zeke. Leaning forward, she braced herself on his chest, meeting his lips.

Zeke brushed kisses on his wife’s delectable mouth until she deepened their kiss. Both of them realized time was growing short and they parted lips gazing at each other for long moments. “And I just might be falling in love with one tall handsome son of a gun,” his woman crooned softly. “Now, tell me. Do I wear a blouse with the vest? And where are my boots?” Zeke grinned, happier than a horse who’d found the oat bin left open. “Blouse for this evening,” he answered. Taking her hand he twirled her toward the row of full-sleeve, off-the-shoulder blouses.

Friday ~ Danielle Thorne ~ My hero! Why imperfect is perfect
Most people don’t enjoy blemishes. We throw away moldy bread, agonize over pimples, and rub those little smears on the mirror. Why then, do we prefer our heroes with a few defects?
Moi’s comment mew-sings ~
Turtle Soup is a fab title and I love your premise...
Love conquers all imperfections... so it is... here's to your beautiful post.
Thursday ~ My kind of hero... by Judah Raine ~ “I suppose, when it really comes down to it, I’m a pretty independent girl.” Another fabulous blog by Judah!
Wednesday ~ Sarah Simas: Hero Worship
Sara, fantastic bloggie! I first fell for Robinhood watching that 1937 black and white film. No one has the unique dash of Errol Flynn. Course, I wondered why Maid Marion wasn't riding with him... actually, she does in a lot of stories.
We are exceptionally lucky to 'create the men of our dreams over and over' ~ You are so right. Beautifully spoken.
I HERO ~ Adrian Paul in his role as the Highlander, especially.
However, there have been many, many romance novel heroes who did it for me. Johanna Lindsey's heroes included.
Note: I thought it was Clark Gable who starred in IT HAPPENED ONE NIGHT.
Cary Grant is ultra sexy in TO CATCH A THIEF
