Sunday After Salutations

Playing With the North Wind by Susan Seddon Boulet via Turning Point Gallery

Sunday after salutations, my fine and fancy Kittens... hope the holidays find you warm, happy and safe... did you know that the song Twelve Days of Christmas was actually meant for Christmas day, and the following twelve days... it seems in the past the celebration began on Christmas, and not before... so, you still have many more days of celebrating ahead... along with the New Year...

So with that in mind, here’s *one* ~

The Ice Cracks

“Ho, ho my a---“ Danny shut his mouth as a growl sounded near him.

“Watch your mouth, my young pervert,” Spirit Bear aka Mr. Tongson warned. “There are youngins about and they don’t need your influence on their impressionable minds.”

Danny pasted the best smile he could on his face and handed Spirit Bear another wrapped gift. More community service. At least the female guard on duty hadn’t whispered too hotly about lights out activities once he returned. His butt hurt more often than not any more. “Here ya go Santa Bear. This tag reads for Mickey.”

Big Cat by-the-numbers ~

3:33 am... 4:44 am... 5:55 am... 1:11 pm... 3:33 pm... 5:55 pm... 11:11 pm... when the Kougaress awoke, she remembered Red Elk strongly, a medicine man who appeared on Coast to Coast am, nighttime radio, a long while ago. Even though, he is one of this Big Cat’s favorite guests, she hadn’t thought about him in a long while... life having taken its toll, once too often... still, she did the internet search thing and discovered him at ~ redelkspeaks.com ~ among other sites. Red Elk’s knowledge about this world, and its true past, can only called amazing and incredible... of course, this could mean something major is about to happen, something that will most likely be obscured like the shadow of Earth obscured the moon from our sight during the Winter Solstice 2010 Lunar Eclipse... hold onto your hats and tails...

Okay, AUTHORS/ASPIRING AUTHORS here’s some offbeat and cool info you ‘might’ be able to use.

Banana Mozart
Friday, December 24, 2010

This is the season for classical music! Listening to Mozart may (or may not) increase your intelligence, but one thing we know for sure: Playing that lovely music in the fields helps bananas to grow and Japan (where beautiful fruits and vegetables command high prices) is taking advantage of this fact.

The fruit company Toyoka Chuo Seika shipped out its first batch of "Mozart Bananas" to supermarkets in Japan. They aren't grown in Japan (the weather isn't tropical enough for that)--they are arrive in Japan as ordinary unripe bananas from the Philippines and are exposed to Mozart's music as they ripen.

This isn't the first example of music-inspired food in that country: Some of the foods and drinks that have been exposed to classical music include soy sauce in Kyoto and udon noodles in Tokyo, as well as miso and mushrooms in other parts of Japan. Some food stores are even selling "Beethoven Bread." Rice used in sake has also been exposed to classical music. In the Japan Times, Daniel Krieger quotes brewery owner Ohara Shuzo as saying, "We found Mozart works best for sake, and that's why we use only his music."

X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues...

Part 727 ~

Sylva concentrated on her impressions. “I still don’t know. I don’t think their brains operate the same way... as ours. They were created to perform specialized tasks. I must not have threatened them... at least, enough for them to warn their superiors. Then, anyway.” Once again, Sylva gazed at Nevada, Ginger and Marina. Each one of them were deep in thought. “The next important move,” Ginger began, “is to get the word out.” Marina nodded. “Let everyone know what to be on the lookout for.” Nevada squeezed his wife’s shoulders. “That, and start collecting all relative information for the Center.”

Zeke waited a beat. “Or, do I make arrangements for you at the Center?” When Wayne and Wes remained silent, their gazes speculative, Zeke leaned forward, and clasped his hands. “Look, fellas, I got a wife to love and care for. I have a damn good life I want to live. Unless, it’s gonna win the war against evil right this moment, I ain’t traipsing around looking for a collider, or chasing robo-planes. That’s why we created the Center.” Pausing, he continued in the silence, “Me, and mine will do our part and protect our own. We’ll turn over results...”

Very interesting about the twelve days of Christmas! I didn't have a clue it was meant for after the big day...

I hope your day was warm and laid back. ((hugs))

Hey, Serena, there's always a good reason to keep celebrating.

It was a strange day, actually. But warm! [hugs!]
