To Picture, or Not to Picture

It's an Adrian Paul kind of day...

Yowsa! My vixenish and vampy Kittens... lawd, oh, lawd, is the Kougaress broiling like a lobster in this insane heat... and STILL NO rain... dammit, crammit... HELP! Any good being or force, please we need rain!!!

Whereas, there's major flooding elsewhere in the world. The Kougaress would be happy to relieve them of some of that extra rain. Make it a win-win for everyone.

Oh, thanks so much, you soulless bastards who killed off the Gulf of Mexico... according to one expert, the dead gulf is causing all this horrendous heat in the Midwest. May universal justice find you and deal with you for your crimes against humanity, against Mother Earth and her creatures, oceans and plant life.

To Picture, or Not to Picture

The Kougar has had a great deal of fun finding images for her blog, and doing her best to give credit where credit is due... well, that may be ending to a large degree... since there may be some who aren't content with simply asking for their copyrighted image to be removed.... oh, no! They insist on suing... well, okay, if some big mucky muck used the image and obviously made money from it... but simply an innocent use by someone who isn't making a penny, let alone a dime from the image... gosh, how ridiculously immorally cruel can you be?

Bloggers Beware: You CAN Get Sued For Using Pics on Your Blog - My Story
~ roniloren.com/blog/2012/7/20/bloggers-beware-you-can-get-sued-for-using-pics-on-your-blog.html ~

QUESTION: So why isn't GOOGE & the OTHER SEARCH ENGINES being sued for copyright pics? This Big Cat must suppose the photographer/artist has made an agreement by placing their artwork on the internet to let the search engines 'thumbnail' it. Still...

This Big Cat should probably eliminate every pic on her bloggie, except her books, and other author's cover art. That would be a huge undertaking, unless there's a simple way to do it. Although, while she would be more than HAPPY to remove any copyrighted pic per request by the owner, as far as being sued... hey, you might as well squeeze blood out of a turnip. This Big Cat owns *nothing* of value, and has a very minimal bank account. You would spend far more in lawyer costs, and your reward would be zero in the money department as far as collecting. Perhaps, you could attach a lien on future earnings. But, even that's real iffy given this Big Cat's circumstances and given the sad state of her health.

Simply because she wants to share, here's the Kougar's comment:

Savanna Kougar has left a new comment on the post "The Lindas - Linda Acaster: For the Love of Writin...":

Linda, I understand what you're saying. I've always had that writer's turn of mind. Although, I labeled it curiosity when I was a kid.

Back in the mid 90s, I wrote a 'what if' alternative romance novella based on a culture that instead of being at war, the American Indian, European and Spanish cultures merged, and came together in wonderful ways that incorporated the best of all, and also honored their traditions. Nope, it's not published, but it did win an RWA contest for best paranormal.

If I had the time/energy, I would rewrite and Indie publish.

11:33 am... 11:55 am... 1:11 pm... another swindle by the mafia corp-gov... even with the drought, there's enough corn so the prices shouldn't go up... however, the big oil idiots at the top want to corner the market on fuel... read below...

Redefining Space & Time

Date: 07-24-12
Host: George Noory
Guests: Nassim Haramein, David Blume

Drought and Farming

First hour guest, ecological biologist and advocate for alcohol-based fuel, David Blume, addressed how the drought was affecting corn crops. It was earlier predicted to be a bumper year for corn, and there has been some rain, he noted, adding that though some crops may fail, the actual supply of corn should be fine. Oil company commodity speculators are buying up corn, while they say the drought is causing a crisis, with a goal of trying to crush alcohol fuel plans out of existence, he lamented. Blume also spoke about ways to modify agriculture to make it more drought resistant such as upwind of farmlands, planting trees which have a natural bacteria that is carried up into the clouds and stimulates rain. ~permaculture.com~

He is... and, gosh, did he make a difference in my life with the Highlander series. On many levels other than his good looks.
