Put it into the necessities of life, like basic clothing, shoes, and tools... products/goods you can barter/trade with. Keep stocking up on food, water, medicinal supplements, on heirloom seeds. If you can afford it buy junk silver, and gold that you can use to buy/sell with.
Whatever you do, get out of the major cities. Move to a small rural town, or move out onto the land, even if you have to work for food and board. Land, growing food, and ranching will be the new wealth. As will being a responsible hunter in tune with Mother Nature. If you're not in a like-minded community, form one.
Get used to the idea that you will likely need to defend yourself and your loved ones, at some point. There won't be a nine-one-one system... and if there is, it will be one that hunts you down like a mad dog, and turns you over to the nearest authority center for a bounty, and for nothing you did wrong. They'll manufacture reasons. Besides, the medical system is collapsing. And *eventually* any real medical care will be devoted to the super elite, NOT YOU! No matter if you have insurance because likely those TOO BIG TO FAILS will go bust and refuse to pay for anything.
Also, the wisdom of the elders, and practical know-how, and real knowledge about how to live life, will be the new currency
If you try to serve the System in some way, the Monster Psychopath System will end up serving you as a *meal* to the predator elites and their minions.

The Muse went wandering in this Big Cat's imagination and she thought of the obvious: The Capricious Countess... and figured there had to be a romance novel with this title. BUT, so far, an internet search hasn't shown that particular title... can it be? Really, given the gargantuan number of romance novellas and novels written and published.
